You wont believe i asked my old time friend Umar on his opinion on the threat by Yorubas'

He said ''Nobody takes the yoruba's serious. If its Igbo leaders (Ohaneze) that met on realisation of Biafra we will take them seriously''

For now, all noise about Biafra is from hungry youths but for the Yorubas. We have their password....they can't make do their threat. It ended in that meeting. He said i needed to listen to the analysis of the threat on Hausa BBC.

I told him that Yorubas are the sole reason Nigeria is still one. That if they make do this threat. We are done for as a country...He said, forget guy. That threat ended on that table of deliberation. They lack the heart to carry it out.

If Nigeria is one why haven't Nigerians trusted an Igbo man with presidency. He said, you cant control an igbo man. He is too arrogant. I said but thats why they want out. He said, their leaders are not united and so its far from realisation for them.

I have been thinking about that statement all day...

Obama also lobbied the congress especially those in opposition for the bail out package after the recession to sail through. It is a norm in politics for the president to approach his opponents where he senses great opposition to his plans.

Dear Nairalanders, our democracy is growing by this act of Buhari. Checks and balances will be more rigid and no leader will take us for a ride. Indeed, i will prefer that any minister with proven acts of corruption should not scale through so that my generation who have plans for politics will watch their way ahead and shun corruption. Consequently, Nigeria will be better for it.

Finally, you are politically incorrect and outstandingly naive if you want PDP to die completely. That is not politics. Democracy thrives in opposition. Checks and balances which bring the needed change lies with the opposition because each party knows they will have to present their scorecard after four years. If you ask me, we need PDP to check the excesses of the ruling party, after all PMB was in the opposition for 16 years. So the wailing of PDP members is good.

One party system will keep us on a spot. How i wished PDP shared national assembly 50-50. Political lovers and observers would have had a swell time in the next four years. However, the current number means the take a bow and go will not work. All the ministers that took a bow in the past and went never delivered.

Guys democracy is hear...lets make it work and argue constructively not destructively.

Buhari's first action on assuming office was a historical mistake and it may hunt him for the next 4 years. Without adequate counsel, he removed road blocks and gave Bokoharam unrestrained access accross Nigeria to spread their network and establish small camps. Bokoharam is in Lagos, Enugu, portharcourt. Kogi, Niger and Kaduna. Take it or leave it. You may doubt But Know that SSS warned us 3 weeks ago.
