attackgat: It was black Sunday in Nkaleha, Ishielu LGA, as armed herdsmen launched a deadly attack on the community. Sunday worshippers were not spared. The Lords Chosen Church, Nkaleha, was attacked and six members of the Church, including their Pastor were brutally murdered. Over 30 people are believed to have been killed so far and several houses destroyed Three years living in the gambia, I have never heard or read on any platform of a murder case . You will hardly ever hear about killings in Chad , Cameroon , Benin republic, Niger , togo and mali. All these countries I mentioned also have high population of Fulani people.. why are they more violent in Nigeria for God fucking sake ? |

Will it take care of my rent and feeding till I get work Getting a job that will pay you the way you want is scarce here, teaching jobs are readily available tho . They pay teachers better in the Gambia compared to Nigeria.. then again most companies do internship here with almost 100% assurance u will be retained , think about a business just in case u get here and u are unable to get a job . |

g17prinz: I have never been the enthusiastic type when it comes to Japa, but the realities on ground in the country leaves one with little or no choice to look elsewhere for greener pastures. I have about 7m worth of landed properties, and I want to do away with it and relocate before this country leaves me with nothing at all. I graduated with a 2:1 from a federal university.
Which country affords a better opportunity for someone looking for an MSc, putting all circumstances into perspective? Three years ago i moved out of Nigeria to the Gambia with way less than 7m .. after buying an air ticket to Banjul I was left with roughly 1.3m in 2022 .. I did my survey got my residency permit after three months and started a car wash on a busy road . Daily I get about 3500 to 4000 dalasi as raw profit if the day too bad i go fi see like 2000, my car wash is not standard ooo but God showed me mercy . If your money aint enough to get you to Europe bro look for an African country with a stable growing economy.. Life outside Nigeria sweet ooooo |

Nairaland General › Re: What Did You Learn In 2024? by Bullman(m): 4:40pm On Dec 31, 2024 |
Dpharmacist: As 2024 draws to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the lessons this year has brought into my life. From personal achievements to professional growth, this year has been a profound journey of self-discovery, challenges, and triumphs.
Here are some of the key lessons I learned in 2024, and I hope they resonate with you as well.
1. Consistency is Key to Growth
This year, I embraced consistency as a powerful tool for achieving my goals. Whether it was through my professional work as a health professional , my participation in the ALX Foundations course, or my ventures into writing books on diverse topics, I realized that showing up every day—no matter how small the effort—leads to significant progress over time.
2. Self-Investment Yields the Best Returns
I invested in myself by acquiring new skills like study design, statistical analysis using Python and R, and even some aspect web development using HTML and CSD through platforms like Chisquares. These skills not only enhanced my professional competence but also opened new doors of opportunity. The lesson here? The more you invest in yourself, the more valuable you become.
3. The Power of Collaboration
Being part of teams and communities, whether it was my subgroup in the ALX program or collaborating on various projects and outreaches, taught me the value of working with others. The diverse perspectives, feedback, and support I received from my peers proved that collaboration often leads to better outcomes than going it alone.
4. Adaptability is a Superpower
2024 wasn’t without its challenges. From competitive environment to navigating personal projects, I learned to adapt to changing circumstances. Challenges taught me to stay flexible, focus on solutions, and keep pushing forward.
5. Every Day Brings a New Lesson
Through my journey in 2024, I noticed that each day has its own lesson. I embraced the idea that each day offers something new to learn. From wealth creation to health and philosophy, life’s daily struggles and triumphs are filled with lessons if we choose to see them.
6. Purpose Drives Success
Whether it was contributing to the fight against climate change (my Grand Challenge) or writing books( such as Resolutions Recharged and Effective Followership) to educate and inspire others, I learned that aligning with a higher purpose fuels motivation and leads to meaningful achievements. Purpose gives life direction and makes the hard work worthwhile.
7. Time is Your Most Valuable Resource
One of the most significant lessons I learned is the importance of time management. Balancing work, learning, writing, and personal development taught me to prioritize effectively and make every moment count. Time management is about Self management. When lack management you will never go far.
8. Never Stop Learning
In our fast paced world filled with a lot of distractions I have developed the art of learning very fast and still effective at retaining what you ready. It reaffirmed the importance of lifelong learning. In a world that changes rapidly, staying curious and willing to learn rapidly is crucial for success.
9. Building Systems for Long-Term Success
Through my automated data vending business, I understood the importance of creating systems that work for you. Automating processes not only saves time but also ensures consistency and efficiency.
10. Gratitude is the Greatest Attitude
Lastly, I’ve learned to be grateful—for the challenges that shaped me, the opportunities that came my way, and the people who supported me through it all. Gratitude helps maintain perspective and keeps you grounded even when the road gets tough.
I will leave you with this quote :
No matter your altitude always have the platitude to give gratitude, for that is the right attitude – Dpharmacist 2024
Final Thoughts
2024 was a year of growth, resilience, and purpose. I faced challenges, but I also embraced opportunities and learned invaluable lessons. As I step into 2025, I’m more prepared, more focused, and more determined to make an even greater impact.
#Reflections2024 #LessonsLearned #GrowthAndPurpose
What did you learn from 2024? Let’s share and grow together! Realized that no matter how prayerful and hardworking you are , you can’t use prayers to manipulate God to do your bidding, if he doesn’t want to help you ‘ no amount of fasting can change his mind. then again you don’t need to be righteous to find favors and blessings from God.. |

