andyanders: Our problems in this part of the world called Nigeria, is that our leaders bark but don't bite. I have stated here many times, that our problems here in Nigeria are the Lebanese community. They are the source of high profile crime network here in Nigeria. They get involved in money laundering whereby most of our government officials use them as conduit for money laundering and most Housa bureau de change. use them for international conduit for money laundering across the globe.
Let the Lebanese community be thrown out of Nigeria, just like what the Late Idiamin of Uganda did to them during his reign.
and where did it land idi and his broke ugandan government?
a dog that has no teeth can only manage to bark but cant bite.

Originalsly: Very well...at least somebody is not ready to swallow everything put before them. I'm sure almost everybody that goes to the top of the Sheraton Hotel would take video or pics of the view from there. This means they can also be charged for unlawful Surveillance and plotting to commit terrorist acts.Even so...were they planning air raids? Those who are so quick to condemn the Lebanese need to think twice. If they are convicted then the door is open for the FG to lay the charges on its own citizens. Also if convicted then Nigeria would be labeled a terrorist state which is reason enough for invasion.
and which idle country or superpower is ready in this 21st century to invade nigeria with all her confusingly complicated problems? even the brits if given a second chance wouldnt dare colonize nigeria

Crime › Nigerian Bus Driver Kills Infant Girl In West New York by calddon(op): 12:57am On Aug 01, 2013
Crashed WNY bus
By SaharaReporters, New York
In a freak accident, a Nigerian bus
driver said to be using his cell phone,
lost control of the vehicle which hit and
knocked over a lamp post that fell on
and killed an 8 month old baby girl.
The driver, Idowu Daramola, 48, was
driving in West New York, New
Jersey, on Tuesday afternoon when the
tragic incident occured. He was charged
with reckless driving, using a cellphone
while driving and death by auto.
Authorities in West New York said the
bus crashed into a lamppost, which fell
onto a baby stroller. The bus then hit a
tree, another lamppost and a parked
car, which struck three other parked
vehicles.
Officer Michael Stetson says he found
the infant, Angela Paredes, bleeding
from the head and not breathing. She
died on the way to a hospital. Seven
other people were hurt in the incident.
The bus was reportedly operated by
Sphinx Transportation, which provides
shuttle service between New Jersey and
New York City. The company has not
commented on the accident.
"I heard a loud crash and people
screaming," said Iris Pizarro, who lives
in an apartment building across the
street. "That's when I ran to the
window and saw the mother over the
baby screaming, "My daughter! My
baby!"
Daramola, who resides in Thornwood,
NY, could face 10 years in prison if
convicted of all the charges. He is
scheduled to appear in court on
Thursday and is being held on
$250,000 bail.
It is not uncommon to see shuttle
drivers, mostly immigrants, talking on
cellphones as they drive although it has
been a violation of state law since
2007. It was not known at press time
whether Daramola was texting or talking
on his cell when the tragedy occured.

Maxymilliano: I don't see how it'll be sabotaged at this point, the current approach by the government is phased and there's already glut in cement production.

Few months ago, Dangote cement crashed the ex-factory price of a 50-kg bag of the product from N1,500 to N1,350. A step taken by the company after the directive issued by President Goodluck Jonathan in May which forced cement stakeholders to work together to bring down the price of the commodity.

From the same news I read in This Day Newspaper,
The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Olusegun Aganga, has said rather than targeting on price reduction in cement, which he said, would not go a long way before it crashes, the federal government is targeting production and availability of the product to force the price down forever.
pls sir i couldnt get what you are trying to say cos i bought cement yesterday at 1650 naira, abi nigerian government want put cement subsidy?

Health › Re: Habits That Wrecks Your Teeth by calddon(m): 10:14pm On Jul 28, 2013
demmy55: There are certain things we do on a regular basis which cause havoc to our teeth. These habits may be intentional or unintentional. They include:

Chewing on Ice
It’s natural and sugar free, so you might think ice is harmless. But munching on hard, frozen cubes can chip or even crack your teeth. And if your mindless chomping irritates the soft tissue inside a tooth, regular toothaches may follow. Hot foods and cold foods may trigger quick, sharp jabs of pain or a lingering toothache. Next time you get the urge for ice, chew some sugarless gum instead.

Playing Sports with No Mouth Guard
Whether you play football, hockey, or any other contact sport, don't get in the game without a mouth guard. This is a piece of molded plastic that protects the upper row of teeth. Without it, your teeth could get chipped or even knocked out when the action gets rough. Self-fitting mouth guards may be purchased at a store, or you can have one custom made by your dentist.

Bedtime Bottles
It’s never too early to protect teeth. Giving a baby a bedtime bottle of juice, milk, or formula, can put new teeth on a path to decay. The baby may become used to falling asleep with the bottle in his or her mouth, bathing the teeth in sugars overnight. It's best to keep bottles out of the crib.

Tongue Piercings
Tongue piercings may be trendy, but biting down on the metal stud can crack a tooth. Lip piercings pose a similar risk. And when metal rubs against the gums, it can cause gum damage that may lead to tooth loss. The mouth is also a haven for bacteria, so piercings raise the risk of infections and sores. Bottom line, discuss the health risks with your dentist first.

Grinding Teeth
Teeth grinding, or bruxism, can wear teeth down over time. It is most often caused by stress and sleeping habits. This makes it hard to control. Avoiding hard foods during the day can reduce pain and damage from this habit. Wearing a mouth guard at night can prevent grinding while sleeping.

Soda
Candy isn't the only culprit when it comes to added sugar. Sodas can have up to 11 teaspoons of sugar per serving. To add insult to injury, sodas also contain phosphoric and citric acids, which eat away at tooth enamel. Diet soft drinks let you skip the sugar, but they may have even more acid in the form of the artificial sweeteners.

Opening Stuff with Your Teeth
Opening bottle caps or plastic packaging with your teeth may be convenient, but this is one habit that makes dentists cringe. Using your teeth as tools can cause them to crack or chip. Instead, keep scissors and bottle openers handy. Bottom line, your teeth should only be used for eating.

Sports Drinks
There's no doubt a cold sports drink is refreshing after a good workout. But these drinks are usually high in sugar. Like soda or candy, sugary sports drinks create an acid attack on the enamel of your teeth. Drinking them frequently can lead to decay. A better way to stay hydrated at the gym is to chug sugar-free, calorie-free water.

Chewing on Pencils
Do you ever chew on your pencil when concentrating on work or studies? Like crunching on ice, this habit can cause teeth to chip or crack. Sugarless gum is a better option when you feel the need to chew. It will trigger the flow of saliva, which can make teeth stronger and protect against enamel-eating acids.

Drinking Coffee
Coffee's dark color and acidity can cause yellowing of the teeth over time. Fortunately, it's one of the easiest stains to treat with various whitening methods. Talk to your dentist if you're concerned about discoloration of your teeth.

Smoking
Cigarettes, as well as other tobacco products, can stain teeth and cause them to fall out as a result of gum disease. Tobacco can also cause cancer of the mouth, lips, and tongue. If you were looking for one more reason to quit, think of your smile.

Drinking Red Wine
The acids in wine eat away at tooth enamel, creating rough spots that make teeth more vulnerable to staining. Red wine also contains a deep pigment called chromogen and tannins, which help the color stick to the teeth. This combination makes it easy for the wine's red color to stay with you long after your glass is empty.

In essence, making any of these a habit can be harmful to our teeth.
