It took me a while to know this guy is a muslim. He is just different |
It has not been revealed to man what his heart is capable of. I remember my Dad telling me his role in the war. he asked me if i can kill, i said never. he said he tot same until faced with the situation in war. He said he couldn't have killed less than 100 people during the war. he said he never knew he was capable of it since he never handled gone before then. Man is innately capable of anything. |

The University of Port Harcourt has been ranked the sixth in Africa and the first in Nigeria by Times Higher Education (THE), a United Kingdom-based authoritative source for information about higher education. Placed behind four South African universities and one Ugandan university, UniPort made the cut following the number of papers presented over a period of time. In this chart by world’s most trusted rankings provider, THE, it reveals the first glimpse of future Africa University Rankings. “The university rankings provider has revealed the top 15 universities in the region, based solely on their scores for research influence – in other words, how much African universities’ research papers are referred to and cited by other academics across the globe,” THE said in a statement. The research institute noted that: “To be included in this future-gazing table, an institution must have published a minimum of 500 research papers in the five year period assessed with at least 50 papers per year,” it said. Times Higher Education (THE) universities snapshot University of Port Harcourt was the only Nigerian university ranked in the top 15. The full table, which contains the top 30 universities in Africa, will be revealed at the inaugural Times Higher Education Africa Universities Summit, which is billed to take place on 30th and 31st July at the University of Johannesburg. “As the first major public consultation on the future THE Africa University Rankings, academic leaders and opinion formers will discuss plans for a full and comprehensive ranking for the region. “This new ranking will be based on Times Higher Education’s respected World University Rankings, but shaped following this initial meeting by bespoke metrics designed to meet the region’s specific challenges. “Times Higher Education is therefore calling for opinion formers from across the region to attend the Summit, founded with University of Johannesburg, to take part in the debate and help shape the future of university rankings in Africa The ‘snapshot’ table, based on just one of THE’s five respected World University Rankings criteria – research influence, gives a good indication of what a full university ranking might look like for Africa and sees two South African institutions – the University of Cape Town and the University of Witwatersrand – take first and second place respectively. www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/07/09/university-of-port-harcourt-ranked-6th-in-africa-1st-in-nigeria/ |
Delusion is when we were promised and we believed |
The United States government has vowed to continue to press the Nigerian government to reverse its anti-gay law. The US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, said this during a live-web chat with journalists in Washington. Our correspondent monitored the web chat in Abuja. Thomas-Greenfield also said that America was not bothered that Chinese companies were fast taking over the African market from their US counterparts. President Goodluck Jonathan had on January 7, 2014 assented to the Same Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Bill 2013 which criminalises homosexuality in the country. On January 14 when it became public that the President had signed the bill into law, the US, Canada and the European Union openly expressed reservations over the law. Thomas-Greenfield, who said the US had adopted the protection of the rights of same-sex people as part of its foreign policies, vowed that Washington would continue to mount and sustain pressure on Nigeria and other countries to reverse their laws against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community. She said, “As a government, it is one of the highest priorities and strongest values that discrimination against anyone based on their sexual orientation and gender identity is wrong. We believe human rights should be available to everybody. “As a policy, we will continue to press the government of Nigeria as well as other governments who have provided legislation that discriminate against the LGBT community.” Thomas-Greenfiled, who did not agree that pressuring Nigeria to reverse the anti-gay law amounted to interference, said the country and Uganda had the hardest legislation on the gay community. She said, “This is very much a work in progress, but I think you will agree with me that the law in Nigeria really went far in discriminating against this community but also people who associate with them. “So we will continue to press the government, to press the legislature to change these laws and provide human rights for all Nigerian people regardless of their sexual orientation.” She, however, did not disclose if the US would impose sanctions on the countries with anti-gay laws to achieve its objectives. Thomas-Greenfield was optimistic that the U.S would win the fight to protect the LGBT community. She said, “With what is happening in the US, you can determine how far we are willing to go. We strongly believe human rights for all people and we are particularly opposed to legislation that actually targets the gay community for discrimination. So we are prepared to push this as a policy not just in Africa but across the world.” www.naij.com/59055.html |
