Did Kumuyi receive beating like Ekweremadu?
The truth is MNK is careless and reckless in his utterances.
Btw,have any Yoruba person spoken against this mad dog that call for Igbo genocide in Yoruba land?
To avoid this scenario was the reason we were all shouting that Ndigbo should reign in Nnamdi Kanu because his hate speech would trigger others.

Sometimes, insults should be allowed to be directed to most Nigerians who seemed to shun logic. There is nothing such permanent friend in politics but interest. If Atiku/Obi presidential campaign has shown interest in restructure and referendum in Nigeria under their watch, Nnamdi Kanu was perfectly correct to ask his supporters to vote for Atiku/Obi presidential ticket. Accusation of Nnamdi Kanus's "Agenda is to position Ndigbo as a hegemonic power in the nation seat of power" is a fallacies born out tribal induced stream of thought.
Atiku is Fulani and will never restructure Nigeria. Atiku is a power monger who was contesting power with his boss, Obasanjo, when they were both in Aso Rock. Such a person cannot be trusted with power.

Fair.

Buhari is not a candidate in 2023.

To have a forward progress Nigeria needs a leader with a socialist agenda to uplift citizens and a capitalist agenda to build and sustain economy and trade.

Our winning candidate must have proven records and tracks of success at promoting and practicing diversity and inclusion. The candidate must have a sustainable blue-print for structural growth and efficiencies in manpower, labor productivity as well skills and knowledge acquisition.

We want a candidate that understands and appreciates the contract between govt and citizens and effect policies that is balanced, not oppressive.

The candidate must understand the dichotomy between ruling govt and opposition government and exploit the opportunities of partisanship to move the country forward.

All my candidates without exception qualify on this definition.

Outline your expectations for Nigerian leadership in 2023. grin
I think 2023 should be more about the party than the candidate. Our experience with strong and powerful candidate teaches us to do away with the philosophy of powerful and and great candidate. We need a strong party that showcases a number of good and quality candidates and party members. We do not need heroes again. Messiah era is gone.

It was a political agreement made by a potential incumbent. No papers need be signed. It's either, he fulfils it or he doesn't.

As I said before, Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB movement, is about separation from Nigeria. It's not about stealing power so they can continue the old age looting, which has resulted in Nigeria becoming the poverty capital of the world. It's about breaking free from a country considered oppressive and backward, and creating a nation that can sit comfortable with the most advanced nations of the earth.
For now everything is on paper. I see Ipob as a political means towards an end that maintains the status quo

Before Nwodo, Nnamdi Kanu once gave order that Kumuyi, Deeper Life General Overseer , should be stoned if he dared step his feet in Abia for a crusade. Deeper Life called off the crusade. Ndigbo did not rise up in unison to condemn Kanu. To them Kanu was dealing with a Yoruba person. Body of Christ was less important than Biafra struggle. Kanu was on course.Biafra first and the end justified the means.

It was Igbo nationalism at its peak. Ndigbo saw all non - Igbo as enemies and Nnamdi Kanu was given the assignment to deal with them all. And he was doing a fantastic job.

Not until he attacked Nwodo did Ndigbo wake up that there are "elders". All the elderly people of non - Igbo extraction deserved insults. Ndigbo elders being insulted? No way! This is hypocrisy of highest order. Perhaps if Ndigbo had cautioned Nnamdi Kanu over his attack on Kumuyi, he would not have issued the stoning order on Nwodo. Kumuyi did not deserve respect from Ndigbo but Nwodo does.

Blood is really thicker than water and Ndigbo should also allow other ethnic nationalities to protect and honour their elders. Not even the body of Christ could make Ndigbo respect Kumuyi. It was Biafra first and Christ second.

That has been their political history in Nigeria.

They are acutely deficient in forecasting and strategizing a political outcome.

They are not involved in Edo. They are hiding at moment....but if Obaseki wins they will troop out and claim their support gave him victory.

They are not founders like Yorubas who are known for pioneering and exceling. Ibos are political opportunists.

Similarly they are unable to found developmental and industrial initiatives in Iboland but they take opportunity where industries already exist to eeke a survival.
Hopefully they will retrace their steps

Ok, so straight and direct to the point, this morning I am going to write about political fortune...or misfortune....of Ibos in Nigeria, with its impacts for 2023.

Good morning my people!

