Even Nigerian Soldiers believe in it! grin

I was there once when a soldier was supposed to get an injection... He laughed and said, 'oga e no go enter!'

Then he mentioned one village somewhere in Oyo, ' na dia my Godfather carry me go do am'

When they start regaling their war stories, your mouth will open.

Why it works for some and not for others I don't know, but I have seen some one slashed with a cutlass and nothing happened!
That’s why it is anecdotal and to be taken with a grain of salt. When I was younger I also totally believed those Nzeogwu turned into fly and Indian football stories and repeated them like I was there. 99.9% of people who repeat these stories were not there. U can only deduce that they likely never happened as told. If u have juju that can make u invisible or bulletproof, conventional warfare would no longer be possible- and neither would banking by the way!

Amazing how people’s brains stop working once juju is mentioned. SO WHY DONT THE GOVT CONER IT SO THERE ARE NO MORE KILLING OF POLICEMEN AND SOLDIERShuh
Happens everywhere, all the time. Guns jam. People point and shoot a person and instead someone else is hit. Very easy to prove bulletproof juju. Simple, fortify yourself and have scientists shoot u in a lab. If nothing happens, case closed. Existence of bulletproof juju is forever established

Have you heard about this town Jesse close to sapele? Go there and watch with your eyes,

If by 'strong' meditation, Qigong practitioners become protected from spear and knife attacks, anything can happen.

I have seen it once myself-- in secondary school. A class mate was attacked with a cutlass and nothing happened.

His arm just swelled up and went down again
Notice u said meditation. With faith anything is possible. There is some logic to it. Not that someone said some words on female panties and suddenly u r bulletproof

Canada dear, I really do not think it's cool or ideal to inform ones cult members of ones renunciation. It's just like the case we started handling yesterday, we told him not to inform his members. First thing first is to deal with it spiritually before facing the physical. Of cos there are spiritual implications of all he did. So we have to deal with it spiritually first remember the spiritual controls the physical and there is no distant in the spiritual. So we tackle that aspect first. Now as we carry on with the spiritual of cos there will no more going for cult meetings or hits which buttress (shey d english correct sha) down to the physical exercise. Charms, weapons and whatever idols or items that symbolize the cult will be destroyed even down to regalia and other clothing associated. Sim cards and contacts will be destroyed too and of cos there will be change of environment as in relocation. The journey isn't always a easy one, usually rough but at the end, God will help them. They triumph. Just like someone who checks into rehab for drug or so, it's not always an easy journey for them but at the end of it all, they conquer.
Very well answered. Though I think u lied about one thing: there is no way u didn’t go beyond secondary school cheesy

Well quitting comes with a personal conviction. Sometimes shouting say no to cultism might not be enough to stop them not until they have the personal conviction to quit. While some will have to go through the wilderness before they quit. Just like this person u mentioned, the wilderness is him getting arrested and put in jail. While in jail, he begins to think back all the atrocities committed and starts to regret his actions. He becomes remorseful and only wish for a second chance to correct his mistakes again. When people like that comes out, they become a better person and use their own experience to teach others. If some people don't go through the wilderness experience (jail, loose body parts or escape death and all) they won't have the conviction to quit. You know there are some people that will wait till the trumpet sound before they give their life to Christ. Jesus forgive me Jesus forgive me that's when they see that rapture has taken place lols
Thanks 4 your erudite response. I too believe there is something in that name Jesus that somehow checkmates dark things like these

Wrong. All imports become part of local economy.
Imports are affected by exchange rate which therefore affects local economy

The Government through the CBN keeps it there by selling dollars at an artificially low price. Like a yam farmer who sells yams to friends and family far below the market price ust to curry favours and maintain 'peace'. He is destined fir bankruptcy as long as his family continues to grow. The solution is either to increase yam cultivation, stop procreating or get a higher earning profession.

Since we are stuck on 2 million barrels or so, our population continues to gallop and we can't seem to diversify quick enough but remain addicted to cheap yams, bankruptcy is a sure bet. Fitch is only giving us a snspshot of where we are and where we will be the rest of this year.
That cannot be the only reason. Here is why:

Even though CBN was propping up the naira all these years rates kept going up and there was this huge and constantly widening disparity between black market and official rates. Then all of a sudden it all disappeared and has stayed so ever since. Since 2017 it has stayed at about 360=1 without any commensurate increase in money from CBN.

The dollar is so popular because it's the world's reserve currency . World leaders gave it that status at the 1944 Bretton Woods Agreement . i read from Robert Kiyosaki's book "conspiracy of the rich" that that's the only reason the US has remain great today, they can simply print paper and exchange it with anything in the world. and that recently China has been trying to get out of the Agreement.
Gave it that status based on what? That’s the question.
Besides u r wrong. There is no agreement. USA withdrew from Brentwood 50 years ago.

