Igbo's want Biafra and you know that Igbo land stretched from umuezekohe in Benue down to Opobo in Rivers State.
Left for me, I don't want non Igbo speaking tribes in Biafra including Ikwerre( though they speak Igbo but denied their Igbo origin).

Regarding your question, I believe that Nigeria is a dead nation. We can only try to salvage it but it may be very hard to do that with zombified Northerners roaming around. The only solution may be to secede or make a bold move such as what you guys did yesterday. However, yesterday's move was not bold enough. We need to do something to make a more lasting impression that will force the international community to look into the plight of the Igbos and the SS.

My only bone of contention is that if the minorities in the SS and Igbos must secede, there should be a round-table discussion of terms. These things have to be discussed before the struggle even starts. If Igbos had officially invited minority leaders to discuss terms of coalition, no one would have the impetus to claim "We the SS" or say that Igbos are forcing SSners into Biafra. Sadly, such is the reality because many youths go around peddling projected maps where other people's territories are arbitrarily added.

There needs to be a serious conclave on the issues that plague our region so that SS and SE can see how to harmonise interests. We may not be fighting for Biafra as SSners, but we can join the Igbos to shake the FG so that while Igbos get Biafra, minorities can either choose to join Biafra, get their own independent nations or remain in the new Nigeria or whatever will be left of it.

It all boils down to dialogue with the SS and SE leaders and I expect SE leaders who are at the frontline of the agitation to extend this invitation to all minority groups, even those in the Middle Belt, so that we can all express our goals and harmonise interests even if our interests are dissimilar.

Pls with the exception of Edo, urohbo and itsekiri. These are edoid tribes and are big enough to form a country of their own if they wish.

2. What you need are hubs. These should be what the senators fight for. Ask these agencies to have offices in such area. Do you think people in Kogi find it easy to go get em in Lagos? Every Nigerian is marginalised hence why emotional blackmail wont work

3. Please go look at the path of the railway again. The SE is well included. That a senator is dumb and not study it is not my fault.

As for the 5% statement, he said as a human being he might be tempted to give those who gave him 97% vote more attention than those who gave him 5% BUT because we have a constitution, he has to follow that constitution

On the railway, they are talking only about the western corridor that will pass through the major towns in northwest and southwest with a branch route to Onitsha. Why didn't it they deem it fit to carry the eastern corridor that will pass all the major towns in the east along is the question because we are all going to pay for the project.

Finally, Biafra actualization does not anyway affect Yoruba land. I don't know why you people are against Biafra. The only thing my colleague told me is that west has no gas to power their industrial estates. Nothing stops west from buying gas from the east just like eastern/western Europe are buying from Russia.

There is no sit at home in PH or anywhere around Rivers state. Information I get on ground is people going about normal businesses.

Banks are in operation, schools are opened, offices are opened for business etc.

In fact, they had the opportunity much more than any group in the East ever did. Igbos were very domineering, and that was why there were resentments from the Eastern Ijaws and Ogonis.

In the Western Region, minorities had a say in the house and were allowed to express that right. The Western Region was the first to ratify the Willink's commission report and started the processes towards the creation of the Mid-Western State. To crown it all, when the Mid-West was created, we made an Enuani-Igbo, Osita Osadebay as our premier. Something that I know Igbos would never do for any other group then.

In 1951, the configurations were different than from 1960. I can also give you a list of more than 5 Midwesterners that were leaders of the Western Region in the colonial period.

You have shifted the post to post colonial era that regions lasted only for some years. In this case, there is no argument.

Groups naturally want autonomy from one another. Even after we got the Midwestern State, we still agitated for Delta State. When we got Delta State, Aniomas started agitating for Anioma State. Agitations will never end as long as there are interests.


Secondly, no Efik was in charge of the Eastern Region. Philip Effiong, an Ibibio, was the de facto president of Biafra ONLY because Ojukwu absconded at the last minute. Don't act like he was voted in or something.

The Eastern regional government was so so oppressive, At least in the West before breakup, the Western minorities even had voice.

We all know what is playing out here. Whenever these Igbos feel they are in a situation whereby they can't compete nationally with the Yorubas and hausas they turn around and look towards their own version of mini Nigeria aka "Biafra" where they can lord over the minorities over there with no one to challenge them . It is what has been playing out again since they lost the election in 2015 and felt their national interests have once again taken the back seat behind that of the Hausas and Yorubas.

Eastern region was oppressive yet the developments in old eastern region were even. In terms of education, University of Nigeria Nsukka had its satellite campus at calabar now University of Calabar. The two industrial estates established in old eastern region are in the present south south geopolitical zone none in Igbo .Okpara Michael built presidential hotel, one in portharcourt and the other in Enugu. Okpara built delta north hotel, one in portharcourt and the other in calabar.

The reverse is the case in the old western region. I challenge you to Tell us what present delta, Edo, Ogun, osun, ondo, and Ekiti states benefited from old western region.

Please, Tell us the important and influential position held by non Yoruba speaking natives in the old western region. I will name more than 10 position held by anang, Ibibio, ogoja, ijaw and among others in the old eastern region and Republic of Biafra.

Finally, I challenge you to state in clear terms how old eastern region oppressed the non Igbo speaking natives.

The Senate Deputy President, Ike Ekweremadu has favored the restructuring of Nigeria over the agitation for the republic of Biafra.

He urged the Federal Government to seek and sustain peace in all parts of the country through equity, justice, and fairness as “a man that is unjustly treated will never be interested in peace”.

“The rights of Ndigbo to peaceful and democratic engagements must be respected. Those who try to muffle and subdue democratic engagements by citizens are only playing into the hands of anarchists.

“Importantly, the marginalisation meted out to Ndigbo in appointments, especially in the commanding heights of the security sector is unacceptable; and must be redressed”.

The deputy senate president only advised the Igbo nation against armed struggle and nothing else against Biafra was said from what I read.
