Politics / Re: Crisis Rocks CAN As Pastors Move Against Oritsejafor - by cannonnier(m): 11:08am On Nov 14, 2013
Foxy_Osamadeen: BENIN — CRISIS is brewing in the leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, as members from the Niger Delta, under the aegis of Global Peace Relief Initiative, led by Prophet Jones Erue, yesterday, faulted President of the association, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, over what they described as the unacceptable comments made against them, following their attempts to reconcile the G-7 governors with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

In a statement by Prophet Erue, the Niger Delta pastors described Oritsejafor’s comment to the effect that CAN was apolitical, as laughable, accusing the CAN President of getting involved in politics of calumny and name dropping.

They said that they might not be as rich as the CAN President or own a private jet, but were men of integrity.

The statement said: “We are disappointed that a leader could sit and watch his two children fight while the rest of us suffer only to come and blackmail those who take their time to seek solutions to the crisis.” They warned that no amount of blackmail or intimidation would deter them from the noble mission of rescuing the country from imminent collapse.

“It is surprising that Pst Ayo Oritsejafor, the CAN president will handle issues of immense gravity and national importance hastily, with levity and without discretion. The first and easiest thing to know about a man is his name; it is a pity that the CAN president does not know the name of the group of clerics he is addressing nor their affiliates.

“Expecting him to have minimal knowledge on what they stand for, will be tantamount to exerting too much pressure on his aging gray matter. We are begging his aides and personal assistants to do their job well and stop exposing this great man of God to disrepute.

“These eminent clerics and their affiliate, Global Peace and Relief Initiative have taken on a laudable project of consulting across all interest group and stakeholders concerning the Nigerian project. Nigeria is the only country we can call our own and as fathers we cannot fold our hands and watch intolerance and impunity destroy our nation.

“To place the records straight, we have not made promises to any persons and we have not used the name of CAN, we have an affiliate whose mission and vision best defines our activity. We are noble men and do not rail accusation on authorities.

“It is a pity that the handlers of the CAN president have allowed miscreants, to drag him into a show of shame, misinformed the press and over laboured the corporate affairs commission with a futile search.

“If we may ask, whose registration were they authenticating? A group they barely know its name? This is a faith based Non Governmental Organisation, NGO, with memberships spread across the nation. Our main business is advocacy, conflict prevention/ resolution and facilitation of peace projects whether individual, group, organisation or government. We create a good soil for developmental projects and people oriented policies to thrive

“For the CAN president to say CAN is apolitical is laughable, as the same president is involved in politics of calumny and name dropping. “The CAN’s statement as reported by the media does not represent the facts on ground but a mere imagination. Calling names at this critical period of the nation’s political development does not represent the responsibility expected of a great leader of Pastor Ayo Oritsejeafor’s capacity”

“We want to place it on record that the Bishops and Clerics in this body may not own private jets but are men of unquestionable character, dependable leaders, and stewards of peace and holders of reputable degrees. The leader of this group Prophet Jones Ode Erue is a highly respected both in political and religious circles. Many people have benefited from the peace initiatives by this great icon since 2002 till date.

“When men lack purpose and relevance, rather than encourage others with vision and purpose they become detractors of good and well meaning Nigerians. “ We are disappointed that a leader could sit and fold his hands and watch his two children fight while the rest of us suffer only to come and blackmail those who take their time to seek solutions to the crisis.

The forum wishes to state emphatically that no amount of cheap blackmail or intimidation can deter it from this noble mission to rescue the country from the imminent collapse which can be averted. “We are duty bound to restore peace and unity to our dear country, Nigeria.

” We will continue with the ongoing consultation with all stake holders in the task of putting Nigeria back to the road, to national unity and development” stated.

strange beings do exist. I cud remember when I was studying in UNIBEN. I stayed off campus in Ekosodin then. I went to read in the night in the Faculty of Education but I cud no longer continue reading due to uncontrollable sleep in the class,so I decided to go back to my room around 12:30am to sleep. As soon as I got to the Ekosodin gate, I saw somebody afar walking towards the village. As much as I ran to catch up with this person so dat we cud walk together becos it was dark, the more this person kept me a distance. The more I tried to catch up with him,the more this being kept maintaining dat distance. I gave up and concluded dat this so called man is not a normal human being. I got to my hostel and told my room mate. After listening to me,he said dat we should sleep and talk about it in the morning. when it was morning, my room mate woke me up and said thank God for ur life. He said, dat thing I was trying to walk with was a spirit. Since dat day, I stopped going to that village late in the night alone. So my nairalanders, they exist, pray not to have an encounter with them.

crackhaus: I once ran into a really really beautiful fair-skinned gal back when I was in Uniport.
It was sunny and her skin glistened in the heat, almost like it was made of glass.

