joseph1832: Everything, as it relates to Rhonda Bryne, revolves round The Secret and The Law of Attraction. I know, I thought the power wud be something different from the law of attraction, but it seemed like twas saying d same thing but a from perspective. |

GSKing: Well, I needed Joy of Motherhood for one of the crucial examinations in Nigeria some years back, read the beginning, didn't like how she berated herself about being barren, and how others stigamtized her(not their fault, I know, that's their indoctrination, I get it)... I read up to the point where someone caught her breastfeeding another's suckling, and she took off, running to a bridge, contemplating somersaulting into the water as she ran... I just slammed the book shut! I was fed up with the whole standards, judgments, norms and cultural demands of a woman... I closed the book at that point where she was running, picked up Essential Literature textbook, read the summary, wrote the exam and passed. Who get time abeg? I'm known to always read depressing books halfway and dumping it somewhere for the next interested candidate Lol.... Funny u, Uhm the more I read, the more intrigued I got in wanting to know how it ended, try finish one of dem depressing books sometimes, I bet you wud love it, tho it might emotionally cripple you for some days, but it wud be worth it...... 1 Like |
