abduljabbar4:Story. I live with said native speakers, it's usually the ignorant ones that will sprout what you're sprouting. It's a form of self defence. If English is too much for you, write in the language you know and/or learn from your mistakes. |
This is surprising... |
HyDef:I was actually thinking of film franchises, but yup those ones also count. |
Doctor Who. |
The Good Place. This show is just awesome, it practically reinvents itself with each season. I basically now rewatch the whole thing every week, while I'm waiting for the next new episode. |
MJBOLT:Oh dang! King Pin is back and everything is going to s**t for the Man without Fear. I'm ready for this. |
wintersnow:No. Why didn't you answer the damn question man?! Since you're clearly invested in it? |
Minemrys:Actually, all studios are cowards when it comes to superhero films. WB actively changed from Tim Burton's dark Batman films (which are surprisingly rated PG-13, in fact over here they were rated 12 in the cinema, but 15 on home video. 15UK is usually R in US like the Deadpool films) to the more comedic slapstick tone that justified the PG-13 ratings. Hence why we lost dark live action Batman in the 90s and he practically crashed & died with Bat nips AKA Batman & Robin. Even Christopher Nolan's praised Dark Knight trilogy is PG-13. Fox with Deadpool franchise, the only current superhero film franchise with a R rating. Life is not a superhero film, so apples & oranges. The only other superhero films (or at least based on comic book entities) rated R are Blade (except Bade Trinity) & The Punisher (all of them). |
MJBOLT:My issue with Venom is that its origin relies heavily on Spider-Man AND Peter Parker. Granted, I'm okay with change with the story if it makes sense - like the X-Men until they destroyed the timeline and I had to really start looking at them as AUs. X3 is terrible on both a fanboy & non-fanboy perspective, especially since the Cure storyline is one of the comics I actually own and it brought back Colossus from the grave. Plus, it had one of my fave covers (Kitty phasing through Colossus) and it was written by Joss Whedon. Anywho, it's odd that a Venom origin story doesn't include Spidey, since Eddie and the symbiote's hatred for both Spidey & Peter is essential to them bonding as Venom. So, I've been apprehensive to giving Venom a shot. Plus, that "...turd in the wind" line doesn't help matters at all. That line has almost single handedly made me not want to watch it, regardless of the fact, that this live action Venom is very visually accurate. |
blingxx:DCEU have only really proven themselves with WW. Let's see how they do with Aquaman & Shazam first, since they've already killed themselves with their own hype. They've exhausted their benefit of the doubt. I'm not even remotely interested in the Joker film at all. They've spoiled themselves for me. |
MJBOLT:I refuse to see it on principle, they should just torrent the film. They already messed up the Phoenix story, and this Jean Grey hasn't earned the story yet. |
MJBOLT:I saw this about 30 minutes after Marvel released it on YouTube. At work on a 49" 4K TV. There I was actively trying to look like I was not watching it. As a teaser trailer, it did its job. Although, I still see the blockbuster video building as bad CGI. |
I'm honestly more concerned about the lack of punctuation in the the first 3 posts. I'm especially concerned with the OP's post... More Richer?! It's either more rich or richer, incorrect use of superlatives is a pet peeve of mine. This pet peeve is also trumped by my ultimate pet peeve, the incorrect use of the apostrophe, which I can see with its omission in "whos", which should be who's. At least, you didn't use richest/wealthiest or most rich/most wealthy, since this is only between two entities not three or more. |
Apparently, PS revealed their November PS+ PS4 line-up early. They seem to have sorted it out now.
|
Just finished Night School. |
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Oh, I'm ready for this nonsense... EDIT: 5 minutes in...10 minutes in... maybe I wasn't ready for the nonsense. |
MJBOLT:The mind boggles. In any other continent, they will try to call it anything else other than a Ponzi scheme... but, in Africa, they wear it like a badge of honour. Sheep. |
PRESENTATION:Fixed matches are always illegal, it's like insider trading - someone claiming to know the outcome of something, thanks to information (that isn't known to the general public). It's big business in sports gambling, especially in the criminal circles. I know there was big wahala in international cricket, a while ago. While over here in NL world, it's pure concentrated scam. |
When folks are warning y'all, y'all won't listen. Fixed matches are illegal EVERYWHERE, just like Ponzi schemes. It's only in Africa where something is clearly illegal, that people will willingly flock to it |

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. I'm looking forward to Finest Girl way too much. That song is so silly and catchy as hell. |
Wait a sec, how's she shading WizKid? Her response is a common response, y'all are out here insulting the woman. You seem more concerned about her than yourselves. After all your yammering, it's not like the guy y'all are supposedly defending will give you the time of day... |
Humans. |
Thegamingorca:He redacted it, so we can't see it. |
