Hellooooooo please dont wait for Unilag transcript ooo especially if you know you wont even make the 450 mark with her masters and great ielts score. My point is make up your mind if you will settle for nomination and be prepared and swift about it. From my experience, i applied for Wes april last year hoping unilag masters transcript would have been ready...... You wont believe the transcript is not ready even after the last convocation. I had to write and call WES several times late last year when i realized my department was very slow about it.

WES removed unilag from my app and then i got into the pool. I was able to apply to provinces for nomination. To the glory of God, i got nominated in December.....extra 600 points which covered d point for masters and saved time

My exact point is... there is no time to even say no time. You have to be swift. A perfect example is the CRS scores cic used as benchmark early this year... we had less than 460 almost twice at the beginning of the year compared to the recent 534.

beyunce:

You will need both certificf you know that with her masters and good CRS score you mayate and transcript for evaluation.
Depending on your CRs score. I will say there is no harm evaluating your Bsc too. You might need every little score.
I for one evaluated both my OND and bsc, and I ended up getting evaluated for two or more certificate which will increase my score somewhat. So no harm evaluating both your bachelor and spouse Masters. I guess there is nothing you can do but wait until your spouse transcript is ready.

Hello Jafar777,

Thank you for the info. Please can you share the list of pregnancy test results you took along befor eyu landed in Canada?

Thank you
Jafar777:
[Good day please could you send your contact (email or reachable number to jafarbalogun@yahoo.com.
Id appreciate if you enlighten me on some steps ]Hello People,

I have been a silent follower of this thread, however I signed in to THANK a special lady called HOTSTEPPER.

I got HOTSTEPPER's email from this thread, I sent a mail to her after I gave birth and she followed up wonderfully.

I would probably have gotten stuck because I had issues with my baby's birth certificate but HOTSTEPPER gingered me and it got resolved within a week...her contact at Nig. High. Comm. at Ottawa was also on point as I got my baby's travel document without going there...

To others that will love to know my birth experience.

I got my visa before I got pregnant...I didn't have any issues with border control at Toronto Airport although I wore a big jacket because I came in during winter season.

I gave birth in Ontario..
a) Gynaecologist's Bill - 3000CAD (the fees differ depending on the town and gynaecologist)
b) Hospital Bill - 2000CAD (I begged them to discharge me within 24hrs because it's 2000CAD per night and I was paying out of pocket)
c) Birth Certificate - 65CAD (35 for long form and 25CAD for short form)
d) Passport - 107CAD (I paid for expedited processing otherwise it costs 57CAD)
e) Nig. Travel Doc. - 150CAD

I called the Doc's office before I travelled so I got the list of pregnancy results to bring along...It helped reduce all the cost of healthcare as I only did two tests (Ultrasound and Strep B) when I arrived in Canada.

Would I chose Canada over USA.......YES! YES!! YES!!!

Canadian dollar exchange rate is cheaper than US Dollar; Canadians are really nice and friendly people...the environment is lovely, healthcare is top-notch (Choiiiiiiiii....if you see the kain facilities wey dem get for hospitals here ehhhnnnnn.....our leaders have no excuse for not developing our healthcare sector with the kain income dem don rake from Oil & Gas).

Healthcare and Education (from Kindergarten to High School) is free for Citizens who live in Canada...while education is subsidized for Citizens at Uni level.

I can go on and on but summary is I thank GOD for giving me the opportunity to make this trip and for safe delivery; I also thank HOTSTEPPER for being so supportive even though I didn't meet her in person.

Finally, try to factor in transportation costs.....and yes, baby things here are affordable like in the US.

GOD BLESS!

Hello Munageez,

You can raise a case specific enquiry (CSE) : https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx

I hope this response isnt too late

Munageez:

I am a Nurse here in Nigeria. I completed registration and licensing with College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia, which is the major prerequisite for most of the nursing jobs posted, then, I applied for jobs, got interviewed. When my interviewer understood that I am not from Canada and would need a work permit, I was assigned to an external recruiter who proceeded with my case and told me to apply through BC provincial nominee program which they use for foreign workers. I signed a full time permanent job offer, he concluded everything on their part and sent me all the document I needed to apply for the BC PNP and urged me to apply as soon as possible.
I applied for BC PNP, got nominated and was sent a nomination certificate and work permit support letter with instructions on what to do next. So, now, I have applied for work permit and PR. As soon as my work permit is issued I will go to Canada and start working while I wait for my PR.
In one of the email my recruiter sent to me, he informed me to apply for Upfront medical before submitting my work permit online but I don't know how I completely forgot, I guess it's because I was so overwhelmed with making both applications and trying to do everything right. The timeline for work permit shows 3 months. I hope they request for my medical soon and give me a form for it. If I had done upfront medical I wouldn't be waiting for instructions now. I feel so stupid. My recruiter has been writing me to ask how I am coping with the application and the manager that interviewed me have been in contact too wanting to know how I am faring with everything because they can't wait for me to start.
It was a long process but I was patient. Especially getting the nursing license. I also got advice from Nurses who have gone through the process, one of them decided to start a blog about the whole process to help other nurses through the process. I don't know if it's ok to post the link to the blog here.
I have 3 other employers from different regions in BC offering me jobs but I have already chosen this one.
It was a long journey but I'm glad I'm close.

'letter of no objection'.... please who asked you to register and obtain a letter of no objection. How long have you being practising mechanical engineering and are you currently located in Canada?

