blym4real:the cabal will enjoy the prices for just two years...is it not better to sacrifice it now than bury our entire future in less than 30 people. |
blym4real:you dont get it. we have had countless investors come arround and asses our oil sector but run because the profit is not guaranteed with subsidy. the rush in telcom sector will be childs play compared to what will happen when subsidy is totally removed. it may go as high as 220 per liter but may later fall to as low as 40 naira a liter |
I totally supported GEJ when he removed this subsidy in 2012 and i will support GMB to remove it. nonsense we cant be held to ransome by some greedy vampires who think they are doing us a favour. let petrol rise to 200 naira and see how investors will flood the market. giving us the right to choice. if subsidy is removed, competition will crash the market in less than two years. why cant we make the sacrifice now and enjoy later but NO, we remain the most impatient people. |
The useless reasons people die daily is appauling |
I wonder where some people were when God was sharing sense. please before they kill this idi.at, let him know that its the man that determine the sex of a baby not the woman. It is what you pour in there that the woman will bring forth...X and Y chromosones is simple biology |
@LalasticLala, take down this thread. its a scam. banks have contacted their customers to walk into the bank and do their BVN registeration this message is a pure scam and you shouldnt propagate it. many may fall victims. fraudsters are looking for the security codes on peoples ATMs to access their accounts every BVN and ATM activation can only be done in the bank and not online and purpoted by this thread |
Its long over due. they also have to change name from PDP to something more appealing. Then bring in new bloods. Our democracy will be in jeopardy if we allow any party run a one party state. The only way the masses will have a better life is to keeping demanding and holding politicians accountable. I stand with the masses, though i supported GMB, our relationship ends there. i am not a card carrying member of any pol party. all i want is good secure country, employment, electricity booming economy. anything shot of that will have Nigerians reacting. regardless of party lines 3 years from now |
Below was my comment months back on Igbos and i maintain it. They are way ahead. visit Igbo land and you wont believe they were ravaged by war. they have met up and surpassed many Read Aside the excessive audacity which breeds arrogance and pride with Igbos, This is the part i like about Igbos...Everything is business...let truth be told. Igbos are way ahead in business in Nigeria. I entered Ladipo market one day and couldnt find one shop owned by a Yoruba man in the two hours i spent there. I think business is genetic for them. can you remember the ''my oga at the top stuff'' while some of us typed on the internet, Aba boys were thinking business. Mbaka spoke against GEJ, few days after, (Mbaka but why T. shirt was all over the market). They seem not interested in white collar jobs like every other tribe. If we have more entrepreneurs, the faster we come out of the corruption in public and civil service. When i finished NYSC, i was retained in the bank with one Emeka boy..I remember during the interview, one of the panelists said, Emeka, you are supposed to be in Aba or Alaba, what are you doing here? the Igbo jokingly said, its capital am looking for..six years after, the Igbo boy resigned, we never knew he was combining banking with real estate business..on saturdays he was a house searching agent. he told me he sold two houses in Ikoyi and resigned... Till i left the bank, his salary account was in millions...doing so well in business, the latest he told me last year was that, one of the panelists in that our interview is now his account officer...I just love the business part of them and maybe the way they adore their wives and children. They take family very seriously. Emeka is so wealthy and lavishes his wealth on his wife and 3 boys. Needless to say he inspired me into business and i am doing well too, but not anywhere near Emeka. Throw them into the Lagoon and see the potentials of that water developed by them. Business is a spirit in them most of us find difficult to appreciate. |
Since the days of Adam, you will be stewpid to underestimate the power of To.to...there are kpekus you nack and common sense will leave you...kpekus don carry Dangote accross the Niger. |

Most people above me are politicising this issue but watch what this man play out soon. OBJ's romance with the incoming government is worrisome. OBJ seeks to tie the hand of GMB from probing down the ladder...He also seeks to lash him in the future for ignoring his recommendations. OBJ will tell Nigerians that the recommendation came from the brightest brains but was ignored. I will say that Nigerians elected GMB, He should avoid OBJ like plaque. his trickery and political masochism fears the devil nuff said |

Not again |
Buhari has a lot to do really. i hope he is not distracted |
ok |
Political rascality and intolerance is far more with the masses than our leaders. Some friends have not reconciled from the 2015 elections because of political delusions and intolerance. If na me this guy do this stuff and i survive it. Wallahi, it will be my first murder, incidentally nobody will know i did it. Rubbish. Neither GMB nor GEJ will ever meet the two of them. If you are still habouring hatred for anybody as a result of the election, you are immature...simply grow up, thats the cure. |