I made my move of course after I and my friends had gossiped her from a distance.

I begged her to take a photo with me at one of the photo stands close to Ofrima Hall, which she initially refused.

Long story short, this pretty little goddess finally agreed to oblige me.
But there was a big problem! After taking the shot together, she hurriedly left because according to her she had a class to attend.
I waited to collect the pics along with my friends.
When the photgrapher came back with the pics, he clearly was confused because he just kept looking at me with a strange face. I wondered what was happening. The guy then asked me, 'abeg bros, where you for see this girl?' 'Her face no dey show for this picture oo'

I looked at all the pieces, and just like he said, her face was covered with something that looked liked a bright light shinning from nowhere.

The pix was taken under the shades of a tree so there were no rays of sun.
To make matters more interesting, her hands actually looked like 'glass' in the picture...

IT WAS ALL SO BEAUTIFUL...

That was the day I decided that I will never let any beautiful fair-skinned woman pass me by without hearing my lyrics...
I fell in love with all women fair/yellow skinned that day!
please post the the pix so we could all witness that fair skin, glass skin bitch you took a picture with under the mango tree. imagine what if you had went to bed with her.

Health / Re: Most Popular Recreational Drugs by cannonnier(m): 5:23pm On Nov 13, 2013
justirich: 7. LSD
LSD (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide) is possibly the most powerful hallucinogenic drug known. It was discovered in 1938 by Albert Hoffman a Swiss chemist, whose actual purpose was to find a cure for the common cold. It has had a checkered history to say the least. Iconic public figures have, in the past, advocated its use: Hunter S Thompson, The Beatles, and Timothy Leary being notable advocates.

After 1-2 hours of ingesting the drug, visual awareness is heightened, sounds become enhanced, emotions and physical sensations are altered. The user’s sense of self and its interaction with people or objects, their concept of reality is generally brought to question. Strange visual stimuli, that may or may not be comforting or frightening overwhelm the user, there is a real risk of irrational fear taking over, paranoia, confusion or panic. Equally, some people have apparently wonderful experiences with none of these symptoms.

Jokes Etc / Queen Elizabeth Lecture GEJ On Leadership. by cannonnier(m): 9:27pm On Sep 16, 2013
Jonathan met with the Queen of England. He
asked her, "How do you run such an efficient
government? Are there any tips u can give to
me?
I want to help Nigeria." "Well," said the Queen,
"the most important thing
is to surround yourself with intelligent
people."
Jonathan frowned, and then asked,"But how
do i
know the people around me are really
intelligent?" The Queen replied, "Oh, that's
easy,
you just ask
them to answer an intelligent riddle." The
Queen
pushed a button on her intercom. "Please
send
David Cameron in here, would you?" David
Cameron walked into the room and
said,"Yes, your majesty?" The Queen smiled
and
said, "Answer this riddle.
David, your mother and father have a child, it
is
not your brother and it is not your sister. Who
is
it?" Without pausing for a minute David
Cameron answered, "that would be me." "Yes,
very good," said the Queen. Jonathan went
back
home to ask his Vice
President Sambo. JONATHAN: Answer this.
Your
mother and your
father have a child, it's not your brother and
it's
not your sister, who is it? SAMBO: "I'm not
sure,
let me get back to you." He asked all his staff
in
the Office but none could
give him an answer. Finally, one day, VP
Sambo
ran into Dora Akunyili. Sambo asked, Dora,
SAMBO: Your mother and father have a child
and
it's not your brother or sister, who is it?" Dora
answered sharply, "That's easy, its me!"
Sambo smiled, and said "Thanks!" Then he
went
back to speak with President
Jonathan. Sambo: Sir, I have the answer to
that
riddle, It's
Dora Akunyili! Jonathan got angry,he said to
Sambo. "No
wonder Nigeria isn't moving forward, I am
surrounded by Dummies! The answer is David
Cameron!" WHO IS MORE INTELLIGENT?

