Because i don't have passion for computer engr,I had to take 2009/2010JAMB and chose UNILAG(electrical/electronics engineering).
Now i have been offered admission in UNILAG for Electrical/electronics engineering
Electrical/electronics engineering was the initial course i
wanted to study but due to how OAU go about their admission using
JAMB score didn't favour me.
My advice to you is to continue doing computer engineerin do not waste your time by goin to unilag and starting all over again it is not worth it not in the nigerian uni system.

Just do the comp eng and get out of that system. you can learn about electronics in your spare time if you are that passionate or even do it at masters level but please do not waste your time starting all over again.

CareerRe: Tech Vs Finance by candylips(op): 9:06pm On Dec 16, 2009
@tbk

i have my facts right.
Mind you i work in an Inv Bank in one of the countries you call developed countries and i have looked at the profiles of some of the finance guys in top management
None of them has a CFA . about 20% have an MBA and the rest have just good old Bsc but they have many years of experience
Just look around you. Check the profiles of the CEO's of  some of the top companies and lets compare notes.

Yes i am a CFA candidate and my only reason for doing it is to get a fast track introduction to finance i don't intend to be a financial analyst

I understand where you are coming from though CFA gives you a no holds barred introduction to finance but i feel most of the information in there can be learned from experience or in a very good finance book. Having the designation doesn't prove anything other than you have been able to pass some 3 tricky exams
CareerRe: Tech Vs Finance by candylips(op): 6:20pm On Dec 16, 2009
^^^ CFA is bullcrap. looking and adjusting financial statements is a pain  angry

Most CEO or CFO i know don't have it (mind you am a CFA level 2 candidate)

Finance at the top levels is very intuitive you don't need CFA(MBA maybe) to get the job done effectively. Just good old common sense and many years of experience is enough ( u no fit try that for engineering )
