Politics › Nigerians May Stone Us If We Present President Buhari In 2019 – APC Group by CampuChan(op): 8:24pm On Oct 29, 2017 |
Some members of the defunct Congress For Progressive Change (CPC) from the 17 southern states of Nigeria, weekend said fielding President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 Presidential poll will incur them the wrath of Nigerians and cost the ruling APC the election.
The group, which spoke under the auspices of Southern Mandate of Nigeria (SMN), said Nigerians may stone APC members at campaign grounds, if Buhari is presented as their candidate.
National Coordinator of the the group, Comrade Francis Ikonomwan, in a statement made available to journalists in Benin, Edo state, described the call by members of Buhari Support Group on President Mohammadu Buhari to contest the 2019 election as “political sycophancy.”
He described members of the Buhari Support Group as a “bunch of people who do not mean well for APC and Nigerians at large, but rather, their selfish interests.”
Ikonomwan who noted that President Buhari has failed to deliver on his campaign promises and so Nigerians can no longer entrust him with the leadership of the country, urged him to ignore such calls, adding that it is not in the interest of the nation.
“We are saddened that, these people are not sensitive to the plight of Nigerians. The fact remains that Nigerians are not happy with President Muhammadu Buhari and our party. the APC.

Politics › IGP Finally Says - I Gave Two Cars To Aisha Buhari by CampuChan(op): 9:28am On Oct 27, 2017 |
The Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, said on Thursday that he released two cars for the security of the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha, and not for her personal use as alleged by the lawmaker representing the Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Senator Isa Misau.
Idris, who spoke through the police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood, said he released a Toyota Sienna and Hiace bus to the aide-de-camp to the wife of the President, and not to the President’s wife.
A statement signed by Moshood on Thursday, read, “It is within the powers of the IG as stated above that when on January 17, 2017, SP Sani Baba-Inna, the ADC to the wife of the President requested two vehicles for police personnel for convoy movement and security purposes, two vehicles, Toyota Sienna Bus with Reg. No. NPF 2406D and Toyota Hiace Bus with Reg. No. NPF 3363D, were approved by the Inspector-General of Police to the ADC, wife of the President, SP Sani Baba-Inna, for the purposes requested and not to the person of the wife of the President or for her personal use as alleged by Misau.”

Politics › Aisha Buhari Reacts To 2 SUVs Gifts From IGP: I Am Still Using My Personal Cars by CampuChan(op): 12:14pm On Oct 26, 2017 |
It is strange she did not deny the cars only that she still used her other cars. Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari has denied a claim by Senator Isa Misau that the Inspector-General of Police bought two SUVs for her.
Misau while speaking to a committee investigating his accusations against the police boss said he has documents which disclosed that Mrs. Buhari requested for vehicles from Idris.
He said, “I still have some contract papers that the IG himself submitted to the court, where the First Lady through her aide-de-camp requested a Toyota Hiace and a Sienna jeep. The same day that the ADC wrote, the IG minuted that she should be given two jeeps. And it is not part of the appropriation. If you look at the appropriation, there is nowhere they said the First Lady should be given two jeeps.”
While reacting to the claim, the wife of the President on Thursday denied any such thing . https://ynaija.com/i-still-using-personal-cars-aisha-buhari-denies-suv-gift-police-ig/?utm_source=NNDTW&utm_medium=twitterhttps://mobile.twitter.com/naijcom/status/923476030739832833

Christianity Etc › Plot To Kill Oyedepo And Pastor Suleman Exposed by CampuChan(op): 9:42am On Sep 28, 2017 |
These people won't succeed IJN, Amen A sinister plot by Islamist elements in the Muhammadu Buhari regime to clamp down on leading Christian leaders has come to light following a leak at the highest level of Aso Rock.
According to our reliable source who spoke with The Trent, a Christian cleric with links in the Buhari regime, there is a plan within the security circles in the country to plant arms and ammunition in properties belonging to two top Christian clerics in Nigeria after which they would be arrested and accused of sponsoring terrorism.
Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church based in Ota, Ogun State and Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministries based in Auchi, Edo State are said to be the two clerics which the junta within the Buhari regime plan to target, our source revealed. The two Christian leaders, for several years, have been vocal against the Islamisation plot of the Jihadist in Nigeria. Videos of Bishop Oyedepo leading his congregation at Canaanland in prayers against Islamist and terrorists have gone viral in recent months.
Also, Apostle Suleman’s fiery messages against fundamentalist elements in government like Nasir El Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, and Fulani herdsmen have also attracted the attention of the security agencies under the command of President Muhammadu Buhari.
In January 2017, an attempt to abduct Apostle Suleman in the middle of the night by the country’s secret police, the State Security Services, SSS, also known as DSS, was foiled by Governor Ayodele Fayose. The minister was in Ado Ekiti that day for a Christian programme.

