An eyewitness has spoken of the horrific scenes in Penryn on Friday when a man chopped his manhood off with a kitchen knife in front of horrified onlookers. The 43-year-old man, who lives in the town, could be seen running along Mutton Row at around 8.45pm, allegedly naked. He then brandished the knife and cut off his Manhood , before collapsing to the ground. An eyewitness said he found the severed manhood in a neighbouring garden. It is reported that the witness, a student in the town, said that the man looked him in the eye, "started screaming and then cut", adding he did not stay to watch. Three police officers called to the scene, PC Kim James, PC Jules Evans, and PC James Tompson gave first aid at the scene after finding the man in his house. With their swift actions credited as avoiding what would most likely have been a "fatal incident". A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said paramedics arrived just before 9pm the man was “bleeding heavily” and had fallen unconscious when they found him. The police received the initial call from a member of the public, to say there was concern for a man. A spokesperson confirmed that there was no one else involved in the incident. The man was taken by land ambulance to the emergency department at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, where he was later described as being in a “stable” condition. His injuries are not thought to the life threatening. It is thought the man may suffer from a mental health issue. It is understood that two women saw the incident unfold and ran terrified to a nearby house, where a man took them in and called the police. The man is said to be in a stabe condition in hospital at Trelsike. http://www.falmouthpacket.co.uk/news/10434718._/ |
A German man spent 15 years with a pencil in his head following a childhood accident. Aachen University Hospital says the 24-year-old man sought help in 2011 after suffering for years from headaches, constant colds and worsening vision in one eye. A scan showed that a four-inch pencil was lodged from his sinus to his pharynx and had injured his right eye socket. The unnamed man said he did not know how the pencil got there but recalled that he once fell badly as a child. The German doctors removed the pencil and say the man has recovered. Hospital spokesman Mathias Brandstaedter said that the case was presented for the first time at a medical conference this week. In 2007, a German woman plagued by headaches and nosebleeds had a pencil removed from inside her head after more than 50 years . Margret Wegner, 59, fell over carrying the pencil in her hand when she was four. "The pencil went right through my skin - and disappeared into my head," she said at the time. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/10086679/German-man-spends-15-years-with-pencil-in-head.html |
A man has been charged with the murder of soldier Lee Rigby in south-east London last week, police have said. Michael Adebowale, 22, of Greenwich, London, has been remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday morning. A second man, Michael Adebolajo, 28, remains under arrest at a London hospital. Drummer Rigby, 25, was stabbed to death in a street attack in Woolwich on Wednesday 22 May. Mr Adebowale, who was discharged from hospital on Tuesday, has also been charged with possession of a firearm. 'Sufficient evidence' Sue Hemming, head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) Special Crime and Counter- terrorism Division, said : "Crown Prosecutors have been working with the investigators of Counter Terrorism Command since the killing of Drummer Lee Rigby on 22 May. "Following the release of Michael Adebowale from hospital, we have authorised the police to charge him with the murder of Drummer Rigby. "We have also authorised police to charge him with possession of a firearm, contrary to section 16A of the Firearms Act 1968. "There is sufficient evidence to prosecute Michael Adebowale and it is in the public interest to do so. He will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court tomorrow, Thursday 30 May." The CPS said it was continuing to advise police over other suspects arrested during the investigation into Drummer Rigby's death. A post-mortem examination found that the serving soldier died of "multiple incised wounds". Scotland Yard said the inquest into Drummer Rigby's death would open at Southwark Coroner's Court on Friday. Minute's silence Commander Simon Letchford, of the Metropolitan Police, has made a fresh appeal for information and witnesses following the incident near the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich. A minute's silence was held in Woolwich just before 14:20 BST on Wednesday - exactly a week after the event - followed by spontaneous applause. Drummer Rigby's fiancee Aimee West said she was "devastated by the loss". The Independent Police Complaints Commission is investigating, which is routine in situations where police officers have discharged their firearms, after two men were shot in the incident. The commission said two police officers had fired gunshots and one had used a Taser. Police have arrested eight other people in connection with the investigation so far; six of these have been bailed and two released without charge. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22712411 |
Two common painkillers, ibuprofen and diclofenac, can slightly increase the risk of heart problems if taken in high doses for a long time, data suggests. People with severe arthritis often take the drugs, which also calm inflammation, to go about daily life. The researchers said some patients would deem the risk acceptable, but they should be given the choice. A study, published in the Lancet , showed the drugs posed even greater risks for smokers and the overweight. The risks have been reported before, but a team of researchers at the University of Oxford analysed the issue in unprecedented detail in order to help patients make an informed choice. The group investigated more than 353,000 patient records from 639 separate clinical trials to assess the impact of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. They looked at high-dose prescriptions levels, rather than over-the-counter pain relief, of 150mg diclofenac or 2,400mg ibuprofen each day. They showed that for every 1,000 people taking the drugs there would be three additional heart attacks, four more cases of heart failure and one death as well cases of stomach bleeding - every year as a result of taking the drugs. So the number of heart