GMB has gone global. This restaurant was named after GMB Dont ask me where its located. Their phone number is there @Lalasticlala

A young lad approached me a week ago while i was eating at a restaurant at Garki 2 Abuja and flipped open a catalogue of his products and i was amazed at the ingenuity of the Igbos. This country has raw untapped talents. He manufactured an industrial yam pounding machine that gets over 20tubers of yam pounded in two minutes when cooked. He detailed his processes in that catalogue and i asked him what he wanted from me. He said he wanted link to NOTAP to be able to showcase his products so that the world can see what he is capable of. i have made calls to arrange how we can see the NOTAP DG but was told he is out of the country. I saw myself buying him a good lunch, gave him some cash to encourage him. I was much humbled when he told me he finished from one polytechnic in Abia state. I look myself with 3 degrees and couldnt place it. i wonder the discrimination against polytechnic students and where we are headed as a country with that policy. only technical education will build entrepreneurship not the B.sc and M.sc we flash arround with no technical skill |
The Bilderberg Group has been called the most exclusive, and secretive club in the world. To be admitted, you have to run a multinational bank, a giant corporation or a country. Since its first meeting in 1953, it has been attended by every British Prime Minister. But until now its very existence has been shrouded in secrecy. The media is never allowed in the conference that holds once every year. Any hotel selected by the group for their meeting must eject every guest two days to the conference. No memeber is allowed to say a word to the press after the conference. Read more The annual Bilderberg Group conference is the most important meeting in the world. It is attended annually by more world leaders, more top politicians, more royalty, and business leaders, than any other gathering of any kind. The G8 summit is a mere side-show in comparison. No other meeting is attended by the leaders of all the major international institutions, such as the World Bank, the IMF, the UN, and the EU. Collectively, these are the men who control the world, and their decisions therefore affect every human being on earth, now and in the future. Yet Bilderberg Group meetings receive no publicity and are not reported in the news. Their first recorded meeting was at the Bilderberg Hotel in Oosterbeek, Holland, from 29th May to 31st May, 1954. The chairman was H.R.H. Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands. Since then this elite global group, which may be much older, has been called the Bilderberg Group. The people who are invited to the Bilderberg Group, and the topics discussed, are official secrets which the media is forbidden from reporting. Bilderberg is effectively an elite secret society ruling the world from behind closed doors and outside the democratic framework. In a recent Radio documentary the BBC disclosed that the decision to create a European Union was taken at the first official Bilderberg Group meeting in 1953, but the rest of the programme was devoted to portraying Bilderberg as a superficial extension of Western democracy. Who organizes the Bilderberg Group? Who pays for it? What are they discussing? What are they deciding? SOURCES: BBC News, "Bilderberg: The ultimate conspiracy theory", 3 June 2004. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/3773019.stm The Bilderberg group, an elite coterie of Western thinkers and power-brokers, has been accused of fixing the fate of the world behind closed doors. As the organisation marks its 50th anniversary, rumours are more rife than ever. Given its reputation as perhaps the most powerful organisation in the world, the Bilderberg group doesn't go a bundle on its switchboard operations. Telephone inquiries are met with an impersonal female voice - the Dutch equivalent of the BT Callminder woman - reciting back the number and inviting callers to "leave a message after the tone". Anyone who accidentally dialled the number would probably think they had stumbled on just another residential answer machine. But behind this ultra-modest faade lies one of the most controversial and hotly-debated alliances of our times. On Thursday the Bilderberg group marks its 50th anniversary with the start of its yearly meeting. For four days some of the West's chief political movers, business leaders, bankers, industrialists and strategic thinkers will hunker down in a five-star hotel in northern Italy to talk about global issues. What sets Bilderberg apart from other high-powered get-togethers, such as the annual World Economic Forum (WEF), is its mystique. Not a word of what is said at Bilderberg meetings can be breathed outside. No reporters are invited in and while confidential minutes of meetings are taken, names are not noted. The shadowy aura extends further - the anonymous answerphone message, for example; the fact that conference venues are kept secret. The group, which includes luminaries such as Henry Kissinger and former UK chancellor Kenneth Clarke, does not even have a website. In the void created by such aloofness, an extraordinary conspiracy theory has grown up around the group that alleges the fate of the world is decided by Bilderberg. In Yugoslavia, leading Serbs have blamed Bilderberg for triggering the war which led to the downfall of Slobodan Milosevic. The Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, the London nail-bomber David Copeland and Osama Bin Laden are all said to have bought into the theory that Bilderberg