The way out is that we the people firstly must embrace that we all have our differences.....and we must then only that our current leaders are not there for us.....we must know our rights......we must then choose sensible and reasonable leaders whom we shall hold responsible........we shall not vote based on tribe or belief or whatever.....we must cooperate and refuse interference be it national or international.....when any of us gets there, we must then represent our people effectively.....and many more
We must accept that Nigeria is a federation first with each ethnic nationality having a homeland. From there we now agree on how to coexist

When did a yoruba man start caring for Igbos.
From time immemorial.

Many people on nairaland are very daft. Can I refer to every Yoruba man as Afenifere? Or OPC? Why do you people refer to all Igbos as IPOB?

I am a proud Igbo man and I don't support MNK or IPOB. Although I don't blame them in their agitation for Biafra because of the marginalization and many factors, but I don't support the way they go about things.

Learn something today, every Igbo is not IPOB.
While I will not go into details of how OPC came to be, however it is important to know that every Yoruba person was held responsible for every infraction of OPC. So holding Ipob to the same standard cannot be wrong. Ipob is Igbo.

But Ipob hate speech and propaganda is not what we need.

I'm not talking of Ndi Igbo......

I'm talking of you and I........ Yoruba Igbo Hausa.....efik....urhobo....and the rest....our leaders have been marginalising us......
That is a fact. So, what is the way out?

Oh really? And other armed groups like Boko haram, killer herdsmen, Niger Delta Militants and all the armed bandits in the North that are killing people daily are helping to build a strong nation?

Someone is talking about IPOB propaganda, hate speech and the throwing of stones in a country where other groups have long taken up arms and are massacring people with reckless abandon?

A country where other people are carrying AK47 slaughtering people, raping women, burning down communities but another persons problem is hate speech and the throwing of stones?

Common sense can be a rare commodity
Ndigbo should be part of the solution and not part of the problem Nigeria is facing.

So then define those candidates on your list. What quality can we expect, and where can we see it evidenced?
The first step is to make available expression of interest forms for vying into political offices affordable. The next step is to do a thorough background check of all the candidates. Then from among the shortlist of the best, a candidate can be picked. This way a pool of credible and good candidate is maintained.

Atiku/Obi joint ticket to contest on PDP platform is what if I may ask?. Fulani/Ndigbo political alliance is right while Yoruba/Fulani alliance is evil according to you.

The Igbos are already at the receiving end, what pains the most is that it is the innocent and hardworking Igbos all over the country that'd feel the full brunt of what they know nothing about.
These kids and deranged adults here have nothing to lose, aside their phone and some change of clothing, what else can they boast of?
They are worse than the so-called almajiri in the north. Ipob extremists need rehabilitation.

Good enough you know it's all about lies and propaganda from Kanu giving more credence to the fact that your Online Republic Of Biafra don't have a chance.
It is really sad that many Ndigbo have been brainwashed by Ipob. I used to think fundamentalism was all about Islamists. Ipob is a proof that fundamentalism and extremism has many faces.

Your behaviour on Nairaland is an answer to that question. Do you have any good wish for igbos?

Am average yoruba man doesn't want any good for the igbos, they antagonist them at all stages of government, in business dealings, in public affairs, on the street, in the press, the only time a yoruba man genuinely celebrates an igbo man is when a kanu Nwankwo scores for super Eagles.

Now if not for the expectation of tithes from Some gullible igbos, do you think the same yoruba man would want to share the same church with Igbo man?
How many of those yoruba owned mega churches allowed igbos to head their branches in South East? Please give me names and addresses? The ans is zero.. grin

kanu just reminded some igbos who are going astray that, yoruba man still doesn't like you, + or minus church.
In the 1990s when I joined Deeper Life as a teenager I never knew Kumuyi was Yoruba. My house fellowship head was Igbo. It was really exciting. However Ipob proclamation of Yoruba Church and Igbo church is too bad. Can you compare Deeper Life with Churches that are baby factories? Do you care to Know the ethnicity of the founders?

We have told them a million times, igbo man have no business competing with anyone, Laziness won't let them work hard, only to envy those who do.
Kindly explain rationale behind Ipob proclamation that Igbo must attend only Igbo church and avoid Yoruba church. Is there Yoruba church in the Bible?