I know someone that AINP contacted to obtain a letter of no objection from APEGA to qualify in 2012 and he eventually landed due to this info. Answering questions above will assist in guiding you appropriately. APEGA registeration takes a while, depending on schools you will request transcript from and your referees but response to no objection request is very fast. (less than a week)

Doggys:
Good day everyone. I intend applying for pnp in alberta and am a mechanical engineer with noc 2132. Below in the link i'm been asked to register with apega and obtain a no letter of rejection. Is it necessary for me?

Yes you have. thank you

I may only be able to give you an idea, as it appears it varies from hospital to hospital. 28k for the adults, while same is charged for children as wel in some hospitals and i learnt an hospital charges only 15k for children instead.

Guess i've satisfied the curiosity of the cat... grin

@JesusDWay, how much did it cost per person or per family to do the medical?

JesusDWay:

Tracking number is not what you need, i'm almost certain WES letter is already in your school it just may be that you are not asking from the right quarters. In my case, i went to registry to ask if they have seen the letter requesting for verification from WES and they said they haven't and was later directed to an office where they handle transcript. They eventually checked their mail movement book only to discover the letter from WES got to them less than two weeks when WES posted it. They eventually finished with the response but didn't post it saying WES does not pay them for postage and apparently, they are not ready to incurr the cost so, they appear to wait for the student to come and pay for the cost of postage and if you don't show up, the thing may continually be there without being sent. So, try and do some leg work.

Reagrding the job you may be offered, tell the person offering you the job that it has to come with LMIA, which is what will make you get a 600points that will ensure you get ITA.

Hello good people,
I've been following this thread anonymously like forever. Just have a quick question on IELTS: I just checked my result L9, R8.5, S7.5, W7 and noticed that an extra 0.5 in W will give me 3 extra CRS points. Does it make sense to appeal ie request for a remark?

@ ddestiny, please any update?

@ddestiny

to write WES, send mail to: inquiryca@wes.org not autosender@wes.org

Travel / Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by candykenni: 11:03am On Aug 07, 2015
@ddestiny, I sent the passport datapage by mail to WES. The transcript was sent from school to WES. I initially delayed school from posting it to WES by not paying for courier when i applied for transcript. So, passport data page and transcript where sent to WES separately via email and by post respectively.
ddestiny:

@ candykenni, you mean you sent the passport datapage by post to WES ?. Remember the transcript is meant to be sent directly from school to WES or was this sent by you and included the passport datapage in the package ?.

Grateful for feedback and progress.
Travel / Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by candykenni: 1:25pm On Aug 06, 2015
i sent WES passport data page transcript from school. Status is showing: awaiting verification from school. So, it's still a work in progress. I will update you once evaluation is completed.

ddestiny:

@candykenni, not yet. Sent them an email via the contact us on their website.

Have you sent them an email as well ?. Any information on how to resolve this issue ?.

I have follow you back, expecting your message.

Bsc gives you 112pts while Msc is 126 points under personal info, Msc can fetch you additional points of 12 to 37 to 62 under skill transfer..and adaptability (this also depends on your ielts score/CLB band).

Is their any advantage in getting both my bsc and MSc certificates assessed by WES? Please I will like the advantage explained in terms of exact difference in points .e.g what is the points for bsc alone ,msc alone and bsc+ msc. Thanks

@candykenni, Wifey changed her D.OB. after graduation which is over eight (cool years now and all her document carries the current age. We only discovered the age disparity when the WES evaluation report arrived yesterday and that’s why we are looking for remedies.

@bennik, or any member of the e-forum, please do you think the scanning and forwarding of passport page to WES will work in this situation and has anybody encountered this situation and get this resolved this way ?. What other modalities could be used to resolve this ?. Also, WES doesn’t have a correspondence email address just a donotreply email address. How will you send this to them ?.
Travel / Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by candykenni: 9:41am On Jul 22, 2015
@ddestiny, i have a similar situation. Although, the school is yet to forward my husband's transcript to WES. He changed his D.O.B after school. If i may ask, did your wife change hers? I will appreciate if the scanning and forwarding of passport page to WES works because that will fetch me 8points.

@ bennik, please do you think the scanning and forwarding of passport page to WES will work in my situation. Was your suggestion from experience?
Transcript from school is ready but i want to be sure your suggestion can resolve my situation before i pay WES and pay for courier.

Thank you all.

Lalaska:
My IELTS was fantastic, same as my wife's. I dont have relative there, maybe that's why my points are low. I have also not evaluated my wife's credentials. Will consider this. Im also looking at PNP. My IELTS results as follows:

L = 9.0
R = 8.0
S = 8.0
W = 6.5 Overall = 8.0 so I dont need to retake the IELTS

Good evening all,

I completed the online EE form but i am yet to submit my application. Unilag is yet to conclude on the final approval of my completed M.Sc. program due to internal processes required before presenting it to Senate. Hence, no transcript can be produced/forwarded to WES until senate approves. My questions is:

1. Will i be able to update my educational information from my EE profile after submission?

2. If the answer is no, should i go ahead to submit with my B.Sc. or is it better to wait till when (i do not know) the result will be available?

P.S. I am hoping to apply for PNP to boost my CRS score.

3. Which provinces are good and available for international skilled worker without job offer in terms of economic and weather conditions?

Please what is the best thing to do. Thank you for your contribution.

Hello all,

I am the principal applicant and WES evaluation is awaiting document verification from institution. Is it mandatory for WES to evaluate dependent's(spouse) education with SSCE (since he can't use his B.Sc. due to inconsistent D.O.B?
