lotusflower:Muslim (20 : 4645 ) – “…He (the Messenger of Allah) did that and said: There is another act which elevates the position of a man in Paradise to a grade one hundred (higher ) , and the elevation between one grade and the other is equal to the height of the heaven from the earth . He (Abu Sa’ id) said: What is that act ? He replied: Jihad in the way of Allah! Jihad in the way of Allah!” Muslim (20 : 4696 ) – “ the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him ) said : ‘ One who died but did not fight in the way of Allah nor did he express any desire (or determination) for Jihid died the death of a hypocrite . '” Muslim (19 : 4321 - 4323) – Three separate hadith in which Muhammad shrugs over the news that innocent children were killed in a raid by his men against unbelievers . His response: “ They are of them (meaning the enemy ). ” Tabari 7 : 97 The morning after the murder of Ashraf , the Prophet declared , “ Kill any Jew who falls under your power . ” Ashraf was a poet, killed by Muhammad ’ s men because he insulted Islam . Here, Muhammad widens the scope of his orders to kill. An innocent Jewish businessman was then slain by his Muslim partner, merely for being non- Muslim. Tabari 9 : 69 “ Killing Unbelievers is a small matter to us ” The words of Muhammad , prophet of Islam . Ibn Ishaq : 327 – “ Allah said , ‘ A prophet must slaughter before collecting captives. A slaughtered enemy is driven from the land . Muhammad , you craved the desires of this world, its goods and the ransom captives would bring . But Allah desires killing them to manifest the religion . ’”.......yet no verse in the Quran preach killing? |

I can't but notice when atheists engage in debates with Christians on dis forum the two sides invariably exchange insults before becoming even more militant than they previously were. Neither party intends to strengthen the resolve of the other, although both sides usually manage to sooth their egos as part of the process. Asking a difficult question can achieve better results because it taps into the Christian's desire to share the wisdom they perceive themselves to have. Any reflex for angry disagreement is quashed and replaced by an obligation to think their answer through. Ultimately, thought is what an atheist should be trying to elicit. By asking the right questions, one can determine the direction that such thought takes...here are few of the questions I'd like to ask Regarding World Religion: If a hundred different religions have to be wrong for yours to be right, does this show that people from all over the world like to invent gods that don’t exist? If your parents had belonged to a different religion, do you think you would belong to that religion too? If people from the five major religions are told conflicting information by their respective gods, should any of them be believed? Regarding Communication with God: How can you tell the voice of God from a voice in your head? How can you tell the voice of God from the voice of the Devil? Would you find it easier to kill someone if you believed God supported you in the act? If God told you to kill an atheist, would you? Regarding Morality: When an atheist is kind and charitable out of the kindness of his heart, is his behavior more or less commendable than a religious man who does it because God instructed him to? If you are against the Crusades and the Inquisition, would you have been burned alive as a heretic during those events? If your interpretation of a holy book causes you to condemn your ancestors for having a different interpretation, will your descendants condemn you in the same way? Rape wasn't always a crime in the Middle East two thousand years ago. Is that why `do not rape’ is not part of the Ten Commandments? Do animals need `god-given' morality to understand how to care for their young, co- operate within a pack, or feel anguish at the loss of a companion? Why do we? If an organized religion requires a civilization in which to spread, how could this civilization exist without first having a moral code to make it civil? Regarding the Characteristics of God: An all-knowing God can read your mind, so why does he require you to demonstrate your faith by worshiping him? If God is all-knowing, why do holy books describe him as surprised or angered by the actions of humans? He should have known what was going to happen, right? An all-knowing God knows who will ultimately reject him. Why does God create people who he knows will end up in hell? If God is all-knowing, then why did he make humans, knowing that he’d eventually have to send Jesus to his death? Why did a supposedly omnipotent God take six days to create the universe, and why did he require rest on the seventh day? Is omnipotence necessary to create our universe when a larger, denser universe would have required more power? Regarding the Bible: Why are Churches filled with riches when Jesus asked his followers to give their wealth away? While in the desert, Jesus rejected the temptations of the Devil. He didn't censor or kill the Devil, so why are Christians so in favor of censoring or condemning many Earthly temptations? Given that the story of Noah’s Ark was copied almost word-for-word from the much older Sumerian Epic of