Politics / Breaking! 2,000 PDP Members Dump Party, Defect To APC In Borno by Buterflyle0: 9:53pm On Jan 07, 2019 |
- Some members of the PDP defected to the APC in Katsina state - The defectors said they joined the APC on their own accord - The new APC members praised President Muhammadu Buhari for his good work No fewer than 2,800 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Madobi, Daura in Katsina State have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). The News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN) reports that the defectors were received into the APC fold in Madobi village on Monday by the Daura Local Government party Chairman, Alhaji Sani Altine-Daura. The chairman assured the new members of equal treatment and promised to carry everybody along in the party activities, devoid of any other considerations. Malam Iliyasu Shehu, former Chairman of the local government, who spoke on behalf of the defectors, said that they took the decision in order to add value to electoral process as general elections got nearer. He said that they joined the party unconditionally adding that the ruling party under President Muhammadu Buhari had performed excellently especially in the provision of infrastructural facilities. Shehu said that Daura local council had provided portable water and renovated many schools in the electoral ward, noting that the resolve to join APC was for progress and development of communities. He assured that the defectors would be committed and dedicated to the manifestos of the APC and their loyalty to the party was unwavering. In his remarks, Daura Council Chairman, Alhaji Abba Mato, assured the new party members of unwavering attention of the council, especially in the provision of more welfare services to the area. The event was attended by party stalwarts, local government officials and other stakeholders. Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is worried over the defection of its former Niger state chairman, Abdulrahman Enagi, barely a month to the general elections. NAN reports that Enagi defected along with two former governorship aspirants, Ahmed Baka and Engineer Hanafi Sudan, and others to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Legit.ng gathers that PDP asked the party supporters to remain focused “and refuse to be distracted by the action of a few people”. https://www.legit.ng/amp/1213904-big-trouble-pdp-2000-members-defect-apc-borno-state.html 7 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / SHOCKER! PDP Big Wigs Defect To APC After Meeting With Buhari by Buterflyle0: 9:45pm On Jan 07, 2019 |
Posted on January 7, 2019 by Cosmos Oladayo Mohammed Goni, A former governor of the old Borno state, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, to the ruling All Progressives Congress. His defection was announced by former Senate leader, Ali Ndume, who led a delegation from the north east to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari. Speaking briefly with State House correspondents after the meeting, Mr Goni said he decided to move to the APC because of the respect he has for Mr Buhari and what he has done to return relative peace to the north east region. “I know the president very well, I was the council secretary when he was governor of north east. He is a performer,” he said. Mr Goni was also in the United Nigeria Peoples Party, (UNPP), and was the party’s vice presidential candidate with former Anambra governor, Jim Nwobodo. Mr Goni was the governorship candidate of PDP in Borno during the 2011 election. A former senator and former speaker of old Gongola state, and a chieftain of the PDP from Adamawa state, Paul Wampana, also announced his defection to the APC. Mr Wampana was a national vice chairman, north east of the PDP http://www.dailyadvent.com/index.php/2019/01/07/shocker-pdp-big-wigs-defects-to-apc-after-meeting-with-buhari/?fbclid=IwAR0bRBTeABPyiyIVIyw2fB_jfuIJ35w2lbgL9YeiV5i1srIjmDfWs6g8DWU Mynd44 |

Princedapace: Stop typing trash. PDP and GEJ fought against the use of card readers in 2015. It was Jega with Falana who dragged the matter to the courts and the courts ruled in favour of Inec. Even PDP initially did not want card readers to be used in 2015. Get your facts right Those who have been well known to rig all manner of elections has been PDP which is why now that card readers are in use, they have been losing elections as if they are cursed. |

Princedapace: I am not being paid either but we need to always say the truth no matter what.the reason why PMB said the electoral law (when corrected as he has pointed out and signed by him) will be used in 2019 is because its too short a time to start making changes to a process that has ready gone far using the electoral act of 2010. |
Politics / Re: 40 Presidential Candidates Back Buhari On Unsigned Electoral Law by Buterflyle0: 7:39am On Dec 10, 2018 |
Princedapace: Abeg take your shame and park it in your garage. The so called electoral act being pushed by NASS is itself faulty which is why pmb refused to sign it. Why does PDP no longer trust the same electoral laws they have been using since 2010? If those laws have loopholes, then PDP should also exploit those loopholes as you claim APC did in 2015. We cannot begin an electoral process with a different set of laws and then end it with another. The legal implications are too much. Any loser would argue in court based on the law that favours them. There will be no unifying electoral act to back up any case. Party A will argue from 2010 electoral act because it favours them and then Party B will use 2018 electoral act because it favours them This is a recipee for disaster and PDP knows this but still want to mess everything up because they already know they will not win 1 Like |

dancewith: PDP brought the electoral laws used in 2015. A PDP dominated NASS and a PDP president signed it into law and it was successfully used in 2015 to conduct an election they lost. The PDP president then, that Otuoke shepe brand ambassador said the election was free and fair so what nonsense are you saying ? 10 Likes 1 Share |