attacks would increase from eight per 1,000 people per year normally, to 11 per 1,000 people per year with the drugs. "Three per thousand per year sounds like it is quite a low risk, but the judgement has to be made by patients," said lead researcher Prof Colin Baigent. He added: "So if you're a patient and you go and sit in front of your doctor and discuss it, you are the one who should be making the judgement about whether three per thousand per year is worth it to allow you, potentially, to go about your daily life." He said this should not concern people taking a short course of these drugs, for example for headaches. However, he did warn that those already at risk of heart problems would be at even greater risk as a result of the high-dose drugs. High blood pressure, cholesterol and smoking all increase the risk of heart problems. Prof Baigent said: "The higher your risk of heart disease, the higher your risk of a complication. Roughly speaking, if you've got double the risk of heart disease, then the risk of having a heart attack is roughly doubled." He said patients should consider ways to reduce their risk, which could include statins for some patients. Alternative A similar drug called rofecoxib (known as Vioxx), was voluntarily taken off the market by its manufacturer in 2004 after similar concerns were raised. There are more than 17 million prescriptions of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in the UK each year. Two thirds are either ibuprofen or diclofenac. A third drug, naproxen, had lower risks of heart complications in the study and some doctors are prescribing this to higher-risk patients. The drug does a similar job to aspirin by stopping the blood from clotting although this also increases the odds of a stomach bleed. Prof Alan Silman, medical director of Arthritis Research UK, said the drugs were a "lifeline" for millions of people with arthritis and were "extremely effective in relieving pain". He added: "However, because of their potential side-effects, in particular the increased risk of cardiovascular complications which has been known for a number of years, there is an urgent need to find alternatives that are as effective, but safer." Prof Donald Singer, member of the British Pharmacological Society and from the University of Warwick, said: "The findings underscore a key point for patients and prescribers - powerful drugs may have serious harmful effects. "It is therefore important for prescribers to take into account these risks and ensure patients are fully informed about the medicines they are taking." http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/health-22694858 |
amAZEing: wetin concern Android with African Development Bank _A.D.B.?Hahaha its Android Debug Bridge friend |
ocelot2006: They are still special ops units that carry out pretty much the same operations like military units and other black Ops outfit like the CIA's Special Ctivities Division/SOG and NSA's Greyfox. And some more. Now that's the right combination. Those spetsnaz are cracked soviet troops likened to the American green berets. They allegedly enjoy pain. Men those guys no go funny for close quarter combat o! |
LBT: Russia is far ahead of america and other countries in respect of rocket/missile technology e.g they have the fastest missile in the world, the father of all bombs(the most powerful non nuclear bomb the world have ever seen) its as powerful has the atomic bomb america dropped on japan if not stronger. They have single ships that can destroy almost all american ship by just firing its weapons alone etc. Forget all the western propaganda. Russia lost 14,000 men while afgan lost Over 1m men in 14yrs war in afgan with russian troops fighting all over afgan and afgans supported by america and the west.Pls Speak with facts friend |
anisylva: Isreal is the world's largets exporter of unmaned aerial vehicles (Drones) and the world leader in that area of military tech. - jane's fighting machines 2012 report. It's the ability to deploy UAV's not the ability to produce that am talking about. |
That story of the CIA operative is too cheap to believe even the contents of the letter revealed to the press can't even be used by a police CID officer. |
anisylva: Pls do more research. The isreali sayeret maktal for example developes battle techniques by studying evrything in nature from how wolf packs hunt to ant colonies taking down large preys and transfer this skills to the us navy special warfare center. The SEALs dnt evn use an american rifle for most ops, instead they use an enhanced german built HK45 and an Isreali conner-shot device. I am well informed on the abottabad raid but are you informed on the 1977 mogadishu raid by the german GSG9 which lasted only 7 mins? In international counter-terrorism circles aircraft raids are recognised as the most difficult op a commando squad can encounter and the GSG9 and the SAYERET MATKAL are heavily involved in developing and testing methods and techniques for this type of ops and others. The GSG9 for example has completed 1500 missions between 1977 and today fireing their weapon only 5 times! Point is - there are teams which are on par with the us navy seals, they jst dont make noise abt it.Ya I agree with you but being the best has to do with training and equipment which I would say America has. I hope you know that these countries make use of American, military satellites while others make use of Russia's own America is also recorded as the only country able to deploy UAV's popularly known as drones any where in the world. |
solomon111: There are already plans for Nigeria to get a few submarines in the next 6-7 years.Against bokoharam planes right? cool4ny: Embarrassed the CIA? r u joking? do u believe that story, plsssss even Nigeria cant be that daft to employ an agent in wig. Not even a woman's wig, a colorful one.I myself till date failed to believe that story. I tried to make myself believe that but my brain just wouldn't accept it. |
ocelot2006: Yeah......tell that to the Russian FSB Alpha and Vympel (Vega group). They make the Nvy Seals (a Tier 2 special ops group by the way) look like choir boys.Alpha and vympel aren't military, they are under clandestine ops for the intelligence agency; the russian FSB. The CIA n NIA alongside the MOSSAD have such groups which they use for clandestine ops all over the world. SEALS are military. |
shymexx: Lmao...Assuming that the russian KGB survived till date they would have been the best spies in the world |
shymexx: Lmao...My brother you are on point |
