Education / Re: Unilag Students Share The Present State Of Their #350k Hostel(pics, vid) by Burneracct: 8:04pm On Nov 09, 2023
People that stand on toilets seats are probably also complaining on this thread that's what baffles me. Toilet hygiene is in the gutters in public establishments
descarado:
This one looks good.
Nigerians don't know toilet hygiene
And school authority is not helping matters.
No regulatory authority that supervises and sanctions schools.

Lack of options. Places closer to school are going to be more expensive. Then again being living far from school is expensive. Timewise and moneywise.

Our Awo Hall in O.A.U says 'Hello'. cheesy cheesy

There's something about managing public infrastructure that Nigerians still can't get right. You'll see a beautiful building today, go back there and check it after 3 years and you'll feel like vomitting.

Besides, how a right-thinking human will pay 350K to live in such a deplorable and dilapidated building beats my imagination. Education without common sense is truly a waste of time.

Family / Wedding Costs by Burneracct: 5:46pm On Jan 15, 2022
Hello everyone. I intend to get married this year. I would like to have an idea of how much a simple wedding catering to 150 guests would cost. Note its in ogun state. I live in lagos. We would be travelling to her parents and intend to rent a hall.

Show who that you are responsible?

Your parents?
Or the woman you are eyeing?

Let me ask, you want to marry?

The woman. And yes I want to get married that's the intent behind my dating.

Looks like relationship is the only reason you want to rent an apartment.

What of your relocation plan which is the bigger goal?

Is it on hold? If not,

Why the distraction?

Are you just horn.y or what?

The relocation plan is still in progress. I'm trying to be settled before I leave the country. I think having my apartment would show that I'm responsible.

Of course not. But then I can't get married on my current salary. I try to support with payment of bills around the house too.

I must say I'm surprised at the comments I have received. I was thinking its silly to have stayed this long. The reason I stayed so far was because I've been saving up to relocate to a foreign country. Most of my friends have their apartments though. I just wanted to see if I was wrong for thinking differently.

I am a twenty eight year old man. I still live with my parents although I have a job that pays me just under a hundred thousand naira. I haven't had a relationship in a long while and I'm in the process of getting into a relationship but I feel like the fact that I stay with my parents would negatively affect my chances. I'm considering renting an apartment but then these things are quite expensive in lagos. My parents ahve been supportive thus far. Do you think it's a good idea to move out? What affordable housing options are available assuming I'm to move out?
