If you are Lagos go to your LGA secretarial and report it. They have a special office that deals with this sort of case. They hate landlords there and will deal with legally.

Determine what category of tenant you fall into: monthly, quarterly, etc.

Following the law, write a formal letter to your landlord and inform him of your rights within the law in terms of the length of notice period. Inform your landlord that you will have no other option than to inform the Police if he continues to harass you.

On the other hand, if your Landlord is currently acting within the terms of the Lagos State tenancy law, then you will have to park out. It is your duty to understand the laws of where you live. If you don't move out, your landlord is within his rights to take you to court. But be sure he has issued you the Notice To Quit as prescribed by law and in the correct format.

Note that your Landlord cannot evict you by himself. The magistrate court will have to give that order after the Landlord has shown that he or she has complied with the two types of quit and repossession notices he ought to have issued you.

If he continues with the "graga", report him at your local Police precinct for not following the law and make sure you understand the sections and elements of the law he has not followed.
