The female Thor is called Thor. From what I've gathered, original Thor is no longer considered worthy by Mjolnir, and it's chosen a new worthy welder. Well, TPTB have decided to change the "whosoever holds this Hammer" spiel to now be gender neutral (no longer just for dudes or a dude that was transformed into a frog), so as long as they hold Mjolnir they're Thor.

I'm surprised no one is talking about the black Captain America. I can see the fanboys losing their pretty little heads. At least, it looks like Marvel have grown a pair to try to change the status quo.

DC, why hasn't Wonder Woman appeared in a live action anything? Seriously, folks have only had Linda Carter for about 40 years... Superman & Batman have had how many films, how many tv shows, how many actors? Only 1 live action WW...and you say she's part of your big 3.

Geez, Black Widow has appeared as an actual BAMF in the MCU films, and will appear in her own film soon. It's only now they will bring WW in Batman v Superman. This will be her first film appearance. Y'all messed up on that one.

3sha4lyf: Just curios, pls how come no one is concerned bout the size of this lappy screen? 17" screen for studieshuh

Maybe I was a lazy student but I don't see myself walking bout or even using a lappy that big. If I wanted something that big, i'll just get a smart TV or desktop and keyboard and do the rest with it. Thus lappy would have been nice if it had the 15" version and probably with the i7 processor.

Plus, something worth doing is worth doing well... when investing in a lappy as a student, think of life after studies... what would you like to use that same lappy for? can it still meet your needs when you start working or you will need to get a new current one? Pls buy one that has a 3-5years initial product life so that come what may, it won't be obsolete by 2016.
My first laptop was a 17", don't knock it until you've tried it. That thing was a beast though on my shoulder. But, I could watch my films and play my games on a decent screen. Plus, my laptop was the closest thing I had to a TV for a very long time. Personally, I don't buy anything less than a 15" screen laptop.

When HD arrived with its HDMI ports on laptops, I was able to extend my screen to my 32" TV. That's really good for watching and playing, bad for typing/reading though - letters look so small due to the difference in distance.

For me, it's literally things I've seen in passing that has somehow embedded itself in my brain.

8th is Aston Martin.
9th is And1.

For example, I know I have seen the 3rd, 4th and 6th logos before, but can't remember what they're called. I even know the 3rd is a silhouette of Michael Jordan. Yes! Now I remember.

3rd is Air Jordan...technically it's the brand used by Nike for all their Jordan merchandise.

Ahh...Agent Carter, definitely one of the best Marvel one-shots. I hope the TV series will be as good as (or better than) the original short film.

When I renewed my passport, I had the initial problem with payment, since the guys who handle the online payment are a tad bit stupid. Anywho, I simply called the NHC, who explained that I could simply pay in person at Fleet Street. I did that and sharp sharp, got my appointment date, turned up, sorted that out, and collected my passport on the assigned date. And I can't fault them, unlike their American counterpart, who messed up my brother's passport situation so much, the guy had to fly back to Nigeria with temporary papers. Then finally got his new passport in Nigeria. That shtako took more than 4 months.

The thing I find with my fellow Nigerians sometimes, is some folks don't follow instructions and expect they can shout their way through. It says no phones at the front door, folks will be hiding their phone, then it will ring right there in the middle of that big waiting room.
Plus, sometimes folks will do too much sharp guy, and divert their course to the wayside, all by themselves.

Although, yes, we do have some down right bastards in minimal positions of power, let's not forget the other usual idiots in the actual seats of power... Oh well.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the night sky...thanks to the lack of light pollution (PHCN always holding power) in Nigeria, you get to see the night sky more. All my years in England, I've only experienced blackouts thrice, it's always funny. Some folks would be panicking.

Number 9, you can actually get a bargain, if you ask. Obviously, you don't try this in a supermarket or a proper store, but you can do this in 2nd hand shops.

C'mon, you can even get free water (tap water) over here (UK), just ask. Some places might try to charge you though. The last place I went to that did this, I took the glass they served me with. I would tell them they charged me for using the pint glass. I would even give them additional warning that I would be taking it, they'd agree.
Seriously, I do not want to get arrested for a pint glass...that would be highly embarrassing.

15 years ago .. He killed that dog

Then he jettisons Fitz-Simmons (harmless geeks)
Ward is officially on the darkside - Fitz is never gonna be the same again, for that alone he deserves to die. Oh well, we've got Triplett - that man is really pretty on the eyes.

Those geeks aren't exactly harmless, they can probably create a WMD with tinfoil and toothpicks.

