There are no backlogs. They know what they are doing.
They know what they are doing. Backlog and they are giving tourist visas. People that applied in january for tourist have started getting calls to return their passport for stamping. People that have submitted since July for study are still waiting. Is it not in September they asked them to start processing visas after the centralization at Pretoria?? No how no how people who applied September should have received a decision no matter how they want to verify their documents. The only people that can save us now is Foreign Affairs Ministry.

So no update regarding VFS e visa? Na wa oooo, one month and counting yet nothing, sticker visa too dey one side☹️. These people should just tell us they don’t want Nigerians in their country make we rest.
It’s only Nigerians they have this delay with and it is very sad. Those medical insurance people said it’s only Nigerian Nationals that haven’t resumed school for this new session that they don’t know why the embassy is making it too difficult for them to come. It’s very very sad. It’s not 100 percent their fault because if Foreign Affair of Nigeria dey work, we won’t have to go through this bad treatment. Imagine from September till now no one have been issued study visa from Abuja? This is a deliberate action. If you call them now, they will say backlog. Backlog from where exactly? They are having backlog but are still collecting nothing less than 120 applications in a day both VFS Lagos & Abuja.
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Bursttt: 8:02pm On Feb 06, 2023
So from what I’m hearing it seems it is only study visas that have been delayed. No one received response from the embassy from October till this day. No one was issued study visas. The better all of us come together and look for a solution the better for us.

Tried the number, it keeps saying “ you are not allowed to call this number “
Tried it again, it was ringing try using Airtel. It’s the second one you should call. The Tel number, try calling it from the web browser
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Bursttt:
The TEL phone is working, you can call the South Africa High Commission-Consulate Section and tell them your issue. They said they have very large backlog and it’s overwhelming. Check out the number on this page. It’s starts with 094

Hi Guys!

I’ll be traveling this Sunday for a business trip in South Africa. It’s been a while I was in SA so I still have my old Yellow Card (issued around 2017) and I have since renewed my passport but my yellow card carries my old passport number. I am seeing a lot of messages about a new yellow card with barcode. Please advise on if there would be any issues with me using the old yellow card especially when the passport number on the card is different from my new passport.
Is it verifiable? If they should put your details on the yellow card site by FMOH, will your details pop up ? If it’s won’t don’t apply with that yellow card, instead go to port health at MMIA and validate it.

Good day everyone here
Please I have a question is it compulsory for a student applying for study visa the sticker one meant to pay his/her tuition fee before submitting his/ her application at vfs office
Nope it’s not. What the High commission wants to see is a bank statement that have enough funds to cover all that. It’s just you medical insurance that you need to pay.

Update!!!!!
Please the confusion some of you created here was never necessary. I had to go through stress just to confirm the E-Visa from the site you claimed wake fraudulent.
Just to let you know that we were more that 10 passenger with the same pattern of visa and we have board and will fly in less than an hour from now.
Infact, Kenya airways transfer all passengers going to SA to south Africa airways. They lodged us at airport hotel ikeja while waiting for the check in time of south Africa airways which is 5:30pm. As am talking to you now we are about to fly to SA. I love this package because I didn't pay for anything and am not transiting via narobi as plan.
So both E visa are recognized as long as you can provide the email attached to the e visa either from vfs or DHA.
I hope you will be convinced now
Thanks for this information.

Please does it mean since October they haven’t issued any Study Visas to applicant (Either approved or Refused) if at all. Because I don’t understand what this delay is all about o. Since October!!!!! I have been seeing tourist sticker visas but you see study visas I haven’t seen just 1. This thing get as e be o. No matter the delay or issue at least one should have been released. Chai I never see or who knows anybody that applied either in Lagos or Abuja that have received a valid study visa sticker since October for 2023 session or is it deliberate because it is starting to look like. People have registrations to meet up with or what’s the essence of applying early ? Nawa

I used the DHA website for E-Visa last year so I've not used the VFS evisa website but from my basic search, I can confirm it's not fake. Few checks that confirmed the authenticity are

1. VFS has evisa platforms for multiple countries so it's not unique to South Africa
https://indonesiavoa.vfsevisa.id/
https://suriname.vfsevisa.com/suriname/online/home/index etc
https://southafrica.vfsevisa.com/

2. The SSL certificate of the website (which is authenticated by different web browsers shows they are generated by the same cert authority. (see screeenshots). Unfortunately, Nairaland only permits 4picture uploads.

However, if anyone still doubt it personally, please just avoid using it but let's not cause people to panic please.
Thank you for this, Justwise can you see? At this point. If you still don’t believe this and still say the site is fake, then do you. Do what your mind tells you to do or which one your mind tells you to choose. But don’t label anybody as a scammer. Over & out!

Oya drop the correct website since you already agreed there is an E visa through VFS. Honestly, I blame the moderators indulging all these silliness. A simple call, email to the right authority is enough to put this matter to rest.
Yes o, and the site must be functioning and it must open. Drop it mr authentic. In fact I want to use the original vfs e-visa site not DHA oooo, to apply please help by dropping it here
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Bursttt: 12:48pm On Feb 04, 2023
Justwise have you done your own findings to verify if that site is fake or not? Have you contact the VFS Global, you can’t just decided a website is fake because one person says it’s fake without doing your own findings. you sef you can Contact the VFS Global through phone call or email or walk in. Do your own research, findings and investigations Justwise. Then what ever you find out you can come relay it yourself here. That’s what I expect of you as the thread master.

