Cry me river! You call someone's comment who made light jokes of a near death situation intelligent? Your handle is no stranger to most of us who have been here for long and you are not a very bright person to engage in a discuss.

So I dare say to you..... Face the topic and explain to the world why GEJ sent Bakare a Greek gift? Also tell the world why Bakare's advice to GEJ to do the needful and provide good governance as a bad thing cool
you are just making sense and they are not keeping on. TOMB UP JOOR.

ibnzubair: Rejecting a gift is not the best way to seek good governance. The gift seems to mean "lets put our pasts behind us". IMO, he should have accepted it then advice the president as a friend, well-wisher and good citizen.

By the way, why should the news come from El-Rufai? Isnt he a muslim?
Gifts from politicians are no ordinary gifts.
if the pastor accept it, we will see it as a BRIBE

Magic Bishop: Because most of the IEDs deployed against them in the past were triggered remotely by cell phones.

In Maiduguri, when ever the JTF convoy were hit by a roadside bomb the soldiers will immediately fire sporadically and indiscriminately into the surrounding crowd. Their reasoning was that the ambush was carried out from the crowd.

Whenever you are at a check point switch off your phone , turn down the volume of your radio and on your cabin light (if dark) and most of all be polite to them.

I love GH:

Dude below is a link to listen to how CUT is supposed to be pronounced and you will know why the guy cut the fish instead of telling you whether he had catfish or not.

@ bolded
Yes according to the English man, CUT is pronounced the same as CAT. You are laughing because you are a Nigerian and in Nigeria “cut” is pronounced as “caught” But guess what? the rest of the English world don’t cool

Now listen to the pronunciation of CUT from a talking dictionary of English pronunciation
CUT - http://www.howjsay.com/index.php?word=cut&submit=Submit

i guess CAT will then be pronunce as CART.

fijiano202: Many of our Fellow nigerians are pure hypocrites. Most of the youths of nowadays dont have anything positive they witness or benefitted from Mandela during his lifetime,we only read and were aware of his exploit thru books and for most of us born in the 80's we had little knowledge abt his struggles,so why all this threads, regrets and sympathy for someone u hardly know,am not trying to Mock his death in anyway but i can proudly say Mandela didnt influence my life in anyway. To the nairalanders who created thread for his condolence,u all are naive and Nabal, none of u saw it fit to create a thread for the condolence of Festus Iyayi,a man who lost his life while on a positve agenda which would have highly influence the dialogue between ASUU and the Fed Govt, which may have resulted in the ending of the ongoing strike.Sometimes we dont appreciate our own unsong heroes but we try to create awareness for people the world admires.Mugabe was right abt Nigeria,we are too dumb to deliver ourselves
i just respect him cos he fought for the
freedom of the people he fought for.
And i also believe that 'had he the
chance to fight for mine and yours, he
would'. But neither do i think he
influence me in anyway.

Islam for Muslims / Re: A Muslim's View Of The Ban On Alcohol In Kano State by cannonnier(m): 9:39am On Dec 05, 2013
Sissie:

In Kano State, Sabon Gari is a predominantly non Muslim area, and the sale of alcohol is allowed, that's the only area In kano, in which the sale of alcohol is allowed publicly and they have bars and joints there, so if the destruction happened in that area then I do agree with OP.

But if it's not sabon gari, then I do not agree with the OP, people who live in kano, already know the law.
the thing is when they got buzz out of sense they roam around the city with their beer bottle in hand.

even in the barracks they welcome you as a customer but when you get drunk they kick your ass out to the humane society.

my stand is he it will be ban or legalise; let it be everywhere.

but the op shred some points worth pondering.
Health / Uruguay To Nationalise marijuana? by cannonnier(m): 1:16am On Dec 05, 2013
::
Uruguay could become the first
country in the world to nationalise
and legalise marijuana.
On Tuesday,
the Senate will vote on a bill that would make the sale of cannabis for
adults legal and government-
controlled. If passed the price of
marijuana is expected to be set at
around $1 a gram.

President Jose Mujica has spent the
past year campaigning for legalisation as part of a program to reduce drug-related crime. In an interview with a Brazilian newspaper, he said: "We are asking the world to help
with this experience, which will
allow the adoption of a social and
political experiment to face a seri
problem - drug trafficking," he said "The effects of drug trafficking are worse than those of the drugs themselves."

Legalising marijuana means breaking
with the United Nations' 1961 Convention on Narcotic Drugs, ratifie by Uruguay in 1975.

The US has criticised the move, arguing that it is violating international agreements. Y
this strategy as a form of drug control has support among many sectors of Uruguayan society.

Regulacion Responsable (Responsible Regulation), a coalition of prominent
Uruguayan citizens, social and civic
organisations, has been publicising
the government's initiative for over a
year through TV campaigns like this
one:.

http://stream.aljazeera.com/story/201312042238-0023230

i think this is a liberal step.
Alcohol is a much more
dangerous drug. I'd rather be with a street full of pot smokers
than a bunch of drunks.