pulls the strings with which national governments dance. And while hardline right-wingers and libertarians accuse Bilderberg of being a liberal Zionist plot, leftists such as activist Tony Gosling are equally critical. A former journalist, Mr Gosling runs a campaign against the group from his home in Bristol, UK. "My main problem is the secrecy. When so many people with so much power get together in one place I think we are owed an explanation of what is going on. Mr Gosling seizes on a quote from Will Hutton, the British economist and a former Bilderberg delegate, who likened it to the annual WEF gathering where "the consensus established is the backdrop against which policy is made worldwide". "One of the first places I heard about the determination of US forces to attack Iraq was from leaks that came out of the 2002 Bilderberg meeting," says Mr Gosling. But "privacy, rather than secrecy", is key to such a meeting says Financial Times journalist Martin Wolf, who has been invited several times in a non-reporting role. ... As an up-and-coming statesmen in the 1950s, Denis Healey, who went on to become a Labour chancellor, was one of the four founding members of Bilderberg (which was named after the hotel in Holland where the first meeting was held in 1954). ... "There's absolutely nothing in it. We never sought to reach a consensus on the big issues at Bilderberg. It's simply a place for discussion," says Lord Healey. ... That activists have seized on Bilderberg is no suprise to Alasdair Spark, an expert in conspiracy theories. "The idea that a shadowy clique is running the world is nothing new. For hundreds of years people have believed the world is governed by a cabal of Jews. "Shouldn't we expect that the rich and powerful organise things in their own interests. It's called capitalism." Is it the anti-democratic conspiracy that its critics allege or just a private meeting to help foster global understanding? But behind this ultra-modest faade lies one of the most controversial and hotly-debated alliances of our times. Jim Pickard, Chief Political Correspondent Chuka Umunna has confirmed he will run for the leadership of the Labour party, pitching himself as a Blairite candidate. The shadow business secretary is the second person to say he will run, following Liz Kendall the shadow social care minister. Mr Umunna has said he wanted to build a “big tent” of people from different backgrounds, races, religions and economic circumstances. He published a Facebook video on Tuesday claiming the Labour party could return to power by the next general election under the right leadership. The video was shot in Swindon, the Wiltshire town where the Conservatives launched their election manifesto and which elected two of the party’s MPs in last week’s general election. “I think we can and we should be winning in seats like Swindon,” he said. Mr Umunna began his political career as a member of Compass, a leftwing pressure group. But the privately educated former City lawyer has since shifted to a more Blairite position, eschewing former leader Ed Miliband’s rhetoric that businesses could be divided into predators and producers. As shadow business secretary, Mr Umunna has spent the past few years trying to mend bridges with business even as his leader was — in the view of some executives — setting fire to them. Despite having a limited number of allies among Labour MPs, he should be able to reach the requisite 35 — 15 per cent — to reach the ballot “Some have actually suggested over the past few days that somehow this is now a 10-year project to get the Labour party back in office,” he said. “I don’t think we can have any truck with that at all, I think the Labour party can do it in five years.” Mr Umunna, the bookmakers’ favourite for the top job, was the first former shadow cabinet member to criticise Labour’s election campaign after the event. In an interview on Sunday he said: “We cannot have a message that anybody is too rich or too poor to be a part of our party.” He also admitted Labour was wrong to run a deficit in advance of the financial crisis. In recent days several Blairite figures, including Lord Mandelson, have made the case for Labour to return to the centre ground. Lord Mandelson came close to backing Mr Umunna, saying: “He’s got a bit of a way to go but will get there.” But Harriet Harman, acting leader, has called for an end to blame and scapegoating and launched a “fact-finding” mission into what went wrong. Other likely candidates include Andy Burnham, shadow health secretary, who is expected to win the backing of the unions. Tristram Hunt, shadow education secretary, and Yvette Cooper, shadow home secretary, are also expected to run. Dan Jarvis, another Labour MP, ruled himself out of the race on Monday. Labour’s national executive committee will meet this week to thrash out the rules of the contest while the unions are racing to sign up “affiliated supporters” who can take part in the voting. Meanwhile, the repercussions of the party’s defeat continued to reverberate in Scotland, where it lost all but one of its 40 seats. Alex Rowley, a member of the Scottish Parliament, stepped down as the party’s spokesman on local government in Holyrood in protest at Jim Murphy’s continuation as Labour leader in Scotland. “We in Scotland need a strong relevant Labour party and we will not achieve this under your leadership,” he wrote in a letter to Mr Murphy. m.ft.com/cms/s/0/ef26258e-f898-11e4-8e16-00144feab7de.html www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/may/12/chuka-umunna-confirms-intention-to-stand-for-labour-leadership @Lalasticlala |
