DeRuggedProf:Be vigilant and always re-evaluate your basket's strength at all times. Once it shows signs of weakness, change it. I have my entry price, exit price, acceptable maximum loss and stay duration always spelt out before i enter any trade. |
DeRuggedProf:Brother. Dangflour is already pulling its weight today. So just calm down
|
Diamond on full offer. Fidelity gradually going to full offer. FBNH balanced at N7

leo1234:It might. But i will enter the stock in September. Have my personal reasons. |
yom2:They will brief us on what they used the Dufil prima deal money for. |
veecovee:My brother. It is better to put all your eggs in one GOOD basket than to put them in several faulty baskets. |
leo1234:Afriprud will perform after the release of results. Thats my end of year bus. |
DeRuggedProf:Very correct. I'm already 100% loaded here. Just waiting for the necessary announcement. |

makashava:Which stupid bear? A friend of mine just went to liquidate his fixed deposit about 20 minutes ago and was trying to convince me to join him as people are making money in the stock market. I feigned ignorance as i didnt want him to know my investment plans. People are beginning to have confidence in the stock market and the confidence level is amazing. This is in addition to the influx of usd from the NAFEX window into the equities and treasury market. Wont convince you to hold your shares but you will only regret not playing in the stock market right now. Gracias |
Myconfidence in Morgan just increased greatly. Just like humans and computers, shit is bound to happen occasionally but how you resolve it matters. They are up again and i have loaded my additional units of Dangote flour at 5.25, an increase from my intended rate of 5.06 this morning. Mr dangote, your target has been increased. Please work hard. |
stcool:You just dey yan dust. We still cant place order or view market. Only ur portfolio. |
Morgan is back online. But account overview and market is not updated. Quarter bread |
DeRuggedProf:Here it is though this platform is not robust to show all.
|
veecovee:Worry not bro. Somebody has started mopping up Dangflour at 5.26. And from what i am seeing, its going to close on bid for the third consecutive day. The anticipated news is not even out and the stock is rallying. Imagine what will happen when the announcement is made to the world that they are a dividend viable, profitable company again. My only anger is my inability to buy today. |
I wont want to insult or put down Morgan Capital but they just spoil my opportunity to mop up these available dangote flour at 5.06. Very Annoyed. ![]() |

[Nigeria] Dangote to spend 10 billion dollars on rice cultivation, gives tools to block makers 30-05-2017 02:53:00 | by: Andrea Ayemoba | hits: 4296 | Tags: Agribusiness Food & Retail Nigeria The Dangote Group shone at the just concluded 2017 Gateway Trade fair which was held in Abeokuta, emerging as the second most patronised exhibitor, just as the Group disclosed that it was investing N10 billion dollars in rice cultivation in five states to boost food self-sufficiency. To mark its Day at the Fair, a subsidiary of the Group, Dangote Cement, gave out several tools and implements to the block makers in Ogun State in appreciation of their patronages. Tools such as wheel barrowers, shovels, umbrellas and hand gloves were donated to block makers who assembled from different areas of the state. During the 10-day trade fair, Dangote Flour delighted customers and participants with free sampling of its new pasta products. The wet sampling made the Group’s pavilion the center of activities at the Fair as participants trooped in for their daily meal. Customers were rewarded with branded coolers, kitchen aprons, exercise books and customized ladles. Commending Dangote Group for its sponsorship and participation at the Fair, President of Ogun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) Mrs. Adesola Adebutu said the support given by the Group went a long way in making the staging of the Fair a success. She commended the Pan African Conglomerate for its giant strides in economic development of the country through massive investments in several sectors of the economy describing the feat as worthy of emulation by other Nigerians. A director of Dangote Group, Tunde Mabogunje who represented the Group at the special day, said that the partnership with OGUNCCIMA is beneficial as Ogun State is the host of the 12 mmtpa Dangote Cement Plant, Ibese, the second largest cement plant in Nigeria. Dangote Cement, he said, “through the plant provides thousands of direct and indirect jobs in the state. As a responsible corporate citizen, we participate fully in all events and activities designed to drive social and economic welfare of the state.” He described the theme for this year’s Trade Fair: Promoting Agricultural Value Chain through SMEs for Nigeria Economic Recovery as being apt, given the nation is now paying attention to Agriculture, which has the potential of becoming the major driver of the economy instead of oil, pointing out that in line with the theme the Group is at the forefront of job creation and is the largest employer of labour outside government. Mabogunje stated “We have been contributing our quota to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy. Towards aiding agriculture, we are building a fertilizer plant in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos State. When completed, farmers will have regular access to fertilizer for their farming activities. The delays and disruptions experienced in waiting for imported fertilizer will cease.” “We are investing about $1 billion in rice cultivation. We have an outgrowers scheme where thousands of farmers are empowered with improved seeds and items needed to cultivate rice.” http://africabusinesscommunities.com/news/nigeria-dangote-to-spend-10-billion-dollars-on-rice-cultivation-gives-tools-to-block-makers |
leo1234:First sentence true. And i made a huge gain that is ok for me at my target price. No greed. Third sentence, I'm interested. Mind being my mentor there? |
See person wan sell 10m+ units of FBNH. No Buyer. Could this be daddy GO?

