Funny how this was posted 2 hours earlier and no one took notice - https://www.nairaland.com/2244557/missing-children |
davide470:Pele, life happened, been working my butt off. |
agohmamuda:I rest my case. |
I remember during my A-Levels in my second year in England, I met a former classmate during a STEM* thing (I believe it was something to do with the Chemists Society), the girl was just blasting phonetics, the true mgbeke in me came out - I just started spitting pidgin, proper concrete pidgin. See the way my oyinbo friend was staring at me, since I was speaking actual English, not more than 2.5s ago... I'm surprised you did not mention the ones that will travel to abroad for like a week or maybe a month tops and they'll come back sounding like their tongues have swollen. Make mistake and do this near my father when I'm at home, he will just direct you to me and say my daughter has been in obodo oyinbo too long, she'll be able to understand what you're saying...then proceed to imitate you. *Google is your friend. |
agohmamuda:An actual 10 letter English word using only the 10 letters from the top row is impossible, unless you're privy to this information? |
My actual reaction on viewing the pic... **scrolls down the thread, sees cap & cute face** why hello there cutie... **continues scrolling, sees shirt** not a fan of the weird partial black leather thing, but you're still looking good... **continues scrolling, sees the tail end or whatever you call it of the shirt** ...o...kay...still not bad, although I'm starting to get worried... **continues scrolling, sees the beginning of the jeans** okay, not that bad it's simple with some added flair... **continues scrolling, notices the rest of the jeans** oh boy you don f*** up-o, wetin naw, your tailor run out of cloth? Wetin you do way vex your tailor? You dey owe em money? My guy why? Haba naw, life no bad like that naw. You for just wear short knicker jor, which one be this style? **finally sees his shoes** oh well... |
I do hope and pray that they're found, especially in good health. Although, I'm not a mod of this section nor a supermod, but all the same we pray for their safe return. EDIT: After a quick check on Twitter found a picture of the kids. (via https://twitter.com/cuteloola/status/585878380681265153) It would appear that the friends of the family are trying to use social media to help spread the word. agohmamuda:Nowhere was it ever stated in the original post, not to do so, it only stated using the letters from the top row of a qwerty keyboard to form a 10 letter word. It never stated about the frequency of the letters being used, just that they form a 10 letter word. |

UjSizzle:I watch too much telly, as for OUAT, I'm simply there for Regina. |
Precious91:It would be good if we can see some screenshots, you know some NLers will not read anything, but they would look at the pictures. |
UjSizzle:Mine was also sold out, of course some folks didn't turn up, I guess that happens when you pay a flat rate every month. See told you it was entertaining and a bit teary. |

frazak:That's a tough one...if you liked the naval missions in AC3, you'll love ACIVBF.. I spent way too much time on the ship fishing/whaling & listening to sea shanties, with the occasional taking over a fort. Although like all AC games, it can seem repetitive, plus the fact Edward Kenway seems to be well-trained Assassin without any Assassin's training whatsoever still always bugs me. I loved how they glossed it over with "he has the sight." Oh girl, when the seeing in blue & gold turn folks into trained Assassins? ![]() Uncharted 3 is still one beautiful game, the level in the cruise ship is worth the price. And if you're fan of its multiplayer then you'll have some additional fun. I'm very partial to Nathan Drake & his sense of humour, so I'd go with Uncharted 3. |
coogar:I finally found out why the random ratings happened, if my player got injured during a match & he gets subbed, if I choose the sim option, my player will be rewarded a 10 rating*. Then all my ratings afterwards will be randomly given, even though the original ratings is only shown during & at the end of the match, the random one will be used in everything else - messing the hell out of my weekly accomplishments. The only way to solve this - save & quit, then go back into it or terminate the title. That's one specific as hell bug. *both times, it was an attempted header & my guy didn't have time to heal, so he was taken off once it was time for the goal kick. Was also rocking above 9.5 ratings. There is no way in hell, I'm going attempt to reproduce this five times, they don't care for bugs in old games. |
Pele, the pain is real...that pic with Spidey in the air, that's what the OP is feeling, minus the safety net of the web-slinging... Chei! |
AdeLaNa1:Just make sure you're behind them, then you should see the trigger for the grapple. I remember discovering it by chance, after that if I had the grappling hook equipped, I'd do everything to kill them that way, instead of wasting my EMPs and bullets. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U74sC8BFySc |
LordReed:I honestly tried, it just didn't mesh with me. AdeLaNa1:I live for the single player, I'm slowly seeing the appeal of multiplayer, but it's not the be all & end all. There are things you can only do in the campaign mode that you can't do in the multiplayer. Like when I was talking to the chef, I told him you can use a grappling hook against an ASTA & the guy was looking at me like I was crazy. |