Atrahasis , does this mean that our true ruler is the supreme sky god, Anu? Regarding Religious Conversion: If your desire is to convert atheists so that they become more like you, do you think that you’re currently better than them? If religious people don’t respect their children’s right to pick their own religion, how can society expect religious people to respect anyone’s right to freedom of religion? If missionaries from your religion should be sent to convert people in other countries, should missionaries from other religions be sent to your country for the same reason? If children are likely to believe in Santa Claus and fairies, does this explain why religion has been taught to children for thousands of years? When preachers and prophets claim to be special messengers of God, they often receive special benefits from their followers. Does this ever cause you to doubt their intentions? Regarding Miracles: When you declare a miracle, does this mean you understand everything that is possible in nature? If a woman was cured of cancer by means unknown to us, and everyone declared it a miracle, would the chance of scientifically replicating this cure be more or less likely? If humans declared fire to be a miracle thousands of years ago, would we still be huddling together in caves while we wait for God to throw another lightning bolt into the forest? If God gave a man cancer, and the Devil cured him to subvert God’s plan, how would you know it wasn't a divine miracle? What if he was an unkind, atheist, homosexual? Regarding Hell: Should an instruction to convert to your religion upon the threat of eternal torture in hell be met with anything other than hostility? Can a mass murderer go to heaven for accepting your religion, while a kind doctor goes to hell for not? Did the mass murdering Crusaders and Inquisitors make it into the Christian heaven? How can we know what is right when we don’t know for sure who makes it into heaven and hell? If aliens exist on several worlds that have never heard of your god, will they all be going to hell when they die? The Promises of Religion: If someone promised you eternal life, the protection of a loving super being, a feeling of moral righteousness, a purpose for living, answers to all the big questions, and a rule book for achieving the pinnacle of human potential, all in exchange for having faith in something that wasn't proven, would you be suspicious? If someone promised to give you a billion dollars after ten years but only if you worshiped them until that time, would you believe them? If someone promised you eternal life upon death, but only if you spent your life worshiping a god, would you believe them? Why does religion appeal more to poor, weak, vulnerable, young, ill, depressed, and ostracized people? Could religious promises be more of a temptation to these people?.... |
Smartoscope007:and ur religion and it's novel is any better?? |
parisbookaddict:yeah yeah. it's the exact opposite I wont argue with you on dat but I know truth is not hard to kill, and a lie well told is immortal and had d Abrahamic religion not existed to seize power when it did (and assuming no horrid analog arose in its place to do so), we would be living now in a world 1500 years more technologically and scientifically advanced--and 1500 years more politically and socially advanced. We would not be struggling in every domain of our lives with the wreckage of inhuman attitudes about sexuality or social justice or liberty, inhuman attitudes entrenched in our culture and thus our psyches solely because of it. All the battles we are fighting today, against the abuse of the poor, against war mongering, against hostility to sexual freedom and enjoyment, against oppression of women and gays, would have been resolved centuries ago, in favor of human liberty.the Abrahamic has been holding us back. It holds us back still. |

parisbookaddict:and u forgetting Jesus ain't d only prophet in d xtian book as muh'd ain't d only in d Muslim's cos it seems u singling d dude out.... clearly sum1 aint reading deir bible wel..... Make ready to slaughter the infidel’s sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and possess the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants. ( Isaiah 14:21 ) Then I heard God say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all – old and young, girls and women and little children.” ( Ezekiel 9:5 ) Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. ( Numbers 31:17-18 ) If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 how is dis any beta dan d muslim's Koran?? |

UyiIredia:faith means belief? bro no doubt both are intertwined but they definitely aren't d same... |
UyiIredia:and what exactly do u think "faith"means? bro having faith in something doesn't make that thing rue,it doesn't even make it probably true, it means you'd believe it even if it's not true-as sed by his holiness GURU JOHNNYDON22 |
Arguably, there is no stronger
belief than one’s religion. What would it take for
you to entertain the thought that you – and the
other followers of your religion – could be