how people fall for this still amaze me. |
Certainly the one on black and i can guess he has not touched her in 10 years. Not with those oranges i am seeing |
America will view this as babaric but gay is human right to them. |
Not surprised Pmb seeks to negotiate. Bokoharam named him to negotiate for them at a time which he rejected because of his ambitions. Any amnesty without first settling and pacifying the families Bokoharam has wasted will mean injustice. Lets see how it plays out. |
Last last i think we may reap GEJ transformation for more seasons to come. i will not forgive PMB if he abandons Rail way and agric sector |
vanity. This money will train 200 children in local primary school |
Mighty sense from @op...The dumbest decision PMB made in his over 30 days in office is removal of the military check points. whatever happened to the law of deterence. Buhari ought to know better. i have said it in different fora that what he needed to do was face bokoharam head on for atleast one year , decimate them and then remove check points. Bokoharam will strike the most unlikely places soon. It appears we have unfortunately familiarised ourselves with the bombings in the north. the cry will be fowl when it hits Abuja. Lets look at Zaria Bombing for instance, there are about 6 military check points between Kaduna and Zaria and 5 check points between Katsina and Zaria all taken away. Bokoharam travelled peacefully to Zaria and terminated the lives of innocent Nigerians and some slow pokes are here endorsing and supporting PMBs removal of roadblocks in the face of war. The agenda can only be one and only Time will tell. Do you not wear your seat belt when passing a road you know road safety occupies? you are not sure if they are there but you wear it once you remember. Like every Nigerian, Bokoharam is afraid of military presence. The blood of those who have died are crying and here we are scanning every opinion whether it has PDP or APC undertone- kontinu @Lalasticlala |
Take note of the word ''SUSPECTED'' mastermind |
OK |
ok na.... Another GEJ Legacy. More arms were paid for that under production many will be arriving in October, whether they will be used on Bokoharam is another gist |
This cannot be the change we voted for. Its so sad to see people wake up and just die, not that they signed up for it but due to the handy work of some evil elements. The worst decision of this government was the removal of the military check points. It has everything sinister attached to it. The logical thing would have been to first fight bokoharam head on for 2 years and when its obvious they have been decimated. You remove the road block... In the last one week its been Borno-Yobe-Zamfara-Jos-Kano-Kaduna/Zaria Can you see the pattern. The question now is where next? Is it Nasarawa, Niger or Abuja. They are coming down gradually.
|
lets wait and see how it plays out first. |
Nigerians are still talking of Insecurity, permit me to remind you that Insecurity is just one of many isssues Nigerians are yearning for. I still stick to giving this government 90 days to understand their policy direction. but if you ask me, its currently not promising. When people ask me to give PMB time, i respond with, this guy had his eyez on this position for 12 years and its looking like he never prepared for the task ahead. just watching |
ok |
PMB was like make una wait, make una wait. How were you guys able to sell the change mantra to Nigerians and the bought it. Una too much abeg clap fo yaselves |
Fear "North" says the Oldest book |
Walahi, if i tell you say i never tire for this matter. I dey lie |
Moheat:congrats but you need to think entrepreneurship. you can't be wealthy working for another |
Can somebody please tell these men that every live lost to daily Bokoharam bombing is lost forever. tell them to wake up. we cant remember the last time we had a good military onslaught against the vampires. they have captured new territories and their flag flying high. |
Not to validate GEJ but a friend got a nice job at NIGCOMSAT, another at CBN and my cousin at NEPAD Nigeria. |

I have excercised restrain in Insulting Mr President for his ineptitude but each day he gives reason to. It is most annoying when you see his praise singers on this forum try so hard to give you reasons to adore him. May it not be that i wasted my ebnergy in futility to campaign and vote for this man. I will patiently wait till his hundred days in office to unleash my anger on him by all platforms necessary. For me, election is over and i care less about APC or PDP. i am not a card carrying member of any. Develop and change the fortune of the suffering citizens of this country. Is it too much to ask after all the tax paid. |
cprex:you are either a lawyer or you have travelled to saner climes and seen how humans are dignified |
