Why do you get to see movies in the cinemas before always. Argh cry cry
Y'all yanks like to make a scene with your films, eg Avengers 2 is opening on May Day, we're getting it on the 23rd of April...Now if it's a Disney film, y'all go gaga and release it pronto...then we get it in 2-6 months. We seem to get the MCU films & some blockbusters before y'all, but y'all never mess with your Disney fairytales.

Which state in U.S do you reside? Cinemas here in NC always make me wait a long time before showing new movies.
Not in the US, in the UK.

I see FP has brought the "wow" & the ellipse crew, all these space bookers & local hustlers. Abeg, you require a two word minimum in this section.

God of War (any), Uncharted 2 (shout out to the level on the ship in Uncharted 3), the beginning of U2 always gets me. Then, there's the falling building scene, man Nathan Drake knows how to have a good bad day.

POP- warrior within was good until the back and forth in the same building in different timelines started and even the daraka found it funny and I was so pissed off wudda broken the disc/flung it against the wall or something but it was a digital version so I deleted the crap out of it....... Yeah it felt good!
Exactly. I think it honestly was the third time for me and I just gave up, ejected it from my PS2 returned it to its case and ignored it for all eternity. I'll probably ignore it again when I finally play my PoP: Trilogy (HD) on my PS3, who am I kidding? I'll definitely ignore it.

I thought you're not a fan of the F&F series
Say what now?! Action, cars, drifting, heists, guns, chases & the occasional smack down...what's not to love? I've been following it since Day 1. Yes, I've watched every one of them including the short film. Now if Diesel could somehow decide to resurrect Triple X, I'll probably be the first one there screaming like a loon.

To be honest though, I'm still surprised that the franchise was resurrected & is now actually profitable.

abeg, has it been corrected
I was referring to last week's episode, I haven't watch this week's episode.

DrDre1:
Cao, I see you have received your heavy dose of cinematic shock grin grin grin They should have displayed a warning before the start of that particular episode. I never imagined in my wildest imagination how the whole thing is turning out. Ordinarily, I play 'catch-up' most times figuring out the next twist, but after that episode, I felt a flush of different emotions that just left me numb for days. This show is really not for the faint-hearted wink
As in, I kept chatting with my sis on BBM, poor girl had no clue about this show, but I didn't care, someone had to understand my dilemma. I know I yelled during the Barlow scene*, see the way I was covering my mouth, I thought my housemates were going to kill me. Baptism by fire. Chei! Omo, James McGraw is no more, there is only Captain James Flint.

*even though I'd spoiled it for myself, when I made the mistake of reading the first paragraph of a review for the finale, but still that scene shocked the hell out of me. Lord Ashe you frakked up real bad...like really really bad...like Michael Jackson bad.

Janelle Monae is a true artist.

You have good taste.

The problem is that most popular 'artists' are not creative, they are actors who sing someone else's lines (often badly).

They can't write their own material.

They can't choreograph their dance moves.

Very few of them can play an instrument or even read music and yet they call themselves musicians and people are paying to see them.

That there are so many of these talentless drones is the fault of the consumer.

P.S.
Numerous people complained about Amy Winehouse when she was alive for subpar performances and a nonchalant attitude and Katy Perry has her detractors owing to her inability to sing live. Let's not forget about the various criticisms surrounding Britney Spears either. Everyone has bad nights but many are just talentless.
Amy Winehouse did not give a hoot, she was talented, but an addict. Katy Perry usually surprises me - she's an actual decent live singer, she's at her best when it's just her & her guitar, she tends to get lost in the gimmick of her OTT performances. Britney Spears is a special case, her dance moves used to be so energetic that she was allowed to lip sync, but now it looks like she can't do the two-step without a steady supply of pure oxygen...and she still lip syncs.

Even the Whites complain as well, Madonna was once pummelled with plastic bottles by her fans for performing on stage half drunk. Beyonce also was once heavily criticized for giving a shambolic stage performance in America.
why shouldn't Davido fans do likewise? They paid their hard-earned money to see a supposed A class artiste perform only to receive mediocrity in return. We ain't got no asslickers here in Africa babe.

FriedPlantain
Exactly, concert tickets are no joke, those things cost money, then you pay the booking fee, then on the day of the concert your butt stands there all night. Don't even get me started on those who spend tons of money on them because touts/companies/douches buy loads of tickets and then sell them at exuberant prices (folks paying thousands for a £100+ ticket or worse paying a similar amount for a £32+ ticket), some even sell phantom tickets....Then after all that wahala, the performer come f*** up? Abeg, me too I go crase well well. Thank God the one concert I paid for went smoothly - Janelle Monáe was awesome.

+ *Shaun of the Dead
*warm bodies
*zombie Land ...you won't regret watching those movies..
3 funny Zombie films. Although Warm Bodies has more of a romantic edge to it. Zombieland is a cult classic (okay maybe new generation, but still awesome), don't know how long the sequel will stay in development hell, but if it has the original cast and/or its special brand of crazy then I'm game for it. Shaun of the Dead is two blokes thinking a trip to their local pub will solve their Zombie problems, it's bloody awesome. Great, now I might be tempted to do a marathon of the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy (AKA Blood & Ice Cream trilogy) and Spaced*.

*For the uninitiated, that's Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz & The World's End. Spaced was the tv series created by Simon Pegg & Jessica Hynes (then Stevenson) & directed by Edgar Wright. It's the thing that started the Pegg-Wright craze. Shame folks always forget Jessica. And Nick Frost also appeared in all of them.

How is earth to echo. Saw the preview sometime ago. Heard Noah was full of shit.

Meanwhile just watched the grand Budapest hotel. I have had this movie for a while and expected some sort if drama to lull me to sleep but was a shocked. It was a comedy with lots of a grade actors and very interesting.

I encourage you to see this movie.

I avoided Earth to Echo. Noah was an odd one, it definitely remixed a lot, but could be considered boring with some nice visuals. I've seen bits of Grand Budapest Hotel & it looked good, I'll be watching that one eventually. So I'd recommend Grand Budapest Hotel.

No offence but are you referring to me as a sheep or what I don't quite understand you
I wasn't referring to you as sheep, I simply meant after all of the things I've read in that section, I'm no longer really surprised by anything I see on NL. For example, that someone actually supports the unapologetic narcissistic Lucious, when all I want is Lucious' death.

I won't bore you with the craziness I've seen from Oncers (Once Upon a Time fans) on Tumblr & Twitter, some folks take their fiction way too seriously that they can't seem to differentiate between the actor and the character.

Oga madam relax, you are not here so shut up!
Let me make it simpler for you. The reality on ground is what you called utter nonsense. Your people said they won't vote APC because of what Fashola did in Alaba and the fact he didn't recorgnize them. How does that reasoning sound to you? Now, since APC will retain power whether they like it or not, isn't it laughable to transfer aggression?
My people? Tinubu has been claimed as a thief, does that make all Yorubas ole? Boko Haram is composed of Northern extremists, does that make all Notherners terrorists? Abeg carry your silliness with you...Folks claiming because some folks of one tribe have decided to bury their heads in the sands of stupidity, that all members of said tribe will follow. Apparently, we Lagosian Igbos all possess a hive mind...