Propaganda is an absolute weapon for agitation of homeland. Everything said by the leader of IPOB is nothing but the truth.
What Ndigbo fails to realize is that Ipob propaganda and hate speech is triggering ethnic nationalism all over the country. And Ndigbo may be at the receiving end with time.

I noticed they now have their own pastors e.g. Indaboski and the likes because Nnamdi Kanu called them fools for attending Yoruba owned churces and denominations..

The hatred in them is nauseating to say the least
While Yoruba are patronizing Igbo business in the west. They think one way. I guess the thinking among Ndigbo that Igbo must lead others in everything is fueling their hatred of others.

grin grin

In an earlier post i pointed out Ibos do not think ahead and imagine outcomes in a politrickery.

You just demonstrated the point.

If Tinubu moves to KOWA party and ask Yorubas to vote KOWA, APC will be displaced in SW. grin

Meanwhile Akeredolu cannot get same result by asking people to follow him to PDP or even in APC.

Think about it.

Its called forecasting. Parties hire analysts and pay them good money to calibrate and find the best 3 candidates to sponsor. Out of the three a winner emerges.

So the candidates you listed earlier are empty?

What are their values to national progress? Define it.
Actually the personality and quality of a candidate vying for an elective office matters. These features may decide the outcome of election result. However no candidate should be allowed to become a cult personality that towers above the party.

True.

You cant teach values but you can teach skills.

What values are your candidates bringing with them to move Nigeria forward?
For now candidates are out of the equation. What is important is the party composition. Who and who are in the party.

The money used to develop Abuja should be equally earmarked to develop Emekuku and the one for Lagos should be used to develop Pantani. This should be the first step of restructure for me. I believe in the restructure of infrastructure.
Nothing special about Lagos infrastructure right now. Lagos is a liability on tax payers.

How many topics have you opened on top Kanuri/Hausa/Fulani sponsored Boko haram, herdsmen, banditry killings all over Nigeria?
Oh,you are not concerned about that, you are only concerned about IPOB that is only doing mouth action.
Your concerns are politically motivated. No sincerity of purpose.
Your opinion of me is not good enough. What prompted my writing majorly on Ipob is unrelenting Ipob propaganda against Yoruba. Unfortunately Ndigbo are not helping matters. They watch as Nnamdi Kanu paint Yoruba in negative colour in all his speech and writing. That is not good enough.

The present day Fulani is created by Yoruba and minorities who joined to precipitated war of attrition against eastern region. The Fulani who was the first mayor of Enugu cannot be the same Fulani of today. If you think Fulani are part of the problem, you must embraced the fact Yoruba and the so-called minorities in Nigeria created the problem.
Fulani are themselves a tool in the complex political game going on in Nigeria. They are as afraid as other ethnic nationalities.

What makes it difficult if I may ask? The areas that belong to Igbo people in Nigeria is delimited. Ndigbo had enough land and population to stand as country. More then half of the countries in Europe are smaller than Igbo land both in population and land mass. The restructure is a joke because for it to be meaningful, Lagos and Abuja must be cited in the defunct eastern region and midwestern region respectively. My type of restructure must be grounded and equal.
Abuja may cease to be a glamorous federal capital when Nigeria is restructured. Each region will its own capital. Abuja will no more be dictating. Mutual respect will be be our watchword then.

I do not care who is Atiku. He could be Kanuri or Jukun for all the matter. It must recalled that first Mayor of Enugu was Fulani man from Sokoto voted by Ndigbo against other Igbo candidates. What Atiku/Obi presidential ticket embraced during the political campaigns which informed Nnamdi Kanu to pray his supporters to vote for the ticket is paramount.
It is important that you care. Fulani have proven over and over again that they do not have the solution to Nigeria's numerous problems. In fact they are part of the problem. Asking Atiku to take over from Buhari is a political miscalculation.

The silly presidency of Nigeria does not fly the orbit of IPOB. All that matters to IPOB is actualization of Republic of Biafra. I personally do not subscribe to actualization of Biafra. My take is actualization of Republic of Igbo land. Nigeria/ Biafra war defines Nigeria for me. I had been very foolish not to ask for country which is exclusively for Ndigbo.
Homogeneous Igbo republic may be difficult. As such a restructured Nigeria with loose centre and strong components is preferable.

It must be a poisonous peace.
With or without Nigeria the ethnic nationalities will still relate. What is Paramount now is mutual respect and equality of all ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.