^^^^ I've my moments anywho, back to the topic, I'm still playing FIFA 14. Who send me message? My guy don enter 2018, he don play World Cup, Euro Champ, 3 FA Cups and countless of other trophies. E never end-o, oh boy must become a manager whenever he retires. Chineke, biko save me from the wahala I've given myself. |
I'll give my own 2 cents, I'm a noob at FPSS, seriously the last FPS game was Duke Nukem on the PS1, I tried Unreal Tournament once during my PC gaming days (man, I miss that laptop) and I just couldn't get into it. Until, I tried COD: Ghosts, I found the storyline intriguing and I got over my inability to see the character. I was a big fan of the space gameplay, seriously they could have made the whole game on that aspect and I'd be a happy camper. The campaign mode was brilliant, even though I've been told it's a rehash of another COD game, it looked good to me. Then along came CoD: Advanced Warfare, now it's campaign mode was a doozy, this time we're not playing the mute brother - our guy has a voice & appears to be an actual contributor and not a faceless soldier. The futuristic upgrade is an added bonus, plus I get to play in Lagos. Even though they did mess up on that one - we've not had a Prime Minister in Nigeria in a very long time; where the heck did they find that Nigerian accent?; Lagos is not the capital of Nigeria. At least I know I heard some Yoruba (just aim towards the crowd at the beginning (I think?) and listen). Killing ASTs by grappling hook is still a fun way to kill them. See the way I dey jump left right & centre just to press the R1 button behind them. Now onto the multiplayer, I'm a literal walking target, I can't help you here. This time it's battling 12 year old boys or French guys*, who have spent way too much time playing these games, usually without ever stepping into the campaign mode. Once spoke to one of the chefs at work, the guy proudly said he had never played the Campaign mode of COD & this guy had been playing CoDs for the longest of time. If you have the patience, willpower and luck, you could become godlike...of course only in COD not in real life. I've heard good things about BF, but since I'm still a FPS noob, I'll have to actually see some game time to actually comment on it. *apparently, everytime I try to play online gaming I'm always paired with French guys, this is kinda awkward when you think about the English-French relationship, I've been in England way too long. |
Dokilala:Thank you for informing me about your sock puppet account...some folks really need their NL fix that they'll create accounts. Gmyguy, you were given a 5 hour ban - you cried like they broke your favourite straffing hand. Let it go, son. AdeNaLa1 appears to have handled himself like a man, stop acting like a petulant child. The ball is in your court. JMystique:I gave them a cooling off period of 5 hours. Even created a thread where they could continue. |
Temihatz:CC Temihatz |
gmyguy:Your wish is my command, this jobless moderator has heard your request. Since a mere five hours was too much for you, let's make it a day. |
The Spirit is still a visually stunning neo-noir film, shame Frank Miller tried to make it look like Sin City, I remember rating it 7/10 after I first watched it. I still like it though, maybe because I never read the original comic strips, so I never knew about the changes. |

To the FPS fiends, you can finally have a good verbal smackdown on whether Call of Duty or Battlefield is the better first person shooter game. Oya start talking. CC: gmyguy & AdeLaNa1, you can continue your talk here, after your cooling off period is over. |
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 ... 228 229 230 231 232 233 234 235 236 (of 270 pages)
And that very touching tear-inducing end.
