I have repeatedly said Atiku is not marketable. The biggest mistake PDP made was allowing him to buy his way to presidential aspirant status on their platform. Corrupt soul jam corrupt party and they are hoping that Nigerians would be foolish enough to bring them back after we removed them based on the same corruption.

PDP are officially idiats

The defections will be on a daily basis for the next 20 days or so.

Politics / Jubilation In APC As PDP Governorship Aspirant In Jigawa Defects To APC by Buterflyle0: 8:21pm On Jan 13, 2019
A governorship aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa state, Alhaji Baba Aliyu Santali, has reportedly joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) saying his decision followed the latter’s achievements across the country.

Daily Sun reports that Alhaji Baba Santali, a former commissioner for works and transport‎ for eight years under former Governor Sule Lamido, said his defection was deliberate.

He said he joined the APC at this time to avoid the likely suspicion by some people that his defection was for the purpose of seeking appointment.

“If I had wanted to join the train of those trooping into the APC for the sake of relevance, I would have done so long time ago.

“But I’m here to team-up with governor of the state to support the cause he had started,” he said disclosing that he had always supported President Muhammadu Buhari.

The report said the former commissioner defected with the executive and ward chairmen of the PDP in the home of the current PDP deputy national chairman, north, Ambassador Ibrahim Kazaure.

Legit.ng earlier reported that four former governorship aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger state defected to the All Progress Congress (APC) along with their supporters.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) report that the decampees were received by Adeniyi Adebayo, deputy national chairman, APC south, on behalf of the national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomonle at the launching of the state governorship campaign in Minna on Saturday, January 12.

Politics / Baro Communities Applaud PMB Over Completion Of Port by Buterflyle0: 2:41pm On Jan 13, 2019

The people of Baro communities in Agaie local government area of Niger State last week rolled out the drums to sing President Muhammadu Buhari’s praise over the completion of the inland port in Baro.

The host communities of inland port at Baro in Agaie local government area of Niger state, have poured encomiums on President Muhammadu Buhari for ensuring the completion of the all important port. The people who had cast doubt on the completion of the project because of the slow pace of work on it by the immediate past federal government, thanked Buhari for bringing their long time dreams to fruition.

The village Head of Baro, Alhaji Mohammed Ndanusa Salihu Kazoro, had in 2013 told LEADERSHIP Sunday that the engineers who were sent for the dredging did not do any serious work on the existing depth of the river as expected by the community. He said “there is no ship that can come to this place because the work is not good, you can see that everywhere within the depth of the river is filled with sand so where do you expect ship to come into the port? “Instead of them to carry out sand out of the course of the river and to widen the river for the ship to be able to land, up till now it has not been so and we don’t know how ship would be able to land with this poor work. “ However, in April 2016 when the governor of Niger state, Dr Abubakar Sani Bello visited the site of the Baro Port , he expressed concern over the level of work at the Baro inland port as inherited by the All Progressives Congress government in 2015, but expressed satisfaction then that the APC government was able to bring work at the port to appreciable level.

Notwithstanding, Governor Bello was concerned that going by the huge investment on the dredging of River Niger and the expectant returns, the federal government ought to have ensured the immediate take off of the Baro in-land port. He cautioned that further delay in operating the port maybe counter productive, adding that”I am impressed by the level of work done on this port.

I learnt the dredging of Baro to Lokoja has been completed and the construction work on the port is almost at 98 per cent completion. All we need to do now is to expedite action and put this critical and strategic in-land port to use. According to him “we cannot allow further delay in putting this facility into use. The huge investment and the expected returns in dredging River Niger and the construction of the port should be optimally harnessed in the face of the present economic realities”.

In order to fast track the full utilisation of the port, the governor said that administration has declared Baro town an urban settlement and has put in place a 10 kilometre radius developmental plan for the town. This he said was a deliberate policy to ensure effective take off of the in-land port. “This is a big project that will not only open up this region, it will provide massive job opportunities and business ventures for our people and meet our electioneering promise of job creation,” he stated.

The technical officer in charge of the port then , Mr. Ibrahim Shuaibu Vulegbo told the governor that the dredging of the waterway from Baro to Lokoja had been completed while the port only requires installation of the cranes and perimeter fencing. However, the Acting Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Danladi Ibrahim had last year declared that the Baro port, had been completed and was ready for operations. LEADERSHIP Sunday findings showed that the Baro port could create up to two million direct and indirect jobs. Little wonder, the news of the completion excited the people of the host communities who had praised President Muhammadu Buhari for the feat.

The president received accolades from host communities of Baro Port during a peaceful rally in appreciation of his administration’s completion of the inland port. The people who gathered in their thousands at Agaie, the headquarters of the host communities applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for actualising their long time dream for the completion of the project. They marched peacefully from market along the major streets to the Emirs palace where the Agaie Consultative Forum (ACF) in collaboration with Agaie Emirate council, also organised a talk show and presented their appreciation letter for onward delivery to the president. The Emir of Agaie, Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu received the letter for onward transmission to President Muhammadu Buhari. Papers on the ‘Importance of Baro Port as an Emerging Commercial City to the Development of our Community and the Nation in General’ was presented at the talk show by Prof Mustapha Zubairu and Engr Muhammadu Dagaci .