It's about supplying enough forex to supplement demand. $210 million doesn't cover it. It was 36 billion last year. Heres an article about it.

The black market stays steady because of supply and demand. Its the same reason other currency dont values dont radically change day to day.
U seem to know your stuff.
Thanks 4 bringing that site to my awareness. It is a good site to know.
Question still remains though: Since the naira loses so much value each year compared the dollar, why would anyone store money in naira

CBN inject money to into Forex market to protect currency from devaluation. That money comes from foreign reserves Nigeria earns through exports from oil. Recently CBN injected 210 million dollars to defend naira.
(BTW US inflation is at 1.9% according to Google)
We are talking a difference of 9%. That’s 9% of trillions of dollars. How can $210 compensate for that?
Also how come the black market also stays steady?!

Congrats CanadaOrBust 4 this your glorious FTC!

My question is, if Naija inflation is 11% and US is 1.9%, what keeps the exchange rate steady at $1=N360?
And why would anyone store their money in naira??

Can someone also explain why a piece of paper that costs 10 cents to print in US is worth $100 in Naija?

I decided to wait for my main account to be unbanned before responding to you. Truth is this thread has been so educative to me. It's an eye opener. I have never heard of most of these terms used on this thread not until I started reading and I learnt a lot from it. I am not a cultist, I have never been one and I will never be one. I have always been a muslim before I gave my life to Jesus. I have never met or known any cultist before just like when I said I had no idea of the female version. I had only always believed or known the Ogboni, those who go into the secret societies for bloody wealth and of cos witchcraft, Emere of which these ones mentioned do not go about cutting heads or shooting here and there.

Yes you are right to say I'm hot temper but trust me it's just on this forum and that's because there are lots of trolls abi how dem dey talk the english here who wouldn't mind sending a person back to ones ancestors. Those who took out time to speak to me gets surprised that I'm not what they imagined of me. To the glory of God, I've met and assisted some nairalander struggling with one situation or the other. Persons I do not know and from different places across the states. I derive joy when I see them walk out of these situations whole again even up till yesterday my joy knew no bound for a nairalander. I think people think of me as this and that at first because I'm this type of person that love being on guard and won't hesitate to fight back when my space is being encroached on. I'm an extrovert, my personality might not sit well with the introverts that's why some people on Nairaland think I'm troublesome lols. I'm very very expressive and don't sulk but rather deal with every situations head on. Sorry I can't be bent...

Let me clear the air again. I am not here to come after anybody. I've had a good laugh here on the comments about me. Some called me to ask questions. I have been a nairalander for years. A silent reader not until I had the opportunity to register last year. I've made good friends here online though.

Now my account was banned and while reading this thread my eyes got opened, I began to think of many out there who might be trapped. So who is that BEAST, that DEMON, that FILTHY thing, that ILLEGAL CITIZEN wey no get kpali for your life, that says you cannot renounce till death? When Jesus has said that HE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH & THE LIFE!!!

No demon or beast or whatever name given to these cultist gods has the authority to hold you bound!!! They are illegal occupants in your life.
Renounce now and Say No To Cultism before it's too late.
If you want the tape, I can send it to you on WhatsApp. Listen to it over and over again and the conviction will come upon you by God's Grace. My number is on my signature. I procured arms to protect myself, nabbed 400-level medical student confesses
A 400-level student of Medicine and Surgery at University of Calabar arrested by police in Cross River over alleged illegal possession of arms, said he got the weapon to protect himself.

The suspect, Ikezue Nnamdi, who was arrested on Tuesday, told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Calabar on Thursday that he was a member of a cult group, “black*axe confraternity’’.

Nnamdi said that his focus was to be a professional medical doctor, but that he was initiated into cultism by his friends.

“I was arrested because of accommodation problem in the hostel. The school authority asked me to vacate from the room I was staying.

“I pleaded with them to give me one week, but the school security packed my things away.

“When the security came to my room, they searched me and found some of these items in my possession.

“The army uniform I am wearing was given to me when I was a student of Nigerian Military School, Zaria, in 2014.

“The firearm is what I use to protect myself and I got the gun from a friend. I kept the arms with me because I am a member of confraternity.

“I am a cultist and not a criminal because I have not threatened anybody with this gun.

“It was not my intention to become a cultist; my intention is to be a good doctor in life. If I am pardoned, I will denounce cultism and be a good boy,’’ he lamented.

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Irene Ugbo, had earlier issued a statement, saying that Nnamdi was arrested for being a member of a cult group.

According to the statement, items recovered from him during the arrest include one locally-fabricated revolver pistol, two live 33mm ammunition, seven compressed rolls of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp and a pair of military camouflage.