Romance › Re: Dating A Guy Who Is Just NOT Funny by Bullman(m): 3:12pm On Dec 30, 2024 |
SweetBuns: Good day nairalanders. Merry Xmas and a happy new year in advance.
I'll try to make this short and sweet. So I met this guy at my favorite foodspot not too long ago. He was tall, dark, handsome and jacked.... Basically the type of guy I like so I was obviously attracted to him.
He then approached and talked to me. Whilst we were at it, I remember him cracking some very bad jokes (not bad in like an offensive way, but a bit too dry), but for the sake of being polite I went along with it.
We exchanged contacts and met up for a first date not too long after. And to keep things short, he wasn't funny whenever he tried. At all. He did look a bit nervous, but It was still so bad to the extent that I felt uncomfortable watching him try and even guilty if I failed to laugh.
He's also very arkward when it comes to intimacy, the first kiss was really, really arkward and I could tell he was trying his best but......
He also has this habit of sending me some really unfunny memes
Besides that, he is truly loving, warm and sweet. We have a whole lot in common between us and I'm sure I'm attracted to him
Initially I thought it was something related to his initial nervousness and would resolve on its own with time, but things are still the same
I'm a really funny person and Ive realized that I bond best with the people I laugh and play around with.
Is this going to get better with time, or is this just who he is? Have you ever seen a tall comedian ?? |

Romance › Re: It is better to marry for money than to marry a man who has nothing to offer. by Bullman(m): 3:57pm On Oct 29, 2024 |
Merry100: Don't just marry because it is the societal norm. There are irresponsible men out there; if you marry one of them, you will regret getting married. Whether it's 50% or 100%, choose a man who is ready to shoulder responsibilities.
If you would like to start from scratch with a man and work together to elevate your lives, make sure he is a true team player. There is no teamwork when you are married to a lazy and pompous man.
Your partner doesn't have to be wealthy, but he should be someone with visible potential or a clear vision, not a lazy man.
It is okay to marry a guy if you see signs that he is likely to be a family man. Family men are responsible and disciplined, making them unlikely to be lazy. Even if they don't have much, they work hard to provide for their families. What ever you do , make sure you all take your fight against poverty more seriously. 90 % of Men genuinely marry for love. 90% of women genuinely marry for material gain and comfort . They were naturally wired that way. |

Trendtips: No na this is too extreme at N350 he can afford a 700k annual if he saves N65,000 towards it every month We don't know if he's married or single with alot of responsibilities. Truth is 350 k currently in nigeria is chicken change if he's living in the west east or south . But in the north that 350k will go a very long way. May God not allow us to be working just to feed landlords. Life is hard |

Dainy1: This country is becoming something else. With the current high house rent increase and bills, we pray we survive it.
I was just thinking out loud. For someone earning 100k salary monthly, staying in 650k-800k house, what's your strategy towards your house rent payment? Knowing that you still have more bills to cater for monthly.
How do you save? What percentage do you save in a month?
With the little Salary been paid, Salary earners, how do you plan towards your current house rent payment?
A colleague was joking telling us, he's considering relocating to the village to start farming and staying in a free family apartment........hmmmmm Bros even if you earn 350k monthly , you have no business staying in a crib worth 650k to 800k for Tinubu regime. |