Religion / Re: The Bible Or The Quran, Which Is The Word Of God by cannonnier(m): 10:28am On Sep 12, 2013
lanrexlan:
1).You will be able to recognize in the Bible what may be described as "The Word of God."
2).You will also be able to discern what can be described as the "Words of a Prophet of God."
3).And you will most readily observe that the bulk of the Bible is the records of eye witnessess or ear witnesses,or people writing from hearsay. As such they are the "Words of a Historian".
The following quotations will make the position crystal clear:
The FIRST Type: (a) I will raise them up a prophet . . . and I will put my words in ... and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." (Deuteronomy 18:18)
(b) I even,I am the Lord, and beside me there is no saviour." (Isaiah 43:11)
(c) "Look unto me,and be ye saved, all the end of the earth:for I am God,and there is non else." (Isaiah 45:22)
Note the first person pronoun singular in the above references, and without any difficulty you will agree that the statements seem to have the sound of being GOD'S WORD.

The SECOND Type:
(a) Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying Eli, Eli, lama sabachtani? . . ." (Matthew 27:46) (b) "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord:" (Mark 12:29)
(c) And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God.(Mark 10:18).
Even a child will be able to affirm that: Jesus "cried" Jesus "answered" and Jesus "said" are the words of the one to whom they are attributed, i.e. the WORDS OF A PROPHET OF GOD
.
The THIRD Type:
And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he,(JESUS) came,if haply he (JESUS) might find anything thereon: and when he (JESUS) came to it,(Jesus) found nothing but leaves . . ." (Mark 11:13)
The bulk of the Bible is a witnessing of this THIRD kind. These are the words of a third person. They are not the Words of God or of His prophet, but the WORDS OF A HISTORIAN
.
But the Quran is a revelation from the Creator-Allah(swt).Allah says in
Surah Al-Imran 3:3- It is He(Allah) Who has sent down the Book (the Quran) to you (Muhammad SAW) with truth, confirming what came before it.And he sent down the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel).
Surah Hud 11:1- Alif-Lam-Ra.[These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
(This is) a Book, the Verses whereof are perfected (in every sphere of knowledge, etc.),and then explained in detail from One (Allah),Who is All-Wise and Well-Acquainted (with all things).
Surah Al-Kahf 18:1 -All the praises and thanks be to Allah,Who has sent down to His slave (Muhammad SAW) the Book (the Quran),and has not placed therein any crookedness
.There are many verses from the Quran that also testifies to this.So the Quran is a revelation from almighty Allah and no word of prophet Muhammad(pbuh) is added.....Peace

[quote author=Mighty Sparrow]I have read in this blog that Allah gave Jesus a book as Muslims claim. I will like a Muslim to tell me the content of the book and what happened to the book why it is no more in circulation.
Bible is only book that has reasonably given us an account of creation, the prophecies about the world events and vivid descriptions of heaven and the final destiny of the world. Koran may be an addition but the few chapters I have read show s a marked departure from general principles of the Bible. I think the Bible is more informative.

the real gospel [engeel] has been taken back and being replace with the qur'an.

If jesus is to com today, there is no option but for him to follow the qur'an.

there are plenty of verses in the qur'an that claim it is the word of God, but the bible clearly say "the book john, mathew, there is no even the book jesus. Apparently those people are telling what they hear about God from his prophets.

So the bible is more like the hadiths.

what the writer mean is that both symptoms are nothing lethal to the way Stella describe it.

