mendes911:There is a very thin line between good analysis and Monkey hunting. Current price and locodemy have been crossing that line consistently and making good gains off ignorant members here. |
https://www.nairaland.com/4221567/dangote-features-nasdaq-tower-new#63082281 Expect all his babies to respond to this news |
mendes911:No sir. FMN's last price was 34.7. Divide it by 2.31. it will give u 15.021 which is the fair price of DF if you want to use that parameter as a determinant. I see DF as the stanbic of the flour industry. |
safepaulooo:It's not almost. The exact ratio from his presentation is 1: 2.31. if I use that principle to compare prices, Dangote should be above 18 naira as of today. And you wonder why tritritri will always sell low to buy high and also pay commission on it ![]() |
Agbalowomeri:Going by the rules, if you dispose a company's asset, you are supposed to share the proceeds amongst the shareholders and creditors if the coy is bankrupt or the shareholders alone if the coy has positive retained earnings. It is left for the shareholders to now decide wether to give you back to further the business and that will be decided at the AGM. |
GANDALF1:Wow. Very good job. Slept off before you could finish but after going through your presentation, I have no doubt that my decision not to sell any of my units yesterday was an excellent one. The dividend call might be tough though I am expecting a bonus of like 1 share for every 4 held. So if dividend comes, that's Jara. You should do this often please. Won't mind paying though. |
Waiting oooo |
GANDALF1:Continue. I'm with you sir |
fxuser:God bless the day I researched this stock |

straffing:Guess you are quoting me. Go check my posting history. I don't need to be in a stock to comment about it. I'm currently in DF and don't plan leaving it anytime soon and guess what, I'm not in it because of dividend. Go check my earlier prediction on CI Leasing and Carverton. I study the market and my posts are what I think of the market at the time of my posting. I don't have any unit of Fidelity, never planned to buy, not planning to buy in the future. Sorry my post hurt u. Ok? |
bigjay01:You are different. What about others we have seen on this thread? Anyway, I'm just doing my good deed for today. Happy sallah |
Standardguy:Good guy. You got my point completely. But note that the herd effect will also affect moribund companies with bad corporate governance and all other negative factors. So it's important to invest in companies that will not packup when the bears come in future. And don't forget that the market moves in crest and troughs. So it may take 7years of plenty but famine will still show up one day. |
Toluway:They are anough and I never labeled them as bad stocks if you read carefully. What I'm saying is given our environment and short term nature in this country, you will wake up to find out that you are the only one in a bus traveling to a destination that is different from what is on your booking ticket. Capisce? |
Agbalowomeri:Some exit before then. Sorry I omitted that part ![]() |
I normally don't like posting in bullish periods because of the popular knowledge that everyone becomes an expert in such periods. But I feel obliged to give some thoughts to newbies as they pay their NSE fees. What is suddenly moving the market? Why are prices going up generally? The answer is simple. No more 18%+ interest in Treasury Bill. No more 16%+ interest in Bonds. All the monies that left the market as a result of the sudden increase of interest rates at the peak of our recession is returning back to the stock market. This is good for the market but has a very big disadvantage to inexperienced traders. Why? Because all the stocks will appreciate in price Will they remain so? No Why? Because investors will soon discern the good stocks from the bad and hence offload the bad to unfortunate hands who will then hold them through the bearish period or sell at a loss ![]() In all this, it is important to know everything about the company you are buying their shares, what is in it for you, what is moving their price and most importantly, your exit plan when poo hits the fan. I give you an example, what's special about Fidelity Bank? Is their numbers the best in the banking index? No then why is everyone looking their way right now? Simply because they declare good dividend historically. Now, you follow the band wagon, buy Fidelity because of this fact, not planning your trade. After the dividend play and ex-dividend date, the players will exit and this will pull back the price. Why? It will no longer be fruitful to hold Fidelity until the next dividend period chikena.Another of such company is Afriprud. These are even companies with good financials o. So what happens to you if you had gone ahead to buy caverton because the price is rising with the general bull? Or CI Leasing? Or even Skye ![]() Anyway, I'm in my house. If my opinion annoyed you, come and beat me ![]() |
I laugh when pple make some drastic comments about stocks just in a bid to drive down the price in other for them to position. If you want to be successful in NSE, it's simple. Be your own boss and avoid herd mentality. Conduct your due diligence and forget about price flunctuations. Set your targets and revise them as more reports come in. I'm not were I want to be yet but I know God willing, I will get there in terms of stock studies and trend analysis. I have increased my holdings in Dangote flour and I pity those selling because of the comments on this forum. Before you sell, consider the commission on sales and the commission it will cost you to buy the same quantity of shares again. Then consider the current holders of the stock. What if they are not WILLING to sell even with your bid? Will you shoot them? Anyways, every mallam with his kettle |

locodemy:That guy might be right. Let me tell you a little about myself. I joined NSE in 2007 through Rolex securities (folded now). Was heavily loaded on Bagco and PHB as at the day they were delisted. Only God saved me from Japaul as my bank refused to remit my money during their IPO in 2007. Its not about buying a stock. Anybody can do that if you know what to do. Its about selling the same stock when the chips are down ![]() A likely scenario in this waking up of Caverton is that newbies will jump in, then the experienced hand will sell to them only for the newbies to find out the have nobody to sell to Then caverton will not declare dividend Then they will get tired and sell at a loss to the experts again ![]() |
yinka2011:Bro. The way u are trying to lure bnsitl to this your easykobo site is appalling and beginning to piss me off. Hardly do you make a post here without refering to the shitty site. Now, i have made up my mind that even with a berretta poimted to my skull, i will never visit it. |
1 sellydion:suspected this too |
Mpeace:*handshake* i go remember you |
Where's Mpeace, ma nigga? ![]() |
Points to note from the screenshots attached. 1. Retain earnings is now in positive of over 1.4billion. Hence dividend is assured if they put up this same feat in the next 3months. 2. The noodles transaction has been concluded and recognised. Hence the jump in profit from the noodles department to .844billion. So we can value DF as or more than DS. Fair price between N14-16. No longer selling again

tritritri:There's this house i have been eyeing. Told dangote to make 20m for me b4 December so i can buy it with my profit. Guess what, i am already in profit of close to 22m as at friday. Just wanna sit back and enjoy this Christmas that came early Glory be to God |
