Family › Re: Can I Survive In Akwa Ibom With 1M Account Balance At 22? by Bullman(m): 12:24pm On Jun 07, 2023 |
yolada: Nairalanders please help advice me, this is a matter of life and death I don't want to waste this money Let me just go straight to the point
So I have exactly 1 million naira in my bank account and I'll be 22 by 27th of this month (this is not a flex on anybody please) I don't currently have a job, I live in Lagos and with my parents. But a lot of things happening here and I feel like if I don't leave soon, I might just die.
I plan to move to Akwa Ibom state to go and start a new life on my own even though I haven't been there before. I have never smoked a cigarette in my life, I don't smoke. I'm still a virgin, never had sex in my entire life,I don't womanise, I have Zero friends.
So my plan is to move to the state, secure a cheap accommodation like a single room self contain that should not cost anything more than 100-120k a year. After I secure accommodation, I plan on searching for a job that can at least pay the bills. And probably set up a POS business with some of the money that someone else can be running for me. I don't eat too much and I know how to cook.
Now my question is this. Will I be able to survive for some time in the state with that amount of money pending till I get a job? And how much is the average rent for a single room self contain in akwa Ibom?
nlfpmod Myndd44 farano RoyalRoy Disguy justwise lalasticlala - Please for the love of God See guy to be honest, POS business is good as long as you will run the business yourself , if you employ anyone especially in a new city where you know no one , dem go run you street. For the bike business , it will end up frustrating you. It is really hard to do business with people you dont know. You stated earlier you have never been to akwa ibom. Keke napep business is hot cake in uyo too.. if u fit ride am yourself. Dont be in a rush to make your decisions, relax and take your time. |

Smithkline200: Please i wanna buy a 1 years used Nissan Sentra 2013.
Can i go ahead? From which part of the country? If it's from northern Nigeria, or north central, you can go ahead . The car will serve u cos most roads up north are really good , if it's down south then you may have to reconsider , nissan sentra wasn't built to last but built for comfort. Above all maintenance is really cheap , if the car is well maintained by the owner go for it too. Just make sure u change your oil after 7 weeks at most . |

Nice2023: Igbo men every where...no wonder they are prosperous..
U go to Mozambique they are into spare parts,u go to Congo democratic republic, they are big importers of tyres and machines in that country u just name it. If you go to Kinshasa or Brazzaville , those igbo men there are really living large. You are right about the car tyres.. congo has the highest reserve of rubber trees. As worst as C.A.R is .. There are ibo men in Bangui trading in diamonds and other precious stones.. |

skylane: between Gambia ivory coast Togo and benin which is easier to start a life If you have no problem with language barrier , I will suggest ivory coast.. That country is just too beautiful , well organized, constant electricity , good security, closer to Nigeria and expensive too. Gambia on the other hand .. Low population English is the official language. The gambian dalasi has more value than naira. Starting life in the Gambia was easier for me tho.. I have no regret ever since I relocated to banjul. The Gambia is just too far from Nigeria . Flight is well over 300k now for a one way, Road trip is about 8days and will cost u well up to 150k too. |

Currently I am in the gambia, Food is cheap Accomodation is a but high just recently. Electricity is 23 to 24hrs daily . Security is very good. Business gets better everyday. Gambia is ecowas, means visa free for Nigerians. If relocating to angola seem near impossible Why dont u try west African countries? |

I stayed in Miramar , not so far from talatona. I'm in the Gambia now, I only went to angola to chill. Mehn I never sabi idoma finish na Portuguese I wan begin learn? Portuguese is not so straight forward to learn that's why I left . Life in Angola is unnecessarily expensive. But there is no city in west africa that is more beautiful than Luanda. Not even abuja, accra or Abidjan. |

I went to chill bro. In angola you can't set up a business without registering your business. Most common hustle I saw there , were more of spare parts, automobiles, building materials, and super markets , Most Nigerians in Luanda are majorly Ibos. And most times they are ready to help you, but then again be careful.. Angola is really expensive mate.. |
Travel › Re: Let’s Talk About Angola by Bullman(m): 7:34pm On Mar 03, 2023 |
I have lived in Luanda for bout three months in 2019. Angola is a very nice place if you can speak Portuguese. Very few people understand little English. Most Nigerians live in the capital Luanda, Luanda looks exactly like Lisbon the capital of Portugal really beautiful but bloody expensive. Angola economy is massive .. they have alot of white Portuguese and mulatto people living there .. angola girls are really pretty.. your only challenge will be the language , Portuguese is difficult it is not easy to read or speak like Spanish. Electricity is almost 24hrs daily Above all the country is really safe and less populated. |

Reinamaria: I doubt there's such thing as substandard coke. Unless theirs have extra caffeine in it, which will not be good. If you taste cocacola from America or europe , and taste the made in Nigeria version , bro the difference is very clear In Gambia 33 cl is 45 dalasi, that's about 450 in naira. |

fyncutz01: Thanks, but I will like to know about house rent around city centers n outside city centers (Selfcon precisely) is it paid monthly or yearly? N how save is Gambia in terms of security compared to 9ja. Self con a single room , kitchen n toilet in city center goes for 3500 to 4500 dalasi monthly Outside city centers 1500 to 2500 dalasi. Rent payments depends on your agreement with the landlord, normally you pay nothing less than six months first, after six months u can start paying three months rent or monthly it all depends on the owner of the house , Security is really great, Gambia is the most peaceful country in the whole of western Africa. |
