Bluntemperor: A Good Observations 👍. I ve said and written about the Need For Public Sector Inclusive Banking Industry, but this Govt and its chosen CBN Team, think Otherwise and their Logic has not been Convincing. CBN keep Interest Rates as high as 27% By Lending to Banks and the Banks in turn 🛞 Add their own 3-5% - as a Profit, So,who will now Come to Borrow From the Banks - at 33% ❓ Which Business Do you want to Run with Such a High Interest Rates? Those who are Patronizing the Banks In this High Interest Rates - are INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS (From Abroad or have Representatives Locally In Nigeria) NOT THE Public, Not The Small and Medium Scale Companies Nigerian Govt-and the CBN - Should Go To India - to learn how they Are Spreading Prosperity through the Banks to the Public 🥵 The same politicians & their friends own the banks, i.e Wale Edun former Finance Minister promoter of Stanbicibtc, or Femi Otedola now controller general of First Bank. |

ryloy: UPDATE: Peter Obi Paid Protesters N2,000 Each To Storm Court During 2023 Election Case
Abuja, Nigeria — Fresh evidence has surfaced showing that Peter Obi hired people and paid them N2,000 each to protest at the court during the hearing of the 2023 presidential election petition.
The revelation has sparked fresh questions about the methods used by the former Labour Party presidential candidate. Details and images now circulating online show payments made to individuals who joined the demonstration outside the court premises.
According to reports monitored by Podium Reporters, the protests happened while the Presidential Election Petition Court was hearing matters connected to the 2023 election results. Supporters of different candidates gathered at different times, but the new claims specifically link Obi's camp to organising and funding one of the groups.
Many Nigerians have expressed disappointment over the development. Critics say that while Obi often presents himself as a man of high integrity, this information paints a different picture.
The report comes as Obi remains active in opposition politics. He recently left the African Democratic Congress for the Nigeria Democratic Congress as part of ongoing political realignments ahead of future elections.
Observers believe this latest revelation could hurt the clean image Obi has tried to build over the years as someone different from other politicians.

Radicalwarrior: More Tinubu Supporters Dump President, Brand Him “Content Creator” Amid Growing Discontent
A fresh wave of political tension has hit Nigeria’s ruling camp as several former loyalists of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu publicly withdrew their support, accusing the administration of focusing more on media appearances than delivering meaningful economic relief to Nigerians.
The development comes amid rising hardship, inflation, and increasing public frustration over the country’s economic situation. Some disgruntled supporters described the President as a “content creator,” claiming his government prioritizes speeches, public relations campaigns, and photo opportunities over practical governance.
Speaking during a political gathering in Abuja, one former campaign coordinator said:
“Nigerians are tired of promises and propaganda. People voted for leadership, not content creation. The suffering is becoming unbearable.”
Several youth groups and grassroots mobilizers who actively campaigned for Tinubu during the 2023 elections have also reportedly distanced themselves from the administration, citing unmet expectations and worsening living conditions.
Political analysts believe the growing criticism from within the President’s former support base could signal deeper cracks ahead of future elections. According to observers, the backlash reflects mounting anger over fuel subsidy removal, rising food prices, unemployment, and insecurity.
Despite the criticism, supporters of the administration insist President Tinubu remains committed to reforming the economy and stabilizing the country. Government allies argue that many of the policies currently being implemented require time before Nigerians begin to see positive results.
Meanwhile, opposition figures have seized on the growing dissatisfaction, urging Nigerians to demand accountability and stronger economic policies.
As political pressure mounts, many Nigerians are watching closely to see whether the administration can regain public confidence or face further defections from once-loyal supporters. What kind of nonsense news is this? |

phemray: Why did you say this? We have judiciary when it looks good and we don't have judiciary when it look not too ok. The fact is that to see a glass of water as half full is better than half empty.
Tinubu has really really helped Nigerians to understand how politics and law works for people to do the right things. Past presidents never care about making people to do the right things.
Now you know that for every move you make in Nigeria, you must check what the constitution says about it and if you can proceed or not.
Gradually and very soon we will begin to ask questions and hold public officials accountable legally, starting from our ward and local governments chairmen.
So, for Jonathan, We need to know the difference btw, Being voted for twice and taking oaths of office twice. And what does it mean for total service year as a president exceeding 10years.
This is a legal/ litigation government. Everyone we Learn. Checkwell: Na wa oooo. This country is finished. We no get judiciary. We have judges who are there for their stomach alone. People like this fellow above must be subject to their masters based on ignorance of the law. |

PBAT needs GEJ on the ballot more in 2027 and moreover GEJ has been cleared by the court to contest since so whoever Jideobi is, he’s only looking to cashout from whichever camp GEJ not contesting will favor more. Cleared by which court? Only The Supreme Court of Nigeria can declare Jonathan eligible, which he knows they won’t, & wouldn’t even waste his time seeking eligibility. |

fergie001: He is eligible.....the law is not retroactive. What is retroactive, what is the law today? If u have served even 1 day of your predecessor’s tenure, u have served 1 term. Does Ebele fall under that cloud? he finished Yaradua’s t1st term in office, he has done his 2 terms under Nigerian law today. The law was amended specifically because of him in 2017, this question of law was what destroyed the Pdp in 2013/2014. |
