This insurgency is more political than ideological. Have you wondered why the spate of attacks has increased since Jonathan's declaration of interest in the 2015 race? There is an uncanning and persistent attempt to discredit his leadership. Unfortunately the old foool is too dull and stupppid to sanitize the nation's security apparatus. His level of corruption is unprecedented. This guy Jonathan is not pretending, he is not scheming anything, he has no hidden solution or strategy with regards to our current problems in Nigeria. What he has done in the last four years is exactly what he will reproduce in a lifetime. The guy is downright clueless! How can you sensibly explain this recurrent embarassment of our gallant military personel. You want to blame that on the opposition? You want to blame the low morale of our military and their old fashioned ammunition on the opposition? You think the opposition is responsible for our porous borders? You honestly believe the huge sums veted on security gets stolen by the opposition? Granted: terrorism is often difficult to quash, but no country has suffered such monumental embarassment of its military in open battle by riff raffs like boko haram. When Yar adua was president, boko haram felt the full weight of a well motivated nigerian army. They were defeated in one decisive swing in the week of 17th january 2009. It will be 2 years of silence before they rear their head again. If the tempo was maintained, boko haram would have been history. I know interests differ and some peeps would dump their votes for him again, they must however realise that even their fathers at home could better Nigeria's cause more than this clueless drunkard! |
AINATOLULOPE:Contaminated is a highly inappropriate word for humans. May be ebola victims are now considered inanimate. Ebola crisis would soon be over by the way. All the anxiety is fading, the human race is still resilient in its battle for supremacy with the microbial world |

All their 6 months allowee don enter voicemail be dat ooo! Chai, lawless society. Oppression of the poor, subjugation of the weak. And to think that you will need tons of money to prosecute this in court is demoralising for our low income work force. |
One Nigerian winger will score a superb solo goal in today's match! |

GAZZUZZ:thanks alot for the info. from ur post though, seems wagons are for family, not unmarried men like me? |
I presently have a Rover 620si. I have the option of safely swapping it for a peugeot 406 wagon. Just wondering if its fashionable for a young man like me to own a wagon? |

Honest suggestions are welcome. Thanks |
Lionel Messi is south american not european! |
JO-HATES-US Oya get ready to release your own circular for immediate strike action. FG is either too stupid to realise that will be next thing or they've conveniently chosen to let the rigmarole continue. You dont need to be a genius to realise a round table discussion is the way out. Meanwhile, doctors are making a hell of money in their private hospitals, JOHATESUS is fully in charge of government hospitals but patients are scared of going to hospitals without doctors. Isnt it obvious we need each other? |
POG007: . datguru: .why all the dots? |

These disparate associations united by their common hatred for doctors not the furtherance of health care in naija. One day this unhealthy union will be devastated by internal conflicts. What we need in naija is not unions imposing demands on the FG and Nigerians, rather a round table to discuss our peculiar situation in Nigeria and reach agreements on workable protocols for health care delivery. I remember once, NAFDAC wanted to insist that drugs especially anyibiotics be prescribed by doctors only before they are dispensed. While that is standard practice in many foreign countries, it would have been catastrophic in naija. We must stop insisting on borrowed practices in foreign countries. We all need to break ranks, drop our useless egos and complexes and discuss as normal human beings!!! |
hugafella: I strongly condemn the actions of the doctors. They go on strike these days far more than is good for comfort, without minding the human cost or loss of lives involved. These doctors are so heartless because they are already very highly paid. Our doctors have already become glorified mercenaries who just want the money at all costs. who else is as highly paid as they are? The doctors strikes every now and then has lost every sense of decency, morality, and public support and now borders on the ridiculous . Only in lawless Nigeria will doctors take laws into their own hands. We need to sack all of them and bring in foreigners if they continue to hold the country to ransom. After all, lawyers are far less paid but have never embarrassed themselves in this manner. Are lawyers not also professionals? Our Nigerian doctors should travel out and learn to stop over hyping themselves. Even ASUU is becoming envious of NMA striking pattern.stop displaying your ignorance. lawyers are presently on strike. its just that no one is making noise about it. |
soludo93: medical doctors are generally greedy. Most Nigeria doctors with their insignificant contributions to world health, always agitate for more money. contrary, that exposes the Hippocratic oath they sworn to save life.Doctors are insignificant yet you rant about the loss of lives during their strike. Does dat make sense? Why should any life be lost when we have able bodied competent and ever significant nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and cleaners runing the hospitals? As far you are concerned this doctors strike shouldnt change anything. But it changes alot and that worries you. Lots of patients are dying anf that borders you. This doctors might not be insignificant after all and nobody is insignificant. I work in a general hospital somewhr in the north. Initially my boss ordered a full strike and it was catastrophic. Nurses consult patients and outline treatments. They did their best. Every day they'll request i atleast come and review all the patients they admitted even though they are probably 30 years older than me in the service. Many times my input was crucial. In this rural community, everyone is refered to as doctor. However, the patients all request that i come and see them as soon as i show up, hoping something significant will be done regarding their management. The strike has never been about who is more important than the other. Stop displaying your inferiority complex |
Caleboha: Its a cult with fiercely manned territories. Join or die, leave and die. Remove the death penalty clause attached to membership of this deadly cult and more than half of them would no longer practice islam. |

why will lives be lost during the strike when we have competent nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and cleaners manning the hospitals? doctors are not indispensible. sooner or later, everyone will realise the single member of a health team totally commited to a patient's survival. |