I was the only one at the last place I worked that followed this, it slowly improved then from episode 16 it turned into a BAMF. Plus, it tied in well with MCU films (especially things that happened in Thor: The Dark World & Captain America: The Winter Soldier affected the story; some characters introduced in the short films also appear here).
It's your typical Whedon show, a big bad of the week with a season long story arc that goes off with a bang, plus witty banter. One day Joss Whedon will make a show I won't like, until that day comes, I'll keep watching his shows.

RayMcBlue: Dumb show with shitty characters. Since it's a Marvel production, it's to be expected however.
I see you're still trolling...someone give this guy a hug, he really needs one.

Big Bad Thanos..
Am really looking forward in seeing this movie.
And if it's a huge success it paves way for other space(out of this world) movies.

So with what you've seen in GOTG,are you looking forward to a Sequel?
Hell yes! I must hear the Awesome Mix Vol. 2, a sequel seems certain with the same writer-director (James Gunn) doing it.

Finally watched this, I was expecting a straight action film not a masala film, some scenes felt rushed, others felt like they were missing bits that were cut off. I enjoyed the film, but it could have been better.

The Mad Titan smiley

Was he on screen for a Cameo appearance,or he had a bigger role in GOTD?
He does have a scene, where he speaks and looks imposing. He does kinda drive the plot a bit, since Nebula & Gamora are his adopted children...as you know that guy has issues...and he has an agreement with Ronan.

Guykhena: Does it rhyme with "Boward the Hawk" grin (don't ask me how I know, love spoilers grin )

Hmm,
Was the characters all filled with humour or were there a bit of seriousness in them?
Yup, every one and their mama knows that, but I was trying to be good.

Star-Lord: funny guy, still a kid at heart, you'll definitely laugh during the title credit sequence. There's a proper WTF funny scene during the big battle. He's responsible for the majority of the comedy in this film. Chris Pratt owns this role.
Drax: Serious, though his comedy comes from the fact that he takes things too literally.
Groot: this tree practically says the same thing over and over again, but has his moments. And seriously by the end you'll just want to hug him. Marvel making me have mushy feelings for a gorram tree!
Rocket: he's a talking raccoon, of course he's funny in a BAMF way.
Gamora: serious, but does have one of the best "nope this ain't gonna happen" lines I've heard in a film.

It's kinda like Iron-Man - kinda serious kinda funny, whole lotta butt kicking.

Guykhena: Gist us.
Was it Humour filled? smiley

And did you get to see the Post-Credits scene?
Yup, we definitely laughed. There's a cute mid-credit scene, and a post credit scene that roughly 80% of the audience didn't get. I laughed my butt off, since I won't mind seeing the character again. There will definitely be a sequel. 70s/80s music also plays a part in it, thanks to Star-Lord's Walkman.

Guykhena: GOTD Tops Cap 2 and Thor 2 Opening Days

With $11.2M in domestic late nights, Disney/Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy bested the studios’ own start for Captain America: The Winter Soldier earlier this year. And it was a similar story abroad where the James Gunn-directed space chase earned $11M across its first day on Thursday. In total this weekend, GOTG hits about 40 markets. Among the openings yesterday were the UK, Russia, Korea, and Brazil. Those are key markets which were among the top consumers of Cap 2, and that’s one of the movies that Disney is using as a key comp today when it points to the strong starts around the globe. Russia was reliably receptive with a $3.2M opening day, the single biggest take of any territory so far. Across Asia/Pacific, Guardians earned about $3.4M from seven territories. Korea opened with $900K. That was 25% ahead of Thor 2 on a day for day basis, and is a very healthy number in a crowded field. There are two giant local movies at the Korean box office right now, Kundo: Age Of The Rampant and Roaring Currents. Across the region, Guardians‘ first day was 19% biger than Cap 2 and 37% bigger than Thor 2.
In the UK/Ireland, Guardians opened to $2.3M in previews, which is 8% above the opening day of Cap 2. IMAX results in the UK were worth 12% of the box office, off just 2% of the screen count. Without breaking out numbers just yet, Disney says box office in all of the other European territories where Guardians released Thursday easily surpassed opening day figures for Cap 2. In Latin America, Brazil got hooked on a feeling to the tune of $800K yesterday. GOTG also bowed in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay and Central America, and earned a total $1.6M across the region. That was 7% up on Thor 2 and 9% up on Cap 2. Mexico opens today. Both it and Brazil should be hot spots for Groot and Co — keen as they are to embrace lesser known characters. They were the top two markets for the first Captain America. They were four and five for Cap 2.

Wow,anyone seen this movie yet?
Saw this yesterday - it's awesome.
