OkayDaddy:Hogwash. What you're simply saying is they can perpetrate fraud and no one will hold them responsible because the people who are supposed to judge the matter are or weekends? It's just like saying police shouldn't work on weekends. Criminals are free too perpetrate their crimes because they know the police are on weekend? We really have a long way to go |
Buhdeuce:the store I bought the item is very closet to very container you're talking about. Na them them. I know what I'm saying. |
OkayDaddy:All three numbers are switched off. Welcome to Nigeria. Stupid country. |
koning:Lol. You just said it as it is. |
sukkot:Lol. I'm neither from the two tribes. |
ayokellany:I've been buying items from this particular store for so many years now. Matter of fact, I've recommended a lot of customers to them. |
emonis88:I'm not stupid. This is the exact reason I didn't put up the names of the people and the tribes involved in this because just like you said it'd just end in a tribal bashing. Something I want to avoid |
clinician2x:you wouldn't understand. We told the clients the item would arrive the following day and it ended up taking a week. |
Elliotwaveforec:Guy. Let's leave tribe aside. There are as much yorubas in computer village just as there are igbos. All of them are fraudsters. |
IamtheTruth1: |
PossibleG007:Are you stupid or high on something? This is a store I've been buying stuff from for over 10 years. Only reason this happened was because I wasn't present and they picked the item from another store. |
thrillionaire:We already did. |
OkayDaddy:I could do that. But like you said these things take time. The clients whom the item was intended for gave us a deadline that's already expired. |
sreamsense:Police ke? They called l bluff when I threatened to involve the police. They have their own police outpost in computer village. Na them them. They're all a bunch of criminals both the police and the sellers. This country is a fraud that should be burned to the ground with everything that's in it. |
KunleAkingbadeh:Exactly. And no one's doing anything about it. And when it deteriorates further and the government finally decides to intervene and flush out these bad people, they start playing the pity card and making it appear as though the govt is taking away their source of livelihood without providing an alternative. I just don't get how long this is supposed to continue. Over 60% of the items sold at computer village are either fake, used, refurbished or with defects. |
eteebanky:this is exactly my grouse with them. They're refusing to admit they sold me garbage. I'm trying to under how you buy a product and you find there are completely different serial No's on the indoor unit, outdoor unit, and the carton itself. When the so called supplier came he claimed the serial numbers were all supposed to be different. I started to wonder when a carton became an appliance to have it's own separate serial No different from item inside the carton. In all of these... I'd say my only disappointment is in the store owner. This is someone with who I've been doing business. I've recommended a lot of people to him many of which he doesn't even know. |
Kimiso:To top everything off. It shows on starlink website that that there's a 20% price slash on this item and the it'll last till november. Shipping it doesn't cost much and it takes less than two weeks to arrive. I just don't get the idea behind why people do the things that they do. If there 1000 people doing business in computer village, over 900 are criminals. |
yungkels:There was not. Can you imagine? They were trying to refer me to the person from whom they picked the item from. The whole thing is funny because the store owner whom I rever and respect so much. I expected him to do something about it, but it turns out they're all in it together. |
One last thing I learned more about this is very few people deserve pity. The fraudster of a salesperson with whom I we initiated this transaction kept pleading and begging me not escalate the matter because in her words. If the boss finds out, they'd lose their job. When we finally took the matter the store owner. The person didn't even hesitate to throw me under the bus. Fraudster was just in a hurry to absolve themselves and make it seem I didn't even know what I was buying or how it works. Nigerians are devilish people. |
Now, I could put contact and the pictures of the people involved in these. But it doesn't get any messier than it already is. I'm just saying you can be a legitimate business person and still do good. If you have to lie your way or cheat and deceive unsuspecting clients to stay in business, then you're not going to stay in business for long. |
On returning the item. Just I had predicted they would. They started to give me stupid craps about how I must have started the registration half way and my account is the one tied to the device and stuff. I got to understand something. Nigerians are mean. By mean I mean Nigerians are very mean people. I have travelled across about 34 of the 36 states in Nigeria and northerners are about the only place where you'd find people with a little bit of honesty. |
On unboxing the item. So many things didn't seem to add up. The serial No /PN No on the carton was different from the device in the carton itself. How's this even possible? I began to ask. Tried to register for the for time and it kept on giving thesame error message. An account was already assigned to this device. What in the world ? How's this even possible? We reached out to the sellers and all they could tell us was to contact starlink? Like how? For a device we got for almost N400k. We decided to return it because there's just no sense wasting such a huge amount on refurbished useless worth of crap. It turns out this fraudster of a said person and their colleague did not get this item from their store. The store is a pretty big store and we've bought items from them before. I recommended my friend get it from them because I was under the impression they were getting it from their store. |
So i had to get a couple of things at computer village Ikeja I'd need for a job I'm doing. I went to the market and after getting the things that I needed, I received a call from my friend who's in need of a STARLINK device. Who would have guessed? Coincidentally, that had it at the store. I confirmed the price and sent the details to my friend. He had a bit of trouble making the payment so I collected the contact of one of the sales rep in the store and told them I'd give them a call. Following day, I was on my way already out of Lagos, I was at the park when my friend called and said he was ready to initiate tge transaction. I told him I wasn't anywhere close to computer very but I have a contact that works there. Had a bit of trouble convincing him to go ahead and completing the transaction with them since he needed it the following day. After much convincing and he finally agreed, he made the payment amd the said sales person got a dispatch rider to take it to the park. Waited the following day for the item to arrive and we heard nothing. Then came the second, third, fourth, and even fifth day. Our patience was wearing out and we were already asking for a refund. The item finally arrived on eve of the sixth day. It was already getting dark and it was too late to get it to the clients location for installation.

NotProphet:it won't. Because where I come from. We don't support terrorists.🌚 |
Enemiesmasquera:Your parents will die a miserable death😄 |
Earthquakes:That's still under investigation. You can't even tell who's military and who's not. We have seen Fulani bandits on full military khaki. Anyone can get a Khaki |
stanbright:We don't have terrorists in the north so there's no need for a state of emergency declaration. But we do have terrorists operating in the South east and who knows, if the activities of UGM continues, the FG might have to consider it. |
Fizalis:Kaduna where I'm based houses the highest number of military outfits, barracks/units in the country. I see soldiers everyday and I know how they operate. They must have justifiable reason for attacking this place the way they did. All I'm saying is when you aid criminals it affects not only you buy people around you. What happens to you or your brother directly or indirectly affects you. You have no idea what some of these soldiers must have had to pass through for them to have been killed by some rag tag gunmen so their anger is very understandable. Besides, it would never have gotten to this if they hadn't attacked the security personnel in the first place. |
Funkyswagzz:You're clearly the wimp here. Like I stated earlier. I've nothing against you. I cannot have anything again you. Hey would I have to resent or hate you? Hating you is a waste of hate because you're just an average Simon ekpa disciple without a brain to think for himself. 😄 |
What would it cost you to go and buy what you need in person
