Exactly bro, many don't understand this and that's the bane of this generation. It's well. whirlwind7: |
Isn't it funny that we know where our problems lies and we (present generation), the so called leaders of tomorrow, feel helpless as to what to do. Why do we have to continually allow a particular section of the country decide how we live our lives? If we in the southern part of the country feel we are having short of what we should have, why are we quiet about it? The owners of the country (the north) are using the unity to hold the entire country to ransom while we down south are always on each other's throat. Someone once said "Nigeria is a place you can go to, kick its people and nothing will happen", if you ask me the person was referring to Southern Nigeria. You can't go kick a northerner and go without getting kicked back. We know a restructuring of this country is long overdue, why are we (the present generation) quiet about it? The current system of goverance is not good for you, it's not good for me so what are we doing about it? If we are expecting the old cargoes presently in government, the same people who kept us the way we are, to do something about this predicament then we ain't ready to move forward. If you ask me about those who don't truly believe in this country Nigeria, I'll tell you it's the politicians. If they believe in this country staying together then they won't loot the country's wealth, they would have developed the country. I'm sure they are looting for the rainy day and the rainy day is when the country eventually collapses. Well we have to take our destinies back from this corrupt few who have kept us like this or we, in FELA's voice, "SUFFERING AND SMILING!" this is the situation we've found ourselves in the midst of plenty. |

Easy lady, there's really no need for all this exchange of words. I understand where Chiwude is driving at. We all know that the people in the forefront of this Biafra agitation are the Igbos and from what we all know if a referendum comes 95% of Igbos will vote YES. Now these other people, Itsekiri, Isoko, Igala and others that they are attending IPOB's meeting isn't enough to make tell that their entire people want in. The best that can be done is when it's time a referendum will be done for them to decide if they want to be part. Nobody is saying they won't be allowed to be part if they want to but we shouldn't be the ones going after them and speaking for them. One thing is certain which is that our Igbo kins in the SS would never be left behind. They are first Igbos before becoming SS. Is there are 100 Itsekiris and only 5 attend the meeting and believe in the struggle then it's not enough. The 5 will have to go convince the remaining 95 and give them reasons why the Biafra actualisation is better of for them. We have to appeal to their understandings, give them reasons why they should join. Just shealth your sword sis, there's no need for the confrontation with Chiwude. chosen04: |