wrong? Many people will (hopefully… eventually) change their beliefs on a subject after enough contradictory evidence emerges. Why? Because sometimes the evidence is so solid and undeniable that it is easier to give up their belief or worldview than having to constantly generate excuses why the evidence is false. Nothing in this world should be immune to scrutiny, and that includes religion. |
with tears in my eyes I went through dis post and wished God exists...Islam sud be wiped off d surface of earth,it's such a violent, barbaric and immoral religion and m surprised some will see d evil it does as accordance to sum stupid supreme God |

OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA (Muhammadu Buhari G.C.F.R) ON EDUCATIONAL SECTOR. With due respect sir, I will like to commend you on your great and numerous activeness towards the development of our great nation since you emerge as the president of our country. Its has become a mindset and well sayings of some citizen of our nation ''Buhari can't subsidize or eradicate the issue of terrorism in Nigeria''. According to my expectation and believe, it is a mindset to me that you President Muhammadu Buhari will eradicate, not even subsidize the terrorism issues we are facing in our country. It is obvious that Nigeria is facing terrorism act in numerous sectors of the country. 1.Educational sector. 2.Power sector. 3. Employment. 4.Security sector. 5.Political sector. Let me go on Educational sector. Education is the best legacy; Come to think of it Mr. President, we all know that Britian colonized Nigeria. In the history of education with Nigeria, western education to be precise, the whites are the one who enlighten us on western education, but right from time, we study more than they do but yet their country is well developed to our country. For the fact that we study more than they do, can't we implement more tangible ideas so as to make our country more better than their country especially in technology? Mr. President, many students drop out of school due to financial problem and this make them become irrelevant to the society. Take a flash back; 30 years ago, no one ever dreamt that Nigeria can be among the terrorist nation in the world. Today, Nigeria is on the top list among the terrorist countries due to Boko Haram insurgency.. The boko haram you hear now killing innocent souls started based on lack of proper and effective education in some parts of the country. It was discovered from my research that the children of the masses are the ones suffering from qualitative education in Nigeria today. Most of our politician's children don't study here in Nigeria, why? This is a question to them all. Mr. President, take a look at aviation education for instance, most of these aviation students never aspired to get a local license or certificate for the fact that if this recommendation is given to them, they find it difficult to secure job with their credentials, especially those on technical fields among them. I read a news on the net a year ago about 500 graduate pilots unable to get job. Why? After all, Nigeria license is the license issued to them (NCAA). Also, lack of proper education is among the causes why we experience aviation disaster in this country. Students of the masses spend years in getting degree in Nigeria universities, by the time they graduated from school, their age has above the the required age in labour market which also make some of them to make false statement of their age. The worst of it all, students write UTME more than Three times without admission into higher institutions. All these are factors affected some certain set of people in Nigeria. No one ever thought that the governments are making money from the masses through the yearly UTME(jamb) in which 1.7 million candidates will obtained the form and less than 400,000 will be admitted to universities, polytechnics and college of educations in Nigeria. In a pleading position with rolling tears from eyes, Mr. President, please do something about this. Nigerians are really suffering without education and a qualitative one. I believe you can do it and may God help you on your assignments in office. I still appreciate the atmosphere of your tenure. Kudos sir. Thank you for the Audience. Put a frog in bucket of water n start heating the
water. As d temperature of d water is rising, d frog
is able to adjust it's body temperature accordingly.
The frog kips on adjusting with d increase in
temperature... just when d water is about to reach
boiling point, d frog is not able to adjust
anymore.... @ dat point d frog decides to jump
out...d frog tries to jump but is unable to so
because it has lost its strength in adjusting with d
rising water temperature....soon d frog dies.
What killed d frog?
Many of us will say d boiling water... but d truth
about what killed d frog was it's inability to decide
when to jump out.
We all nid to adjust with people n situation but we
need to be sure wen we nid to adjust and wen we
need to jump out. There are times wen we nid to
face situations n take appropriate action....if we
allow people to exploit us, mentally, physically,
emotionally & financially, they will continue to do
so. We have to decide when to jump n do so while
u still av d strength.
while in a relationship & love isn't reciprocated
after giving it ur best, Pls walk away while u can!!
Have a blessed weekend!({}) |