First and foremost, let us acknowledge the Yorubas and their gratuitous influence in modelling, shaping and uplifting Ibos in the political history of Nigeria. I say this because in the history of political activism in Nigeria and partisan politicking, Yoruba is the vanguard of social and economic progress in this Nation, whether in the 1800s, the 1900s or the 2000s. Colonialism came to Nigeria through the bombardment of Lagos in the war of agidingbi in 1851. By 1951 Lagos had become the hotbed of political activism and a host to many economic migrants who had come to Lagos to earn a living. Many of them later followed in the footsteps of Yoruba activists who pioneered liberty forums and political action groups that demanded representation in the administration of government. Migrants created ethnic social groups to represent their town affairs in Lagos. Towards independence, many of them ended joining political platforms pioneered by Yorubas. One of such examples is the entry of Ibo town union into NCNC, which was created by Herbert Macauley, a Yoruba. The entry was facilitated by Nnamdi Azikiwe, an Ibo, who later joined NCNC and succeeded Herbertt Macauley after death. On becoming its President Nnamdi Azikiwe turned the erstwhile national party into an Ibo party. Hence the first political party in East was NCNC. Prior to NCNC Ibo had never formed a political platform party for government representation. Their successes in NCNC, while it lasted, is owed to the pioneering work of Yoruba political activism in Lagos and Ibadan. When Yorubas in NCNC realized that their party had lost its nationalism under Azikiwe, and had progressively been turned into an Ibo party they departed, one after the other. Soon after Yoruba departure from NCNC its fortunes changed, the party withered, and could no longer secure the many successes it had before. NCNC became a subordinate partner to NPC, with whom it went into alliance to form government. This was reflected symbolically in the position given to Azikiwe as President of Nigeria, while NPC man, Balewa, held the reins of power in the Pime Ministership.

After the war, in 1979, Azikiwe returned with a new party called NPP. The party came third behind NPN in popular and electoral votes. UPN, a Yoruba party, scored the highest count. NPP had a struggle winning in its own region in East, whereas the Yoruba UPN won every state in West and Bendel and many legislative seats across the nation. UPN victory was challenged in court that its win was not spread across the nation, hence the case of 2/3rd coverage. UPN victory at the polls was overturned and NPN was declared winner. Immediately after, Azikiwe announced a alliance with NPN. Thus NPN/NPP formed ruling government while UPN was opposition government. Inspite of the experience as a ruling government twice, East had nothing to show before or after. Meanwhile Yoruba was the opposition party in both the first and second republic and it was very successful in establishing many social programs and developments in West. One of its legacies that survived till today and doing extremely well is Oodua Investment Corporation. The participation of Ibo in rulership in first and second republic was a misfortune because Ibo gained nothing out of it beside symbolism. North built an oil refinery, created a Northern Development Corporation, created newsprint, and many other tangible assets. Till today East has no development corporation, whether govt sponsored like in North or self-sponsored like in West. While North developed industrial complexes in Kaduna and Kano, and West created industrial townships in its region, the only prominent industrial complex in East was located in Port Harcourt. What has Ibo gained in its political partnership with North in our first two republics? Symbolism. thats all...and even that symbolism was subordinated to North as the default ruler.

Since we started this new phase beginning 1999, PDP has enjoyed unwavering and committed loyalty and surrogateship from Ibo. Yet it continues year after year to secure Ibo alliance and guarantees without offering any substantial gain in return. When is PDP going to make an Ibo the uncontested candidate in a presidential election? By uncontested I mean there will be no primary held. Unanimously declare an Iboman the PDP flag bearer.

I must say that Ibo people themselves are not political jet-setters. If they were the ongoing events in Edo State will play out differently. I must highlight this with precision.

It is obvious that Atiku has been overbearing in PDP. He has activated political groups, he has dispatched PDP governors to engage and bring success to Edo. So we can say Atiku is the helmsman in PDP. Well, in comparison, Atiku has not given to PDP half of what Ibo has committed in money, time, sacrifice. Atiku has not shown interest in 2023 race and he has not endorsed the Ibo aspiration for the position....in fact he has been silent on the matter. So why is Atiku so passionate about Edo win for PDP? Because it adds credit to his sagacity and reinforces belief in his capacity as party leader....a father! If Ibo people are sincere about 2023 presidency, Edo should be their battle...a testing ground. An Iboman should be the one directing affairs of what must happen to get victory for Obaseki. The more PDP wins in SS, SE, the better the chance of an Iboman winning 2023, therefore Ibo has a far more burden of success to win it for PDP than Atiku does. Atiku has defected between parties so many times there is no assurance he will not again defect if he sees better opportunity elsewhere.