veecovee:Not boasting bro. But when one presents facts that are true at the moment and some other person faults it without presenting facts, you have to expose it. Any which way, i already gave dangote my target. He should go and deliver asap. |
Good. Next time you guys will take me serious when i recommend a stock. Dangote flour has officially dried up. Let the price adjustment begin. |
Coolcash1:Dangote Flour Mills: Operators weigh impact of divestment on shareholders By Nkiruka Nnorom THE divestment of Dangote FlourMill Plc from its noodles business will result in more value accretion to its shareholders, operators in the Nigerian capital market have said. According to them, selling the noodles business will allow the company to concentrate on the pasta and flour businesses where it has efficiency and competitive advantage. Dangote Flourmills had said last week it has sold its noodles business to Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of the Indomie Noodles. The company said it took the decision after a regular portfolio review revealed that Dangote Noodles was not strategic to its vision. According to the company, the divestment was part of strategies of focusing on core areas of flour and pasta production where the company has substantial market share. With the divestment, Dangote Flour will now focus on its strengths in flour and pasta and become more profitable by improving in areas of quality, distribution and marketing. Financial Vanguard analysis of the income stream of the company showed that the noodles business represents only a minute portion of the company’s operation. In the year ended December 31, 2016, it contributed only N8.14 billion, representing 7.7 per cent to the company’s total revenue for the year. Dangote FlourMills raked in N105.77 billion in 2016. According to Tola Odukoya, the Chief Executive Officer of FSL Asset Management, shareholders will still get value since the company would rake in more money from the sale. “Based on whatever due diligence they must have done, they are letting go of a division of their business that they believe they cannot make more efficient now under their own management,” he said. Odukoya noted that based on the greater efficiency they will get from the divestment by concentrating only on the flour and pasta business, shareholders will still get more value at the end of the day. “By the divestment, they are simply saying that in terms of noodles business, they do not have the competency and efficiency to run the business and rather than using shareholders fund to continue to run the business, let us sell it to somebody who can do it better and get value for it, which means that shareholders’ value has increased in that regard.” Johnson Chukwu, Managing Director/CEO, Cowry Asset Management Limited, said: “If a company is divesting, two may happen. One is that the company can pay special dividend to its shareholders from the proceeds of the divestment and it can also decide to reinvest the proceeds of that divestment into its operation to drive its core business. “If the company decides to reinvest the proceeds of the business and that reinvestment leads to higher profitability from its core business, then we will see an improvement in the stock price, but if in the alternative, the proceeds of the divestment will be shared to the shareholders as special dividend, then you are going to see a downward correction in the stock price of Dangote FlourMill share price.” Link: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/04/dangote-flour-mills-operators-weigh-impact-divestment-shareholders/ |
