After El-Rufai left FCT as minister, the capital has been on auto reverse to nowhere.

Good things are here-kaduna people.

You have a good leader before you.

I remember he assembled the best of brains while he was FCT minister to think for him. He paid them so heavily that the media cried foul but the result is obvious till date. My neighbour who was in his team has him to thank till date

Another big winner coming to Kaduna as an aid soon is JAPHET OMOJUWA...He was El-rufai wallet on social media in the election build up

Congrats to El-rufai

No matter how hard the media tries to justify children outside wedlock with the watered down coinage ""Baby Mama"

Fornication is fornication.

I don't understand why a woman will throw herself at a celebrity and purse her future for nine months, all because the person is seen on TV.

This reminds me of women who go nude on music videos while the guys singing dress decently

women must learn to add value to themselves.

value determines price. the highre the price the more the commodity is treasured

If i am GMB's political adviser...i will tell him to spend one term...clean up the system...etch his name in gold and leave....he will forever be celebrated.

The way he is already talking tough, corrupt fellows are shivering and i bet him, they will plan to set him up. GMB is new to the game.

again, he can't throw anyboy to jail. the process remains that the corrupt fellow must be tried in a court of law with admissible evidence provided.

To what extent can GMB clean the judiciary. it is an independent arm of the govt free to become a cabal against his govt. he has to thread with caution. IMO

I am not Yoruba but make bold to say that the only reason Nigeria is still one is because of the Yoruba people. The yoruba race was the decider in the last presidential election.

The yoruba race used the intsrumentality of the media at their disposal to rubbish GEJ and brought down his regime. take the media not for granted, the media is a split image showing you what they want you to see per time, wether true or false, the media gradually shape your perspective about people, place or thing.

From the very first time when GEJ could not stand and support the Yorubas for the position of the speakership but rather blamed it on Tinubu selling out to north. Many Yorubas decided that GEJ was finished. GEJs advisers and political permutators finished him also. they made him think that pleasing the north will make him win 2nd term. The North is power drunk and has always remained so. Wrong permutation if you ask me. If GEJ had done half of what he did to please the north for the yorubas, he would have been re-elected. GEJ pulled back action on insurgency for fear of the north and what they will tag him. He built Almajiri schools and rehabilitated dams all over the north even though it was constitutionally wrong for FG to build elementary schools. He released Almustapha which angered the west..He really did alot to please the north but in my opinion was a wrong political move. He ignored the south west that vehemently cried out on marginalisation of the region in development and political appointments. Politics is like chess. every move matters from the first and you can't ignore the prize of any bad or good move...

Politics › Re: #BringBackOurGirls. story in pictures by Built2last:
Time is the acid test for every value. Time prooves everything wrong or right.

After a critical analysis of the whole chibok situation, the analogy one can use to frame the situation of Bring back our girls campaign is more like a man who came home and saw his house flooded with water. Folded his sleeves and began to mop. The wise thing to do it would seem is not to mop first but to trace the origin of the water, turn it off first and then mop up the water. Till today, There has not been any news of 25 girls kidnapped from Konduga town in Borno state earlier before the Chibok girls were kidnapped.

Gnawed ominously at the soul of this nation is a history of abuse of power, abuse of human rights and absolute disregard for value of life by both government and citizens. All these have culminated into a monstrous problem that will require a deeper thought out strategy to combat it. We all had deep concern for the Chibok girls and their parents. Emotions and sympathy has been displayed on the streets of Nigeria, some with good will, others with politics and shared desire to ride on the wings of trend for fame. Indeed, When the campaign started there seemed to be an ocean of hope from most Nigerians that the girls cry and outstretched arms for help will be heard by our armed forces and have then rescued. While our armed forces were at it, The vampire and bestial deranged group (Boko Haram) have continued their evil schemes with overwhelming impacts. The hope for the rescue of all kidnapped Nigerians went dimmer as the clock ticks. If we must have a
profound result in holding the government to rise to their responsibilities, it must not be mixed with politics, hypocrisy and preference for Chibok. Any Nigerian declared missing or killed by Bokoharam is as important as that of mr president and should be valued so.

The hypocrisy of pursuing campaigning for Chibok and turning blind eyes to all other mayhem and kidnaps committed by bokoharam to some becomes absurd hence, smells to high heavens

On Chibok girls, We all went out with passion unabated speaking and demanding for the return of the girls but no fewer than 51 persons were killed and 25 teenage girls abducted in Konduga.( We kept quiet and focused on Chibok) Are they not girls with mourning parents and relations?
Are they not citizens of Nigeria? Deserving equal call for rescue.
Why did we keep quiet when 48 boys were reported massacred in a school in Mobi Adamawa state. (We kept quiet and focused on Chibok) We have also ignored the 20 women and girls that were reported missing at a nomadic settlement, Garkin Fulani, near Chibok town, Borno State, (We kept quiet and focused on Chibok) Sometime last year, almost 100 boys were abducted. (We kept quiet and focused on Chibok) 27 Police officers have been declared missing by the Police headquarters. We kept quiet.
While we re-echo calls for Chibok, we have neither shown profound sympathy nor even imagined the pains of the wives, children and the relations of those men kidnapped.
The circumstances surrounding the Chibok kidnap and the bring back our girls campaign leaves much to be questioned. One is left to conclude or wonder why Chibok girls alone got and is still getting all the attention and blanket awareness.