Atiku, a Fulani, is at the helm of a party largely cemented with commitments in East, and eyeing forward to a nomination that rightly belongs in South and to the Ibos, meanwhile in APC, Tinubu is also at the helm of affairs. Where is Ibo helmsman, and what party is he leading? We can't find him!

So tell me how an Iboman is going to be candidate for PDP or APC in 2023 when Atiku is already showing moves for PDP in Edo and Tinubu is receiving visiting APC caretaker committees freshly appointed by the president. Where is Iboman?
From your writing the Igbo political elite never invest in any political project on a national scale. They wait to claim the trophy. Once the soup is done they will come forward with their soup bowl. They are waiting for the tickets to be shipped to them.
PoliticsTinubu, Godfatherism And Party Supremacy by Bulleye(op): 7:43pm On Jul 04, 2020
Tinubu has been on Nigeria's political scene since 1999, the year of Nigeria's return to democracy. He is the poster boy of the progressives in Nigeria. He has been playing the the role of a stabilizer and unifying force. Some call him a godfather while others see him as obstacle. However I see him as a shape of what to come: party supremacy.

Most of the the governors that are clamouring for the control of their state party machinery are budding godfathers. They want to call the shots and be loose. They do not want to submit themselves to the party authority. They have succeeded in subduing their various Houses of Assembly and therefore seeking absolute power. And looking at all the states in the be federation, the governors are baby dictators with no check and balance. They are not accountable to anybody. Not even the electorate can call them to order. Consequently they get away with impunity and never deliver on their electoral promises. Impeachment is nothing to them since the Houses of Assembly are under their feet.

An aspiring governorship candidate also has to break the central bank to be able to contest. And with all the spending victory is not certain because all the contenders are equally throwing around money. A lot of unpredictability is therefore in the race to become a governor in Nigeria. In the end it is the electorates that lose.

Asking Tinubu to leave the political scene without studying the secret behind his political success is like throwing away the baby with the bathwater. The gospel of party supremacy being preached by Tinubu should be looked into. It helps in checking party hijacking by moneybags and enhances party cohesion. It also checks unbridled political ambition of individuals.

Ambode bowed to party supremacy and there was peace and harmony. However Obaseki is aiming to become a Godfather too and Edo is in crisis. We can ignore Tinubu but his message ought to be looked into. It is dangerous to have baby dictators all over the federation.

Party supremacy should be carefully studied, improved upon and introduced into our political life. With time it will be refined and work for us. All countries in the world are works in progress.

It was a personal agreement, between Atiku and Nnamdi. If PDP won, he'd make way for a referendum. That's the only reason why Nnamdi would EVER instruct his people to vote in an election. Nnamdi HATES Nigeria, and wants nothing more to see his people out of the union. He has no desires or plans of dominating a Nigeria. In his eyes, the country is corrupt, dysfunctional and backwards, and he wants to see a prosperous Africa, which he feels, can only be achieved, if his people have their own country where they can thrive, industralise, then invest all across Africa.
Personal agreement in a matter of life and death? No agreement paper? No signatories to the agreement? Should a party default how will they be held to account? Fulani - Igbo political alliance is a personal agreement? Kindly present another story. This narrative is incredible.

On one hand Ndigbo are being led by Ipob under the leadership of the their so-called supreme leader, Nnamdi Kanu. According to them, Nnamdi Kanu derives his authority from God and most of his pronouncements are therefore final and cannot be challenged. To demonstrate how powerful Nnamdi Kanu is, he recently issued out an order that the president general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Nnia Nwodo , should be stoned to death anywhere he was seen. His crime was associating with the Hausa/Fulani.

