jnrremedy:And in your demented brain, jailing those people will bring back the dead, put food on the tables of the living and repair their damages and heal their emotions. Your myopism is so customised that it's not in the stupidity market. If you don't know what to say, face front. |
You might not share in my opinion but I have one question for all of us. Is PMB winning the war on corruption? If yes, mention one person who has spent 5 days behind bars. They are remanded on friday and granted bail on monday. Truth is, PMB would have succeeded if this is military regime. This is democracy and we don't have perfect institutions to nail corrupt fellows. IMO, PMB should block all lupholes and face front. Consistent embrace of this administration to the past will on wake us up 4 years later to realise that we have not had dividends of democracy. This anti corruption war is a serious distraction. 2019, people will remember I noted this. The men on that list are strong men who will definitely fight back. His kinsmen removed him in 1983 for stubbornness. ..history is playing back....let him face front, embrace the future, block corrupt channels, revive an obvious dead economy by strong economic ideas and we will re elect him in 2019. You may say, I don't feel the pains of families and soldiers who have died but that's not exactly what they need. They currently need reassurance that government got their back. Rebuild the waste places, ensure peace in the region, build infrastructures for them. Create employment for them and empower the youths. If PMB jails all the men on that list which will never happen, the region still needs adequate security and welfare. I can't find Ihejirikas and Danbazzau on that list is it because the later is now a minister under his regime? Danbazzau heldsway under Yaradua while Ihejirika held sway under GET. Not forgetting the NSA before Dasuki. PMB should investigate our economy further and face front. I don't see him jailing more than 5 people in 4 years. Our laws have enough lacuna to free thieves...that's why no one is behind bars 7months after. |
Can anybody remember what our president said when they asked him questions on restrictions of FX and card transactions? Can anybody show me the economic policy document of this administration. Be reminded that while we applaud them for fighting corruption, 7 months after, nobody is in jail. All we hear is noise while the gullible are kept busy in the guise that the fight is on. From August to November, they kept us busy with Saraki/versus CCB. Today it's Dasuki versus cash distribution. ..give the Dasuki case till April....The case will die natural death...We will all forget it. We were told some people returned money. Why in heavens name will you shield them. How are we to verify such claims. At all times government must find something to keep the gullible busy. My position is this, while you paint a picture that you are fighting corruption and facing security, give us good economic direction. Formulate policies that will boost investors confidence...create jobs...budget was pegged at 38 dollar per barrel as I type today it's at 33 per barrel. .. I don't understand. ..If you understand the economic direction, please educate me. |
Once it's loaded once...It won't be loaded again.....If you doubt me....Have we not forgotten Sarakis case |
Ok |
A capitalist will always be a capitalist. Even in death they think profit |
kachola:Nuthead how exactly did you arrive at that or you just want to carry over your generational stupidity to 2016..mind your business please |
It is shocking that sane minds who celebrated Yaraduas rule of law now celebrate his dictatorial tendencies. I have apologised to all Nigetia for voting PMB. We should graduate from analysing every shortcomings of mr president on the prism of PDP-APC. Can anybody tell me what our economic direction is from yesterday's media chat? Every question asked him on the economy, he referred to 1983...I don't get that part. He needs to be abreast with 21st century economic realities. I have no clue how to handle planned family vacations abroad and business trips in 2016 because of the ban on cards. PMB said money is laundered using cards. I am not a politician and has never worked for the government. Why should I suffer for the sins of corrupt few. |
PassingShot:PassingShot, sometimes you sound like some of us never voted PMB or campaigned for him. Some of us who are economists and have practiced for atleast a decade will wear our binoculars of optimism and objectivity in analysing the budget. With a view to reshape any anormalys through public opinion. Each time you tow the line of defense you clearly paint a picture of perfection in the system. Thereby making those who have genuine objections to government policis keep quiet. The budget was prepared by humans for humans. Is it the best budget ever? Wisdom will require that we wait till October 2016 to judge it. Any good economist can prepare a good budget. Let's wait till October please. Democracy rides on personal and public opinion. To that end Barcanista and his likes are entitled to their opinions and views as Nigerians You can't boost investors confidence with current iliquidity in the system. The policies on Fx in the guise of stabilising foreign reserve and boosting naira is crude economics in 21st century realities. We can't attract investors with current policies. Only private sector will guaranty the needed jobs which current policies negate. Let's wait till 2016 November to appraise the budget to give failure or pass mark |
Too much noise on this budget. What I want is a better Nigeria in 2016. The common man cares less about budget figures or how much is to be borrowed. They voted for good electricity , good health care, education, portable water. Employment and enviable economy. The silly battle and war of words between APC nd PDP on this budget is meaningress. |
I personally don't like too much activities on my suite. The second to the last guy just nailed it for me. If i'm to wed in heaven, I remain #teamblackSuit |

