Weekly Update: Nairaland FA Cup and Bongo FA Cup tables after GW29 Resurgence begins next Gameweek!
|
Press Release: Hojuholape FC Good morning ladies and gentlemen of the press. We, the management of Hojuholape FC will try to keep this brief. It is with deep and profound reflection that we announce the departure of our now erstwhile manager because of the realisation that what brought us here is not sustainable to keep us here and announce the appointment of a more experienced serial winner as a manager to oversee the closing stages of the season. We also hope we have done enough to keep the thread lively and fulfill the participation quota for continued participation in the FA Cup due to inevitable diminishing presence in discussions on the thread for the foreseeable future or at least till the end of May. Lastly, the hoarding of chips is a strategic positioning with the shift of focus on the FA Cup with the League and overall rank being the opportunity cost of this particular strategy and may God save whoever is unfortunate to play us in GW36-38. We round this up by calling for calmer heads to prevail amongst our supporters and well wishers while advising our adversaries to be afraid... Be very afraid! Thank you for your attention on this matter. God bless!

If this man is your course rep during your uni days, just be prepared to carry the course over. What do you have against facing people at full strength and always favouring hoarding of information? ![]() Ibime: |
Tshabalala my G, you know I got much love for you but a man got to do what he got to do to make the playoffs. ![]()

Done.... Good luck with the project. |
To whomever it may concern: When this particular post was made, the quoted manager was in number 14th position...... It is my utmost pleasure to announce that by the special grace of God and in his divine infinite mercies which we mere mortals are not supposed to question nor query, the quoted manager is in the form of his life and now presently in the 16th position. ![]() Emaprince:

Your maths is wrong though. Your opp will get 51+ Wilson 10 + Pedro cap pts 2 + Gabriel bonus pts 3 + Fernandes 3 = 69pts You will get 49 + Fernandes cap pts 16 + Raya 3 + Calvin 2 = 70 pts You win 70-69 iykmora: |
This man don pay Arteta to sub off my Rice Good game, sha avoid me in GW36-38. This is not a threat but a lifesaving warning 🤝🫵 Ibime: |

I thought you said you are going on a winning run or something because of your lucky win last GW. When all is said and done this GW, one of us will still be in the playoffs positions while the other will be languishing somewhere between 14th and 16th position. I will leave you to figure out who is who from the above scenario ![]() Emaprince: |
Saliba '23 asst Rice, Rice 45' asst Saliba, Rice 77' asst Saliba They don't know what we planning. ![]()

Walahi you are very lucky Sir, many people are in remand till date for less and na man you be I won't lie. What you did require balls of steel and whatever length you go to get your pound of flesh, I can't fault you. Qhalifah: |
This is now a street matter, whether it will be resolved on Nairaland street or the other street, it is up to the buyer. As far as the Nigerian Police Force is concerned, the culprit has been apprehended and has made reparations to the victim of the theft, did you read all what the buyer said he was made to buy to close the case? Nothing concern me with the ethical aspect of the transaction, rule of thumb on the street is buying a secondhand phone carry the inherent risk of this kind of unsavoury situation. Thank God the case is not more complicated than this and didn't involve capital crimes (kidnapping, murder etc) during the commission of the theft. Let us discuss how the seller will get back the money he spent biko. Mrsoft3: |
Pragmatism is not for everybody as you just proved with this emotional outburst of yours. How will the buyer get compensated for his troubles closing the police case which he knows nothing about is the next course of action. iamoyindamola: |
Let us be pragmatic. Nobody in his position whether guilty or not, will willingly walk into the police station for this kind of stuff. The buyer has already closed the case with the police, even if the seller goes to the station, he will be out in less than two hours depending on how fast he can come up with 50k bail or less because as far as the police are concerned, this is now a closed case since the buyer has already done the needful to compensate the victim of the theft. What is left now should be how to compensate the buyer for the expenses incurred in the closure of the theft case. Let's be pragmatic once again. iamoyindamola: |
That is why you don't jump on every new show bandwagon. What I do nowadays is wait for the second season of premium shows to start airing to see if the reviews stay the same, then I join if they maintain status quo. That is how you can avoid wasting your time with shows like Pluribus and co. ![]() cColumbus: |

MAEKAR'S WEEK FROM HELL; THE WEEK THAT AGED MAEKAR TARGARYEN ONE LIFETIME...because when Targaryens go on a family vacation the gods sharpen their knives. Day 1 – Arrives at Ashford Meadow for a 13-year-old girl’s birthday tournament to immediately find two sons missing. Stress level: Mildly twitchy. Day 2 – Rides all day to the next town searching for his missing sons, finds one, and discovers the other is lost. Stress level: Apocalyptic with existential dread. Day 3 – Returns to Ashford to discover the kid he left behind has absolutely nuked the tournament, bad vibes everywhere. Plot twist: the missing child he has been turning the road inside out searching for has been at Ashford the whole time, and squiring for none other than the same hedge knight his oldest son has accused of kidnapping and the other son beefing with. He also has to fight seven men to the death in the morning. Stress level: Beyond mortal comprehension. Day 4 – Dawn at Ashford Meadow (Trial by Seven) Baelor joins Ser Duncan’s side, and he has to fight his own brother too. Accidentally wounds his brother while saving his cruel son. Result: dead heir, gravely wounded son and a lifetime of guilt. Stress level: His blood pressure backflips internally. Day 5 – Attends Baelor funeral AKA “the roast,” amidst accusatory looks and whispers: “Did he mean to kill him?” Later he has to stop his son from offing his other son. Stress level: Existential parenting meltdown detonates silently inside. Day 6 – Aegon has run away, AGAIN! He has to return to his father’s court to explain how a birthday produces a dead heir, wounded princelings, injured Kingsguards, and a twice-runaway youngest son. Stress level: Controlled devastation with suppressed screaming. By this time he is spiritually concussed. Every time poor dude thinks the gods are done, they flip the page and say, “No, keep reading.” His week is basically: 'The Titanic hits an iceberg, then crashes into a train wreck which is on fire during an earthquake.' #copied ![]()
