Let's look at the lowest tariff in USA, which is 9.85 cents in Nebraska, that's 123 naira per kwh. It doesn't make sense for Nigerians to pay 123 naira per kwh or any amount higher than that.

By the way, the bolded is an exaggeration. Nigeria exports agricultural commodities and some minerals. Nigeria also receives USD for services, movies and creative activities. It exports gas and yes even electricity. These figures may not be as significant as crude oil but to say it does not export anything is an exaggeration.

What agricultural produce do we export? Do you even realize it's cheaper to buy rice from neighbouring cotonou?
