Houseontherock1:I understand your angle to this. While the cost of petrol is largely responses for the cost of food due to to costly transportation, there's been a very big decline in our farming output. Alot of people don't farm like they used to and their few that do only do it for their personal consumption. |
condensedmilk:where is the produce to transport in the first place? While we sit idly and do nothing, the price of food will keep going up. |
Una must get sense by force. An overpopulated country that produces nothing! Everyone's sitting idly at home waiting for the prices of foods to crash instead of going to their farms. A few months from now the rains will be gone the hardship we are facing will get worse . |
Everyone's crying to the government to end the hardship and hunger that the country and it's citizens are facing. It's rainy season. Instead of people to go out and farm. Till their soils, plant their maize, beans, rice, yam, potatoes etc. They are out protesting. A country of almost 300million people protesting hunger on the streets instead of going to their farms. Buhari was right after all when he said Nigerians are lazy after all |
nedu666:I asked you a really simple question. Who are these Northern groups and what do then stand for? What do they represent? You're not very smart sorry to say. |
COFFINSELLER:It's just 8am. Stop peddling fake news. I wish this social media bill had been passed. People like you will be languishing is jail. |
Sheuns:What northern groups if i may ask? What's their interest and what do they represent? It is in the best interest of everyone that this thing is contained right now because the longer it takes, the harder it'll be to contain. |
Goodvibes007:Declaring a curfew is only going to make things worse. The people that instigated this, the people inciting this who are in their far away region exonerated from all these really should have a rethink. The protesters masquerading as criminals will keep doing what they know how to do best which is too loot, constitute nuisance and destroy and when there's nothing left to loot or destroy. They'll move to other regions. E go reach everybody I'm very certain of this. Except of course if there's a way this can be averted and contained. What affects one Nigerian affects all. That's how we are wired. |
DMerciful:There are almost 500 different ethnic groups in Nigeria. I don't remember mentioning any tribe. Nobody cares whether you join the protest or not. What you should understand is, it gets around. What gets around will go around. What affects one Nigerian affects all. |
Zaheertyler:The point I'm trying to make is this protest is going to only make things 10x worse than it already is. People are going to die because you don't expect armed men to fold their arms and watch while they get lynched, stoned or even killed. Tinubu and every other government may have failed us but Nigeria in itself has failed. We live in diverse complex country that produces and generates nothing. The meagre little resources is not enough to cater for its citizens and it's get misappropriated or stolen all the time. It's so bad they're now borrowing just so they can steal and if we are to say it as it is. This country has long failed. It didn't just start today. My advice for everyone out there is to have a thorough rethink before they take any action. Life's hard enough as it is |
Things are bad and everyone knows things are bad. There was a need for this protest to hold but not in the manner at which it is going on currently. It's really very glaring to all and sunder the North is the only one losing more in this crisis. The ones who instigated this protest, the people pulling the strings have decided to go numb. Even a not very smart person would have seen this from the onset. This is not a protest I reiterate; THIS IS NOT A PROTEST It was barely even 8am in the morning yet and the said protesters(criminals) are already on a destruction spree. Looting and vandalizing public properties and attacking security personnels is not the way to go. Why block major roads thereby inconveniencing other road users from going about their daily lives? Same freedom you were given to protest is the same freedom you decided to deprive other road users. The police needs to act and they need to act fast. Any gathering of 20 people or more should be dispersed using the maximum force necessary. An example needs to be set because Nigerians are stubborn people. Security agencies must not fall these gimmicks of these gathering of criminals in the name of a protest. The goal was clear from the onset. Obstruct, Destroy and to Provoke our police and into retaliating. Take your protests to your Presidents, Your governors and all your elected representatives at all levels. |
Screwed up Corntree |
The same goes for birnin gwari local government area of Kaduna and many parts of Niger that has captured by these criminals marauding as bandits. |
Why are food items so expensive? Zamfara State (Farming is our pride) as the slogan implies account for a very large percent for farm produce in this country. Or at least it used to. Today, people are not allowed to go to their farms. Their forced to pay levies before they're allowed to farm and still pay even more when the produce is ready for harvest. The worst part of all these is, these are peasant farmers. People who have no desire, goals or motivation to do anything. They're just doing it to survive. |
Why is no one asking this question? See, I've come to understand one thing. Nigeria is a uselessly corrupt country and it is never going to get better. Someone's alleged to have embezzled funds to the tune of billions of naira and no one is batting an eyelid. They do it and they get away with it. That is why you have people like Bello Matawalle who have failed in all realms of governance still serving as minister. In zamfara today, borders have been set up and you can't get in or out of the state once it's 7pm in the evening. Yet, Matawalle is the minister of defense. Yet, it still doesn't stop the wanton and undending killings and abductions that are taking place in the state. Nigeria is a joke and this thing will continue to spread if it is not contained. Cc; just a concerned Nigerian. |

abdsamad:It's all about convenience for most people. Some prefer to wake up early to close early. Some prefer prefer getting up late not minding they'll get off late. I, for instance don't get to work until it's 11am, sometimes 12pm. It is relative. It all depends on the flexibility your jobs allows you . |
Who would it be? |
Tokskob2008:I don't get uo that early unless it's necessary😃. |
BigDawsNet:the first term that crosses everyone's mind when you mention 9-5 is slavery You barely have time to do other things except night times and you should be sleeping. |
Balablue64:The downside is you have to wake up early every day. You have to be up as early as at least 6am in order for you to be able to meet up. |
Which would you rather take?
|
joemag:this'll be hard. |
joemag:What about the girl's mother? |
FourQu:Not necessarily always the case. Unlike women from the South, there aren't a lot of working class women in thr core northern parts of the country. Hence they don't see the need to go to school. Most of them just stop and secondary school and get married any many of the ones the make it to to tertiary institution still end up being full time housewives . Only a few who really know what they want strive extra hard to reach their desired goals. |
Meet the girls parents. Make the girls what a big opportunity this is and how much they stand to benefit if she goes to broad. Who knows? He may not be hard to convince. |
DesChyko:Gumi Central market and ungwar sarki are two entirely different places. |
