Engineering/Tech makes a little bit of sense in the google or microsoft of this world but na wizkids those guys dey employ

But pepper is far far heavier in the Investment Bank even as a Tech guy compared to google

Not to talk of the guys doing the core corporate finance stuff. those guy's bonus alone is criminal.

I think starting one's career in Engr/Tech and latter moving on to Finance is a smarter move. These days banking is increasingly becoming highly technical

CEO's of some of these banks now are increasingly coming from highly technical backgrounds like physics, mathematics and electical engr.

As regards CFA. It doesn't hurt to do it though i still think u can learn most of what is in there in a good book _{and there are many out there}.

The content of the sylabus is huge but passing the exam is very tricky and in my opinion doesn't prove anything .

its better to focus on learning and understanding the underlying finance concepts . . . the book CFA supplies when u register for the course is a joke its is too academical no practical stuff in there