COZA is one church the devil meant to destroy but God resurrected it 10times better. God understands that the church is His and not that of the pastor. The church has so grown and their new place is an edifice to behold...Gates of hell cant prevail over the church of Jesus. |
PMB is currently in France for climate change conference. @Built2last can report exclusively that he will be visiting Nigeria for One week come wednesday 3rd December enroute mexico on the 10th of december. He has also told me to inform you that when he said bokoharam will end in December. He meant december 31st 2015 by 11:59pm. Abeg who dey sell the wailing form cos By 31st night, i will officially join my compatriots like Dele Momodu, cramjones, and Omojuwa who are warming up their pen to fill the wailers form. Alas, we have been scammed again. |
Hmm |
I have followed carefully the first few weeks of Tanzanian presidents policies and concluded that myself and all who voted for change were scammed in broad day light. But 2019 is not far. Our president is in Malta, and will head to France by next week. A careful look at the Canadian new prime minister also makes our president the worst mistake of 2015. Immediately he was elected, he announced his cabinet one week after...thats a man ready for governance. Have you seen our ministers since they were appointed, thats because, they dont have all the details to work with yet. Perm secs have been empowered by PMB and they consider themselves loyal to him. A minister told my mum that if this persists, He will resign next year. Whoever knows PMB should advice him to stop draging airspace with birds. He should seat down and work. There is work to be done. If you want to have an idea of where we are economically, listen to Channels and AIT business news for one week. |
Americans dont travel and so thinks any continent outside America and Europe is a forest. Most Americans think Africa is a country with chiefdoms, kingdoms and primitive savages. Why we keep running to them still amazse me.

The mindset of northerners is their greatest problem |
Former Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has said that the northern part of the country will continue to be poorer and unsecured unless extra ordinary measures are taken to solve poverty problem in the region. Addressing journalists in Kaduna after the management meeting of Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, he said: “If anybody is to see the situation we are in within the North, you would know that we are poorer than the other part of the country.” “Something extra must be done by all of us regardless of party differences because there is no partisanship in terms of development of our community and we must mobilize everybody to make sure that our security is back and the people are secured and that economic development is ensured,” he said. “ And that the youth are really mobilized for positive activities that is what we would have done so far, and that we would come back to look at some of the instructions we have given for the consolidation and the implementation of the decision we have taken.” pointblanknews.com/pbn/exclusive/north-getting-poorer-says-babangida-aliyu/ |

If you came here to check name...you are a tribalist...no thanks to nairaland that has made you so. |
They warned Bokoharam, later begged them to surrender..now they are warning IPOB. I think Nigerian government played to the script of Biafran agitators. How can Nnamdi Kanu tweet he was coming to the zoo, arrived Lagos and tweeted again and security forces arrested him. IMO, they shud have just ignored him. He was charged to court and two days after, it was on press that the bail conditions have been met... The government has been tacky about this agitation. I am not one of those who insult the capabilities of the Igbos, not just Igbos but any race that is united about a course. Not too long ago Tunisia and Egyptian youths took to the streets like joke till they got sponsors and that nation is no longer healthy today. Biafra agitation started like joke on radio and the government said they have jammed it. Today, i got a report that over 200 thousand youths shut down Owerri. Protest is going on arround government houses in India, Japan, Ecuador, and today on downing street, UK. Biafra will soon knock at the door of our enemies and when sponsorship comes for them, we are finished. It will end in referendum. UN wont allow war cause they wont be able to handle the refugee crisis. |
