tomhank:Nah, I just know my sci-fi tropes, whenever you watch or read something that involves time travel, there are certain things to expect eg you expect at least one paradox, the butterfly effect etc, even the title of the film gives it away (predestination paradox aka closed time loop). It still was a nice mind-f*** though, when you realised you've just watched a film where the main cast has been reduced drastically in a rather truly unconventional love story that is unwittingly both the sub-plot & the plot...and a very interesting way of fighting one's own demons... |

tomhank:I had to no issue with it, I actually predicted its ending during the opening scene. Then I predicted the full ending once the stolen baby was mentioned. You watch a time travel film you expect at least one jaw dropping paradox. Currently watching 47 Ronin. |

justwise:Not in this country, they'll even calculate to ensure that you haven't exceeded it. We were only 2 people at the university, who had this issue. The other girl was able to finish because after the calculations they discovered she had exactly the 6 months she needed to finish, so her extension was given to those exact 6 months. My own was a special case, the university never pointed out that the 2 years I'd used for my A-Levels would actually help. All I wanted to do was finish the year, the irony was when I finally got a lawyer & mentioned my A-Levels in passing (while filling out my form), she and her colleague literally said "indefinite leave to remain"' in unison. So in their quest to bounce my butt, they unwittingly enabled me to apply for indefinite leave to remain. ttmacoy, the new policy means you can only stay a maximum of 5 years as an international student in the UK. So meaning if you've already exceeded the 5 years already (maybe from a previous UK degree, masters with year in industry or whatever), then you'll be unable to apply for a visa. In fact the school would not even give you an acceptance letter. Previously, all their former international student laws never enforced retroactively, until this one happened. I remember when the news about the limit was revealed the year earlier, I asked the university, they assumed the new rule wouldn't be enforced retroactively...then the government told us otherwise. The university had to reject and rescind their acceptance for a lot of students. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Jupiter Ascending...because I feel like disappointing myself again. UPDATE: Oddly enough not as disappointing on the 2nd try, as long as you just watch it for its sci-fi and action then you're golden. The most disappointing 2015 film I've watched is slowly turning into a guilty pleasure, still one of the most visually stunning film I've seen this year. |

shadowgwalker:Hatred? jealousy? My dear you're using the wrong nouns...this woman hasn't achieved anything to give her that lofty title. Yes, she's our First Lady, but she exhibits very questionable behaviour. She sure as hell wasn't knighted with a Dame Commander or Dame Grand Cross, I don't recall her being mentioned during the Queen's New Years Honours. Even if she was (maybe in Dante's 9th circle of hell), she would only get an honorary one, which she still won't be able to use in public. Unless, this is the equivalent to Chieftaincy that was been bestowed to her by an area father, elder, oba, obi, eze etc...or a National honour that I don't know about. Next time answer the question, instead of feeling misplaced shame on my behalf or claiming I'm jealous of a woman who acts more like a loud market woman and less like a refined First Lady. |

MockinJay:UK got it today, they always get the MCU films a week or 2 before the Americans. Hence why I'm usually the first (on NL) to watch it 'cause I usually do the midnight screenings at my local cinema. |
| Politics › Re: African First Ladies Summit: Dame Patience Rigs Out Aisha Buhari by cao(f): 10:41am On Apr 23, 2015 |
Err...why is she called Dame? I don't recall her ever being knighted by the Queen...she's neither a full British citizen nor was she given an honorary one (she won't even be able to use that one publicly). And I also recall that our First Ladies don't have any title other than First Lady. So this Damehood is news to me...or is this the new way of placating people, give them non-existent titles in hopes that they would remain docile? Well, they failed with that one... |

missclasssy:I've watched Flower Girl way too many times, it's the sole reason I paid for my subscription to iRokoTV. I liked Contract.& Last Flight to Abuja. I've been trying to be a good Nigerian girl looking for legit online copies of Phone Swap, but the one legit Nigerian online platform keep doing some weird 419 stunts not to show it - ibakaTV failed badly on this, it never plays....maybe I'll give it another try. |
Whaaaattttttttt? It's almost as if u r in the future. I think I'm jealous.