zoedew: But the audacity and staying power is further enhanced when a Defence Force is not sufficiently well-projected. That's one reason you have supposedly "joint exercises" by NATO with South Korean and milparades by North Korea. Much of war is psychological. I doubt any IPOB member will ever again attempt to disarm a Nigerian soldier whether male or family now that it has been shown clearly what the result is certain to be. Reverse would be the case. Ipob would now probably up their game by engaging in guerilla warfare and my earlier submission remains valid. How come the killing of bokoharam leader had opposite psychological effect? The public killing of Yusuf in a police station sparked daredevil militancy in bokoharam movement. The killing rather than weaken their spirit, ignited a wave of support unseen in Nigerian history. |

texazzpete: Nah. Boko Haram could do this because - for the most part - their struggle is ideological and driven by religion.
Niger Delta militants were largely driven by abundant opportunities to bunker oil. Pl us they had their finger on the lifeblood of the nation, giving them massive leverage.
IPOB doesn't have the ability to drastically impair oil exports. The Biafra struggle for many does not run anywhere near as deep as the Boko Haram credo, and they can count on far smaller levels of support. All they'll succeed in doing is to prevent any sane investor from investing in the region.
It'll be interesting to see where IPOB goes from here... This is childish, just proved you're not a student of history. Beliefs and Passion is what drives and sustain political movements like Ipob. Are the members passionate? Do the members believe in the cause of their struggle? The above were what made bokoharam and Delta militants formidable. |

Politics › Ezekwesili Warns Buhari: Do Not Alienate Entire Igbo by CampuChan(op): 9:49am On Sep 14, 2017 |
Oby Ezekwesili, former minister of education, has warned President Muhammadu Buhari to avoid making the mistake of ostracising the entire Igbo ethnic group over the agitations of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Reacting to the military’s Operation Python Dance in the south-east region and the present state of unease in Abia, Ezekwesili said Buhari as a leader “must build a bond” with all his people. She said all the people in the north can’t be categorised as Boko Haram insurgents, and as such, the people of the south-east do not deserve to be treated as “incendiary agitators”. Ezekwesili, co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls group, said it is unbecoming of a leader to “send signals” that he abhors a group of people under his leadership. In a series of tweets directed at Buhari, she said: “Do not alienate the entire Igbo ethnic group cos of a few that govt can use appropriate mechanisms to respond to any misconduct. “All people of north-east Nigeria are not equal to Boko Haram. All people of south-east Nigeria cannot be equal to incendiary agitators. “The leader of a country cannot be friends only of those he/she likes. No. That is not leadership. The leader builds up groups. Not divide. “You cannot lead only those that worship and swear by you. You are the leader. You must carry the burden even of those that detest you. “It the lowliest form of churlishness that is unbecoming of a leader to send signals that you dislike anyone of the groups you lead. “A real leader does not suffer from the destructive disease of ethnic prejudice. It endangers his/her people & real leaders cannot bear such.” https://www.thecable.ng/not-alienate-entire-igbo-ezekwesili-warns-buhari

Reno Omokri has blamed Buhari for the situation with Nnamdi Kanu stating that it was the President who made the IPOB leader a celebrity by arresting him. The former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on new media stated that before Kanu’s arrest he was a nobody but due to the arrest grew in popularity. Speaking in a Facebook live video, Omokri said; “President Muhammadu Buhari actually created this mess, did you know who Nnamdi Kanu was before President Muhammadu Buhari had him arrested? He was a nobody and I don’t mean that in a disrespectful manner, you IPOB people you are very good with the media. Don’t come after me, I don’t mean that in a bad way. “Until he was arrested by Muhammadu Buhari he was a nobody, the president actually created Nnamdi Kanu, made him a celebrity and gave him the power he has right now. http://www.herald.ng/buhari-actually-created-nnamdi-kanu-reno-omokri/