The scourge of terror has been pervading our nation and it would have been more fruitful if all energy on bring back our girls is channelled at ending terror. Should we arrest Abubakar shekau and his principal officers today, Every kidnapped person alive will be rescued.
Shouldn’t the campaign be more on arresting Shekau and ending terror? I have imagined what could be going on in the minds of the parents of the Konduga girls, The parents of the massacred boys in Mobi Federal college, The husbands of the kidnapped
Fulani women.
The Bring back our girls started with clean motives but the belligerence towards Government has not solved the problem of terror and will never solve it. i forsee this beligerence towards GMBs tenure coming soon. The question those continuing with the campaign should be honest enough to answer is;
Can any of them guaranty that if the over 200 girls return tomorrow morning that another 500 will not be abducted?
Reason being that Abubakar shekau is still having his tea party in Sambisa forest. What we have in our hands is a systemic problem requiring a holistic approach. I have also asked why the dead silence by northern first ladies and their governors who should lead and we follow. We live in a system where nobody can beat his chest and tell us categorically the number of girls missing. We do not have the number of unemployed youths in our country not to talk of analysing the problems they can create in the nearest future. It all seems like a circle of doom created by years of bad
leadership and gullible over dependent population. Don’t get me twisted, I desire the return of all kidnapped fellows and not just the CHIBOK girls.
above all, i desire that Abubakar shekau and his cohorts are nailed upside down
Foreign Affairs › U.S Election Is Next Year. A Careful Look At The Candidates Running(picture) by Built2last(op): 10:04am On Apr 14, 2015
HILLARY CLINTON

This time around, however, Clinton is not just leading the pack of possible rivals — she's crushing it. Almost all polls have her ahead by roughly 40 points, with Vice-President Joe Biden second by a big margin.

As well, none of the possible Democratic contenders, so far, has any kind of buzz comparable to that of then candidate Barack Obama, whose keynote speech at the 2004 Democratic convention immediately generated talk of a presidential bid in the near future.

Different names have been thrown around as possible contenders — former Virginia senator Jim Webb, Independent Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, Secretary of State John Kerry and even Al Gore, whose spokespeople quickly dismissed such notions.

But so far, the three individuals given the best chance to pose any kind of legitimate challenge to Clinton are:

Elizabeth Warren, Massachusetts senator

An outspoken critic of Wall Street and income inequality, Warren has attracted a devoted following from the Democratic Party's progressive wing, and is seen as the only candidate who could pose any kind of real challenge to Clinton.

Despite many supporters begging her to run. her answer is always the same: No. "I'm not running and I'm not going to run," she recently told Savannah Guthrie, of NBC's Today show, who tried every which way to get a different response from the senator.

"If she were to run, she would be Hillary's greatest threat, probably because a decent number of progressive groups, more liberal organizations, are kind of on the 'draft Warren' team," said political analyst Geoffrey Skelley, associate editor at Sabato's Crystal Ball at the University of Virginia Center for Politics. "They would like to see Warren get into the race to push the issues she focuses on."

Still, Warren is no Obama, Skelley says, lacking his youth and a comparable moment where she has captured the national attention, as Obama did at the 2004 convention.

If anything, just the threat of a Warren run could push Clinton to focus on those issues, out of fear of opening up further a divide in the party between the centrists and progressives.

Clinton "really is in a position of incredible strength and she doesn't want to screw that up by irritating the left more than she already does," Skelley said.

She remains the favourites of the liberal.

So far, former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley and former U.S. Senator Jim Webb of Virginia are the most prominent contenders to take steps toward challenging Clinton. The guitar-playing populist former governor, who also appeals to the progressive flank of the Democrats, has strongly hinted he will enter the race.

He has also taken a not-so-subtle shot at both Republican Jeb Bush's probable run and Clinton's, saying to ABC's This Week: "The presidency of the United States is not some crown to be passed between two families."

But O'Malley's quest to take the nomination would be an uphill battle. He has little national name recognition and certainly would struggle to amass the fundraising needed to mount a competitive campaign against Clinton.

O'Malley is also coming off a relatively recent stunning political loss — not his own, but his Democratic chosen successor to take over the governorship of his home state of Maryland. Not only was it a defeat, but a loss in an increasingly blue state, as Kelley points out, where Democrats have won a higher percentage of the vote in the last elections than they have in California.

'Unless he's utterly deluded, his plan is not to go in there and beat Hillary Clinton. It's, 'I'm going to be there in the event that something happens,'" said Tom Bevan, co-founder of the political website Real Clear Politics.