Some few days later, after much pleading and appeal, Nnamdi Kanu suspended the stoning for three months. The three-month grace is for Nnia Nwodo to stop being a saboteur of the Biafra struggle. We are yet to hear from Nwodo himself. However many Ndigbo are already praising Nnamdi Kanu for his listening ear and showing mercy to Nwodo. They are advising him on how to better run Ipob and how they want its success. The passionate Biafrans have nothing to do with Nigeria and Nigerians and cannot wait to see Nigeria disintegrate. Atiku/Obi presidential campaign on PDP platform however tested Ipob resolve when Nnamdi Kanu commanded his base to vote for PDP. How Nnamdi Kanu would have achieved his Biafra this way is best known to him. Nnamdi Kanu has exposed his hypocrisy and fraud by this singular act. It means Nnamdi Kanu may not be working for Biafra after all: his agenda is to position Ndigbo as a hegemonic power in the nation seat of power.

Having known that Ipob is actually working for Ndigbo to clinch power at the centre, the Igbo project of taking over the presidency should now be seeing as a strategy being executed from many fronts. The fact is Ndigbo are after the presidency and every other things are a distraction.

All said and done it is crystal clear Ndigbo want the presidency and Ipob is just a blackmailing tool. All hands are on deck for Ndigbo to see one of their own in Aso Rock. That is the greater Igbo agenda.

I understand that provisions might not be available to prevent hunger, but if the Babangida, Sonekan and Abacha's regime had continued the war against Indiscipline, don't you think the streets will be void of hawking, child labour e.t.c by now?

The laws back then were strict —e.g the death sentence on some boys who were caught with hard drugs....
But don't you think the society of today would have been saner than we have now?
In 2020, we still have children hawking, just as it is usually portrayed in foreign movies. Showing how backward Africa is.
Why do we find it difficult to adapt to change?

See the way we celebrate fraud. Fraud is now an ambition. See Hushpuppi, woodberry, Nairamarley. Take notice of the public uproar whenever the government tries to apprehend any of them. It's because they are seeing as role models, since fraud has been integrated in our system.

Can you say the same when about 500 public officers were jailed between 1983 and 85?
There are street hawkers in New York. Buhari approach is always high - handedness and sentiments tainted. He is biased and not patriotic.
PoliticsBuhari: The Man Who Failed Twice by Bulleye(op): 11:19pm On Jul 02, 2020
On Tuesday, 27th August 1985, the military government of Buhari was overthrown by Babangida - led junta. Buharism and corruption were the two main reasons for the coup.

I remember the late chief MKO Abiola complaint about the retroactive decree enacted by the Buhari junta. Abiola was the publisher of National Concord, and his imported newsprint was either on the high Sea or at the port when the decree was made. It was about import duty. Abiola argued that he had processed his papers before the decree was made and so should not be affected by the decree. Buhari junta insisted on implementing the retroactive decree. That was the beginning of Abiola's feud with Buhari. Buhari harsh economic policy was being unleashed also on the rich.

The poor were not left out of Buharism. War Against Indiscipline task force was wrecking havock all over. I remember vividly because I was a street hawker then and Buhari made life unbearable for us. We were always laying curse on Buhari and his deputy, Idiagbon. We saw hell.

In a nutshell both the rich and the poor suffered under Buhari military government: locked shops and warehouses were broken into and the goods sold off; many traders commited suicide because of financial losses. It was confusion everywhere.

Buhari's corruption crusade became a facade when he allowed his ADC's father 53 cases of currency to be allowed into the country when Nigeria currency was being changed. It was then Nigerians began to see Buhari as fraudulent.

And it appears in 2020 the corruption Czar has not changed. And his choking economic policy, Buharism, of the old has been revived. While Nigerians are still not sure how to survive with the recent increase in pump price of petrol from N121 to N143, Buhari has the gut and affront to announce payment of stamp duty on house rent agreement, C of O, and others.
Of what benefits are all the taxation to the public?

Buhari, the man that failed twice. As it was in mid 1980s so it is in 2020.

The World Bank defines governance as: the manner in which power is exercised in the management of a country's economic and social resources for development

Politics is the set of activities that are associated with making decisions in groups, or other forms of power relations between individuals, such as the distribution of resources or status.

A ward councilor that can not detail his achievements and performance for all to see will be aspiring to be a local government chairperson; a local chairperson that only collected federal allocation and shared it out without accountability will be seeing scheming to be governor; a governor that cannot turn the fortune of their state around for the better is always desperate for a second term; and the president has always been a failure. Nothing good comes out of Nigeria's political offices. It is so bad that an average Nigerian voter always demands that he should be "settled" before voting because they believe the candidate they are voting for has nothing to offer and so should deliver upfront before getting into office.