The guest speakers, Prof. Mustapha Zubairu and Engr. Muhammad Dagaci in their respective presentations applauded the federal government under President Muhammadu Buhari for giving Baro Port the desired attention. They, however, stressed the need for the provision of all necessary infrastructure needed to boost commercial activities in the area. Prof Zubairu said that Baro is historical and has a global project for development and needed the sensitisation of the host communities to warn them against unguided land speculation that was alleged to have commenced in Baro. The interim chairman of Agaie Consultative Forum, Hon. AbdulMalik B. Aliyu stated that the development of the River Niger into an inland waterway system with ports in Baro and Lokoja was strategic and critical to the socio economic development of the emirate, and the nation. The state governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello who was represented by the commissioner of Tertiary Education, Alhaji Mohammed Baba Adamu expressed support for the actualisation of Baro Port.

He added that the state ministry of Culture and Tourism has presented a memorandum to the council for the revival of all tourism sites in Baro, to maximise the potentials of the inland port and to also boost the cultural and tourism sub sector in the state. The Emir of Agaie, Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu stated “we are appreciative of the federal government and President Muhammadu Buhari for his efforts and commitment to the completion of Baro Port. That is why we gather here today. Our appreciation is to enable him to show more commitment to the project and I pray to God to grant him protection and guidance in governing the country to greater heights.” It was gathered that the port will soon be commissioned. The inhabitants of the host communities are eagerly looking forward to when this will happen. Those interviewed by LEADERSHIP Sunday were appreciative of the efforts of the federal government in ensuring the completion of the Baro inland port. They expressed optimism that the Baro port would boost commercial activities of not only the Agaie Emirate but the entire Nupe land and the state in general as the area will soon become the melting pot of economic activities.

Hormone-ravaged emotions you say. A lot of you think you have something upstairs but on close examination, you find an empty brain. Look, I'm neither a Buhari nor Atiku sympathiser. All I want is a thoroughly in-depth analysis based on rigorous research. Not mere speculative jargon.

Yes I repeat, hormone ravaged emotions. He cannot be more in depth than he has been.

Atiku does not have the followership buhari enjoys. Let that sink in!

There is no way Atiku can defeat Buhari. The only way that can happen is if buhari dies today and so does Osinbajo or if PDP were to deploy their hacking method which was part of their Dubai strategy if they had gotten PMB to sign the electronic transmission angle which they dubiously snuck in with other things for the electoral act.

Since all that has failed, they have now resorted to the WE ARE ALL CORRUPT INCLUDING BUHARI agenda and the fake news arsenal .

However, the more they do this, the more they lose key members to APC

It's was obvious GEJ will lose when all northerners ganged up against him, even PDP national chairman then, we are in 2019, Atiku is from north not south, in Northwest Kano, Kaduna, Zamfara even Kastina will surprise you guys, no doubt Buhari will win in northwest but not like 2015, Atiku will grab more than 30% votes from northwest, Atiku will win northeast with 53%, Atiku will win north central, Southeast, and southsouth, Buhari will win Southwest, but Atiku will grab more than 45% votes from west if the election is free and fair.

Dream on

Win he lost except Plateau state, in Northwest you predicted GEJ will win in Kaduna he lost their with wide margin, northwest and Northeast was very easy for any body to predict. You are fake

Nigeria is bigger than nairaland. Don't be deceived by the sentiments you see here on nairaland. A lot of the youths here perhaps yourself inclusive lack the ability to think straight which is why you are led by your hormone ravaged emotions.

Beyond Nairaland are more mentally matured people who actually hold majority of the votes.

His analysis was well given and was not influenced by his emotions or political leaning which was why he was very generous to Atiku

PassingShot you just made me a fan of yours. This is a very unbiased and almost bullseye accurate analysis.

As it stands the power of incumbency has changed and is now with APC. Buhari isn't as hopeless and clueless as GEJ was and if indeed he is as sentimental and focused about the salvaging of Nigeria as he says he is, then all checks would be subtly put in place to ensure PDP experiences as much stumbling blocks as possible.

He has even hinted in that when he said sometime ago and I quote;

" Any party EXCEPT PDP"

The buhari I see today will never allow the elements in PDP steal power again. The mistakes he made in the past will never repeat.

Again I love your analysis. Are you a statistician?

Your prediction is totally wrong. You'll be surprised. What happened on Nov 8th 2016/in USA will happen in Nigeria on 16th Feb 2019. Just watch. I don't want to talk too much. Many Nigerians are angry because of killings, poor economy, hardship and sufferings, etc. You'll see it on the ballot box and God's intervention will surprise you. Mark my words.

Why are you PDP apologists all suddenly making reference to what happened in USA elections but when we say Atiku should visit USA you all say that is not important.

USA uses real time electronic voting and that is not the case with us.

Plus the average american is very politically responsive but not so here.

Please stop making reference to usa regarding figures if your principal and yourself do not see the same importance when it comes to him going there.

Please permit me to make some corrections here
1.It is Adamu Muazu that was a former PDP national chairman and not Mallam Isa Yuguda
2.Alh. Yayele Ahmad was not a former governor of Bauchi state, but a former SGF.
3. Senator Babayo Garba was not a member of the PDP BOT,but the the PDP deputy National chairman(North)
4. Alh. Abdulmalik Mahmoud was a former deputy governor, not a former senator.
Seriously,Bauchi was locked down today for Mr. President.I was at ATBS Bauchi today, and I must tell you that Bauchi is in the bag for Buhari. The state governor may not be very popular with the masses but believe me when it comes to Buhari,he will triple the amount of votes he got in the state during the last presidential elections...with the defection of these political heavyweights in the state,it is the end of the PDP in Bauchi state.

Corrections done. Thanks