The name of the writer is at the bottom of the article
Celebrities / Take A Breath: An Advice For Stelladamasus by cannonnier(m): 7:47pm On Sep 06, 2013
Let me begin by saying the “child” marriage
debate can only make people famous, it can
only be used to stay famous, it can only revive
careers of actresses who are smart enough to
hurriedly make a youtube video when the
heat is on, but it will continue to happen and
not even the removal of the controversial
supportive clauses or the inclusion of a new
prohibiting one will stop it. This is the fact;
plain simple, in one paragraph.
I have watched the drama playing out and
how Stella Damasus has tried so hard to be
the lead actor. From a youtube video with
costumes and the rants of a little girl to an
Aljazeera performance where she frowns
while other guests speak, I have observed the
Stella lady and I think she needs the following
advice:
Firstly, arrogance, insults and name calling
does not make you right. You are right when
you are right you are wrong when you are
wrong. For example you referred to the
Islamic position on marriage age as
“deafening, old and archaic”. Earlier in an
article of yours you praised the Islamic mood
of worship and the simplicity of it as well as
narrated a story of how a wealthy Muslim
came down from his car to join a gate man in
his estate in prayer in your presence….well,
the provision of Islam which made this
possible is also old and we thank God it is not
archaic in the sense of being abandoned for
being old. And the same way you hate our
provision for marriage at any age, the pagan
Arabs hated the prayers you so praised.
Still on mistaking arrogance and bad
behaviour for correctness, I also heard you
imply that Muslims “poach” and Christians
don’t. According to your claim, the Nigerian
law recognizes Islam but also recognizes
Christianity but Christians don’t “poach” by
asking that the position of the Christian
religion be part of Nigerian law. Again you are
not right because you said it with much
emphasis and a frowned face. This is Nigeria
in which it’s Government has a public Holiday
two times a week because Christians, with all
due respect, could not agree on which day is
Sabbath; Saturday or Sunday. This is Nigeria in
which the whole period around Christmas is
public holiday and you don’t “poach”? Of
course you don’t, but we do just because we
are saying don’t forbid US from marrying
OURSELVES when WE want to and because we
say the fact that you compromise your rights
to follow your Bible to the Nigerian
constitution does not mean we must do the
same, more so when the constitution does
not require that of us. We poach, we are
poachers, don’t mind us!
Secondly, I advise that you, Stella, know your
facts especially if you intend saying them on
international television. The Child Right Act is
the result of a Convention which can only be
applied if it goes in line with the Constitution,
so if the constitution suggested that a
woman of 17 can get married and you say
the Child Right Act prohibits such, then you
are saying the Child Right Act is
unconstitutiona l and should be thrown
away. This is a classic case of not knowing
what you are talking about and hence
speaking against what you intend to speak
for. Now you know why Abraham Lincoln said
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool
than to speak out and remove all doubt"
Another blunder you committed because you
thought exclamations can cover for points is
that you claimed to have discovered hospitals
where women with VVF die off. Stella, Stella,
VVF is not even lethal, it does not kill. This is as
ridiculous as saying you have discovered
hospitals where people with Eczema are left
to die. Studies, which you will not read
because you are too busy taking pictures and
twitting, have shown that of 100,000 births
0.4% have the challenge of VVF which is
mainly a result of prolong child labour and
rape. Let me show you what Dr. John
Spurlock, MD Medical Director and Founder of
the Continence Management Institute of the
Lehigh Valley and 9 other specialists wrote
about the cause of VVF and I sure this will be
the first time you are reading of a disease you
always speak about:
“Risk factors that predispose to VVFs include
prior pelvic or vaginal surgery, previous PID,
ischemia, diabetes, arteriosclerosi s,
carcinoma, endometriosis, anatomic
distortion by uterine myomas, and infection,
particularly postoperative cuff abscess”
You see my dear, one does not have to be
super intelligent to speak if only he will be
intelligent enough to know he has to speak
only of what he knows.
My third and final advice for Stella Damasus is
that it is important to follow the argument of
the other side if you must engage in a debate.
No one standing with Yerima is saying
Nigeria is an Islamic state, no one is saying
there should be sexual exploitation of
children rather that which has been said is
that Nigeria being a multi religious state as
you claim has said it will not disturb your
practice of your religion; marriage is part of
religion as far as Muslims and Islam is
concerned; as a matter of fact the Prophet of
Islam says it is HALF of religion for the
Muslims, Nigeria has said it won’t disturb, let
it not disturb. It has also been said that in
Islam and for Muslims when you marry is not
necessarily when you have sex so marriage is
anytime, sex is during maturity so where is
the exploitation? If you are concerned about
how we ensure this then take a breathe and
ask us we will answer you.
We do hope to see women like Stella who will
get all angry and vocal over the fact that
women are in the market places in Nigeria
selling pepper under the scourging sun with
one baby on her back and two others
running around at the risk of being run down
by a car. We do hope to see women who will
address the problem of prostitution which
leaves a young girl sleeping with 10 men a
night, 60-70 a week, 280 men every month
and 3,360 men a year at the risk of STDs,
losing her womb, permanent frigidity, HIV,
and rape….but then a non-fatal disease which
only occurs in less than 0.4% of child delivery
and is curable is more of an issue. What an
Olympic sport in hypocrisy