As result of more of politics than governance, Nigeria has been retrogressing and in a mess; there are no roads; hospitals are slaughter houses; schools are a place to keep the children away from home; no drainage and flooding takes over everywhere.

Nobody can query their elected officials. We all accept we are fatally doomed and nothing can be done. Nigeria can never work, so we all chorus. Nobody is held responsible for all the woes befalling the country. Those that can escape run abroad and the ones remaining accept their condition as designed by fate. Others turn to crime. And nobody is ready to rebuild Nigeria.

It is all politics without governance all over and the citizens are helpless. Nigeria is like a prostitute that all men sleep with but none want to marry her. Nigeria is a case study of how not to govern a country. We must act fast before we become outcasts on the world stage.

. "Igbo Christians should stop attending Yoruba Churches".

The above-mentioned statements are currently on the lips of every Igbo. If Ndigbo can publicly display this toward Yoruba, who knows their plot in secret. And while all this is happening no Igbo calls them to order. It is the glorification of the conquest of Yoruba land by Ndigbo.

They do not care about mutual respect neither do they bother about the damage they are doing to Yoruba - Igbo relationship. They gloat over it.

However little do they know that Yoruba are paying attention and now Yoruba nationalism is on the rise. And very soon Ndigbo will start playing the victim card.

Ndigbo have a lot of job to do in controlling Ipob because Ipob is seeing as Igbo.

No ethnic nationality will fold their arms while another ethnic group is using derogatory language on them.

Nigeria is a federation and ethnic nationalities homelands recognition is the foundation for the union. Ndigbo must bear this in mind always. Biafra is dear to them so also is Oduduwa precious to Yoruba; they are the owners of Biafra so also are Yoruba the owners of Oduduwa.
PoliticsDare Sunday Awoniyi And Okun Yoruba Identity Crisis by Bulleye(op): 6:35pm On Jul 01, 2020
Dare Sunday Awoniyi is one of the children of the late Sunday Bolorunduro Awoniyi, Aro of Mopa, Kogi state. The late Awoniyi lived all his life defending Northern hegemonic oligarchy interest. He never identified with the main stream Yoruba in the west. His political camp was pitched with the northern power base. He openly declared his political leaning and he never wavered in his defense of the northern political establishment. He lived and died for the North.

However in 1999, when political reconfiguration of the country was being done, the late Awoniyi had a head - on collision with another defender of the Northern oligarchy, Aremu Olusegun Obasanjo. The north was reading the nation political radar better than the late Awoniyi. Awoniyi could not adjust to the new political beat fast enough and he was sacrificed by the oligarchy.

Awoniyi kind of political permutation was still rooted in Nigeria of the 1960's. He could not decipher fast that the political climate had changed. Awoniyi was a dinosaur that the northern oligarchy wanted in the museum of politics because the oligarchy needed Obasanjo more than he needed them. Obasanjo was needed to give Nigeria a semblance of unity and cohesion. Awoniyi had been used and was sacrificed by the oligarchy.

Obasanjo was used for the job. The occasion was the election of the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Power, PDP, the largest and the most powerful political party in Nigeria then. And the year was 1999. The venue was the eagles square in Abuja. The man that was put in the ring with him was Barnabas Andyar Gemade, another member of the oligarchy. In the full glare of the camera the ballots were counted and Awoniyi lost to Gemade. The rest as they say is history.

Before the convention that threw up Gemade as the chairman of the party, PDP, something interesting happened between Awoniyi and Obasanjo and it had to do with the Yoruba ethnic identity crisis of so-called northern Yoruba. Obasanjo called Awoniyi and told him he could not become the party chairman since a Yoruba man was already the President. However Awoniyi disagreed with him and told Obasanjo that the presidency was zoned to the south west while the party chairmanship was zoned to the north central. And, according to Awoniyi, being from Kogi state made him belong to north central and as a result eligible to contest. Obasanjo, as humorous as ever asked Awoniyi: which Hausa person bears Sunday Bolorunduro Awoniyi?

I hope Dare Sunday Awoniyi will resolve his Yoruba ethnic identity crisis earlier. Living all his life in Kaduna does not make him Hausa. And I ask like Aremu Obasanjo: Is there any Hausa man answering Dare Sunday Awoniyi?
