oyaskii: Kaya Scodelario is trying to find her feet and I haven't been particularly impressed with her acting so far..The story line of this looked Cliché but from your perspective was it any good?
I had no clue about the film before I watched it, as it was a secret screening and I hadn't seen the advert. Not bad, I did laugh in some places. Not sure if that was their intention, but I tend to laugh at stupid horror characters. As for the actress, she doesn't need to impress me, since I've known her from Skins. In fact those gen 1 kids from Skins are still killing it. Daniel Kaluuya, Dev Patel, Nicholas Hoult (was already big from About a Boy), Hannah Murray & Joe Dempsie. Kaya even did gen 2 sef as well. She simply needs to choose better projects.
hulk616: TheKingIsHere please stop calling that mod now someone can get ban. I promise I will not talk about sport again.
I'm not a supermod. And y'all need to chill with the mentions. Geez, I thought it was the conception thread acting up again, since the jamb thread has been quiet.
Ibime: If you are born after 1983,.you only need one parent to be British.
Prior to 1984, you had to be born in Britain or your father had to be British.
By 1984, being born in Britain no longer qualified you for citizenship . . . . but maternal citizenship was recognized.
I was born in Britain just before the law changed while my brother who was born in Naija after the law change was lucky to.get qualification through maternal parentage.
See, this fella right here explained himself like a civilised individual unlike the other person. I said the marriage thing because it was easier to use paternal citizenship to get things done, and I didn't want to write story of life. Granted, it's been a while since I've read up on that side of things. So, I stand corrected, thanks for the correction.
nairalanduseles: Omg u re just typing trash U only need one parent to be a resident And they don't have to be married And you don't have to be a resident for 10 years Da fck outta here
If you say so, last time I checked the citizenship thing followed the pop's line. And as someone who's actually got dual citizenship via the 10 years thing, I guess I really know nothing.
EDIT: https://www.gov.uk/long-residence Random note: the only thing they appear to have changed in the wording is that they've removed "or illegally" after legally. I guess they really are closing all the loopholes.
jrusky: I just asked a question why not allow him to answer?
Yea if you are born in UK you have the right to British Passport *BUt* if you are born in UK but live all your life outside the UK you will be given *right of aboard* to fly to UK with no visa with your birth Cert etc then when you get to UK you can now process your passport. My wife had similar situation but went back when she was 19 years old that was the procedure she passed through I have never witnessed or heard British passport was parcel or given to someone who has never owned the passport ever before in foreign land especially Nigeria so if you have heard of such kindly let us know.
If you don't belief me Pls go to www.gov.uk you will see your answer there boldly written. .Google is your friend bro.
If they were born before 1983, son of the soil works. It really is that simple. Granted, they messed up a family friend's application for years (born in the UK before 1983, grew up in Nigeria), got played by the British embassy in Nigeria for so long that once the Home Office finally found out, the incompetent people got straight up fired. As in, they told my guy, "point", oh boy open yash finish.
Now, if you're born after 1983, ain't simple at all. Both your parents have to be citizens and married. Or you've have to have lived as a resident for 10 years or an entrepreneur (with like proper money in your account) for 5 years.
Rubicon67: If you are travelling to the UK, you only need to present your British passport. However, when/if you are coming back to Nigeria for whatever reason, you will need your Nigerian passport or an entry visa on your British passport.
Having said that, it is to my understanding that you can only apply for a British passport from the British consulate in the country where you currently reside. Currently, first time application of a British passport** must be PRESENT for biometric data capture etc. How your passport got sent from the UK is a mystery to me but maybe yours is an EXCEPTIONAL case.
Actually, they'll still need to show their Nigerian passport, since their British one will not have a Nigerian visa in it. Yes, they're leaving the country, but immigration will still look to see that they actually got in legally.
**those guys will even ask for both your parents' and grandparents' DoB. As for the biometrics, as long as there are facilities that can take the biometrics, it can be done anywhere. All na digital, so it can be sent to the UK with no issue.
I refuse to let that non-existent word to enter my phone's dictionary. Some really weird a$$ expensive a$$ s**t in this show. That's how there's one gym membership, with like 4 floors of randomness and one basement size actual gym area. It had like $50k initiation fee and everything was still bloody a la carte. That's way above my paygrade.
The off screen info I read about the cast crew was interesting, The lead character is well into his 50s but could carry out a very impressive fight scene. He was carry a serious back injury in the first fight scene on the beach, he said kicking was very painful for him, but we never knew.
having his first led roll when he is in his 50s, a late bloomer perhaps.
He's hella fit. Action scenes were great, although I wanted to kill the child, since they were the stereotypical child that does annoying s**t. To be frank, it was a revenge film with decent action choreography & not much else.
chubbyman: Correct me if I'm wrong, pro evolution soccer 2019 is the same as PES 2019 right, cause that game is still very recent and don't understand why Sony would include it as a freebie for next month or I'm I missing something.
The publisher/developer has to agree first to begin with. Plus, Konami don't seem to care for their video games, they want to live in pachinko, since it's raining money for them. PES19 that was like £8 at some point, it's been heavily discounted several times.
A flawed film can be entertaining. Bright had lazy world building and some silly plot points, but I was still entertained by it. Jupiter Ascending was a large disappointment, but the world building was so excellent that I still kinda want a better produced sequel. Granted, I now view it as a comedy.
MobileGees: As cool as it may seem that a character was developed from the Nigerian myth, its sad that the Nigerian game devs arent taking serious enough to be invested in because we have great game developers here for both mobile and console gaming who basically need funding to achieve this.
After wakanda fever and children of blood bones, its obvious that we are the final frontier but our corporate industries cant think out of the box to invest in a multi billion dollar industry until people come from other countries to highjack the space .
And that is being done with this masterpiece, which could go on to become the game of the year
But the question is that will the white man be able to tell our story better than we that are the original owners of the culture?
Lalasticlala
That's a very misleading headline. This is simply a new character in the video game Smite.
Something ain't adding up, since the judge has now struck off the case, what the heck is the bank doing with her money? Shouldn't this be grounds for them to return it and deal with their insurance company?