Joe Biden, U.S. vice-president

The inside scoop is that the vice-president will not launch a campaign unless Clinton bows out. Although he's well-liked and respected among many Democrats, his penchant for gaffes as well as his age (he's 72, five years older than Clinton), are factors against him.

"Biden has become in many respects a punch line, a punch line for members of his own party, a punch line certainly on the Republican side. But it's also in mainstream culture.

Added Skelley: "I think it is telling that Clinton is overwhelmingly ahead and that Biden, who is the sitting vice-president, would be so far behind and kind of almost out of sight, out of mind for Democrats looking ahead to 2016."

permit me to also give some credit to GEJ for setting the pace for contetstants to concede defeat. this has made 2015 a difficult year for lawyers who were hither hopeful of juicy journey at the tribunals and courts.

The flip side to it is that we must be careful not to congratulate those who have wrongfully or fraudulently found their way to power.

My fingers are crossed for the general and i am pretty much hopeful.

i dont envy him at such a time when our patience span in Nigeria is less than zero.

He's got no option than to perform.

we are gradually moving to a political climate where, while you make promises, we listen and observe you closely. Failure to perform will mean boothing out.

The only way for GMB to succeed is to assemble the best of team. He is old and will not have the needed energy to do everything.

He also has to make a political statement by sending a big corrupt wig to jail in his first 6months in office. That alone will send fear down the spine of the witches and wizards that have sucked our collective wealth.

He must avoid Tinubu, OBJ and Atiku. They are richer than him. while GMB has political power, these guys have economic power and can buy anything, they can also buy the best of lawyers to rumble the polity with litigations.

He must not bank on national assembly as an ally, although APC has majority. i make bold to tell the general that NATIONAL ASSEMBLY IS ONE PARTY SYSTEM when it comes to money sharing. mention money and they drop their party.

four years is like the wind, If am in the advisory team of GMB, I will tell him to avoid doing everything

focus on

Fighting corruption
Creating Jobs
security
ELectricity

should he achieve this four, he has my vote again..i no dey for 7 point or 15point agenda

There is more to business than trading in shops that is the the fact that small chest beating minds fail to grasp.Anyway The logic of your thread is funny .Based on Ibos being dominant n Ladipo they are great businessmen. Did you visit the cattle market and see Ibos there what about the Onions and tomato market or the Foreign Exchange market. Are they the ones loading tankers at Apapa? Do they run the money market or the stock exchange. Traders sell what others make. They are much lower down the food chain. Ladipo sells second car parts whch come from butchered vehicle rejects from Europe sent home by hustling Niigerians. They also sell made to other fakes from India and China. This is not the kind of business to be chest beating about. It is not how many but how big. If you are lookin for businessmen look for the Dangotes and the Adenugas and Otedolas and Alakijas Look for people who MAKE things like Obagun of Onward press. Yes there are Ibo businessmen but they are not in Ladipo. There is a difference between a TRADER and a businessman
bro dont let hatred becloud you...the names you listed in your assertions above are new comers in business. they were nowhere in business 20 years ago...never undermine the Ladipo boys, you can have a trader in Ladipo with 20 other chain of stores in Lagos, His elder brother may be the one in Malaysia and singapore shipping down for him. do you have an idea, how much a forty fit container full of goods cost.

sit down and imagine if majority are like Igbos with small businesses that guaranty food, we wont have much corruption

lets cut them some credit, most hotels in Abuja, Lagos and Kano are owned by Igbos...they worked hard to build it...learn business from them...i am learning than hating.

Aside the excessive audacity which breeds arrogance and pride with Igbos, This is the part i like about Igbos...Everything is business...let truth be told. Igbos are way ahead in business in Nigeria.

I entered Ladipo market one day and couldnt find one shop owned by a Yoruba man in the two hours i spent there. I think business is genetic for them. can you remember the ''my oga at the top stuff'' while some of us typed on the internet, Aba boys were thinking business. Mbaka spoke against GEJ, few days after, (Mbaka but why T. shirt was all over the market). They seem not interested in white collar jobs like every other tribe. If we have more entrepreneurs, the faster we come out of the corruption in public and civil service.

When i finished NYSC, i was retained in the bank with one Emeka boy..I remember during the interview, one of the panelists said, Emeka, you are supposed to be in Aba or Alaba, what are you doing here? the Igbo jokingly said, its capital am looking for..six years after, the Igbo boy resigned, we never knew he was combining banking with real estate business..on saturdays he was a house searching agent. he told me he sold two houses in Ikoyi and resigned...

Till i left the bank, his salary account was in millions...doing so well in business, the latest he told me last year was that, one of the panelists in that our interview is now his account officer...I just love the business part of them and maybe the way they adore their wives and children. They take family very seriously. Emeka is so wealthy and lavishes his wealth on his wife and 3 boys. Needless to say he inspired me into business and i am doing well too, but not anywhere near Emeka.

Throw them into the Lagoon and see the potentials of that water developed by them. Business is a spirit in them most of us find difficult to appreciate.