Thank you for your input. Please what is your interest in this website in question? Why are you defending this website with all this writeup? Because I don't understand you guys.
He is simply trying to defend himself, after falsely accusing him. If someone should accuse you of the same thing you accused him of how would you feel ?? Put yourself in his shoes oga.

Do you have any evidence? I'm really interested to know that.

If you haven't received any email 3days after visa application that does not mean that you have been scammed.
Good Morning Justwise. This guy have to apologize to the people he accused for scam. That site was created by VFS Global in Nigeria. Please go and verify from the company yourself or call people or travel agents. People have been granted visa on that platform and they have been to SA multiple times without stress. His own might just be a technical problem which he was meant to report to VFS Directly but he chose to call innocent people scammers Imagine because you haven’t received any information regarding your visa so these people are scammers? Justwise please verify yourself. After your findings let me also know. Thank you

Hello guys, the official South Africa EVISA is https://ehome.dha.gov.za/epermit

The E-visa is issue directly from Pretoria, South Africa not VFS.

@ Seun please verify the site in question.

Thanks
@seun please verify from VFS Global Services in Nigeria if they allow people apply for E-visa for South Africa through them and the websites. That’s the should be the statement

I laff in swahili, this campaign that DHA eVisa portal had serious issues must stop! it is an attempt to promote a fraudulent website as alternative. All i read here is people waiting for over 6months without a response, some even paid without a receipt....who knows may be they use this fraudulent website being promoted here. If you care to know, all the people that i know applied in December 2022 via the DHA eVisa portal have all received their decision less than 4 weeks both long and short term stay o. Dey play
I have just submitted another application on DHA website just now....tell me what is the problem with the portal?
Guy rest! Shebi you said you won’t talk again ? Have you gone to VFS Office in Lekki & Abuja to ask? If not dont talk again.

You guys dont know shit!...thats why i dont comment here. How are you sure the VFS number you called is VFS and those responding to you are not part of the bigger plan? have visit VFS office to confirm? all of you keep saying call call call....it is a SCAM. the number is diverted!

Use your sense why would DHA have a website for eVISA and VFS will have another one? to the scammers above VISA IS BEING APPROVED EVERYDAY ON DHA E VISA WEBSITE. I wont comment again on this matter. 5 OF MY PEOPLE GOT THEIR VISA GRANTS ON DHA EVISA! YOU DONT NEEDS VFS FOR ANY SHIT! DO IT YOURSELF. BYE
I dare you to go to their office and ask. How can vfs official number be diverted and they won’t know. A multinational company? The official numbers on their own page? please do your findings before you tag people as scam. True true illiteracy na disease and you are trying to spread the disease on this group
TravelRe: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Bursttt: 2:46pm On Feb 01, 2023
Ask Travel agents for SA, Ask anybody you want to ask in VFS. Use Twitter, mention them ask them if they apply for E-visas through them for SA let’s see what they will say.

E VISA IS DONE ONLINE, just upload all your documents...100% ....you don't need VFS for EVISA...decision is made in PRETORIA
You yourself are the biggest scam because if you know the situation and the errors on E-DHA portal you won’t advise people to go there. I know people who used E-Vfs E visa from SA to travel and returned without stress, your stupid self is meant to confirm from VFS if they issue e-visas or not before you go and tag other people scams. Guys ask VFS Global if you are in doubt. Don’t let these welf99 trick you to go and apply on E-DHA. E-DHA once your date has passed they will refuse you visa.

Ask VFS Global first before you call people scam.

Reason for withdrawal ?

The wait is already so frustrating... This is the 8month since, I filed my application. Just tired of the system and now another excuse... Please, how can I withdraw my passport.
I’d advise you Write to the minister of DHA first via mail. China’s Visa that is the hardest to get on this earth and also have the highest application rate for visa will never delay it. You’d know you decision within 3-4days worse case

Jan - Aug 2022 long term visa applicants who are still waiting for their outcome - Note that SA load shedding has been seriously heightened lately so, know that DHA’s working hours would be severely affected.

Here’s a link on the power issue in SA: https://businesstech.co.za/news/energy/660929/load-shedding-pushed-to-stage-5-in-south-africa-heres-the-schedule/amp/

Side note for VFS evisa applicants: If the adjudication of VFS evisa is being done in Pretoria (not sure if it is), the load shedding issue will likely have a huge effect on the processing time. Let’s hope that it’s the embassy that’s handling the review.
In Abuja too they are experiencing load shedding ? Do you know the funniest thing, till today they are still collecting more and more applications, and they are telling them to write that they are aware the application will take longer than their imaginations. If you are overwhelmed with applications, you stop taking applications and work on the one you have and clear it. I feel this thing is planned and intentional for Nigerians. Other countries get theirs in Days, not even weeks.
