Goke7: Players like VO comes once in a generation and when he’s done or retired it will take donkey years to see another Nigerian striker like him. We’ve not produced a striker like him since Yekini. I just laugh at those condemning all about him. Has Uruguay produced another striker like the ear biting Suarez?.
When you have such players you focus more on what they deliver to you and manage their excesses that’s best practice all over. Vinicius is another character did he not produce all the goods for Real Madrid? Gattuso was a mad man per excellence did Italy not win the World Cup with him? We Africans especially Nigerians are always looking for unnecessary perfection from people which doesn’t exist anywhere and that’s why we keep underperforming.
Am beginning to like Eric Chelle more no matter what you say about his players he sticks with them no matter what as far as they deliver. If it’s a Nigerian coach players like Nwabali would have been removed to please self righteous Nigerians. He’s bringing that westerner mentality where you focus on what’s being delivered instead of looking for moral perfection and he said it in his interview with Segun Odegbami he’s looking for warriors on the pitch not gentlemen 😂 he himself na werey wey wan slap that Congolese in that wcq play offs! Benzema had off field issue with his team mate, Deschamp dropped him. France went on to win the WC. If I am the coach I will start phasing him out, until he becomes humble. |

Me I like Osihmen die, but he need to know that the team is not about him. This is Super Eagles with huge Heritage and rich history, many of the players in this team are top players, he should play more for the team, the goals will eventually come.
On to the DRC/Algeria game. |

Samueltemi337: Omo this talk don dey go far
Yes Osimhen shouldn't have reacted that way That was uncalled for But wetin dey bring all these talk of jealousy Its Jealousy, his childish PlayerFC fan boys want him to be the main man, they cant just stand the fact that Lookman has clearly outperformed him so far just like in the last AFCON. You might not notice it but thats the fact, and that character is what we dont want in the team. |

Subzero0477: I don’t care who is outperforming who, if everybody starts playing for individual records we won't go far Its Osihmen that plays for personal records if not he shouldn’t be shouting at his teammates to release ball only to him |

Subzero0477: Yes I'm defending Osimhen because Lookman frustrated me too especially in the first half, Osimhen would run his ass off to create spaces and chances but when it comes to Lookmans turn he will try to turn every touch into a shot on goal, Osimhen later lashed out of pent up frustration in the second half but like I said he was justified to air out his grievances, I hope Lookman understands he's not totally innocent in this saga and fix up I think you Osihmen immature fanboys are just jealous of Lookman. Because he is outperforming Osihmen in 2 consecutive tournaments so far |

EEGA: Can you drop Osimhen to the bench for our next game, as a means of punishing him for today's act?
Of course, you can't.
But Lookman can be dropped for Chukwueze, anytime anyday.
The team always collapses in the absence of Osimhen. We saw this against DR Congo.
We are yet to face a tough side in this tournament, only then will you cherish Osimhen and the X-factor he brings to the team.Case closed. You no well i swear person that is going for player of the tournament you wan drop, because Osihmen with 2 tap ins refused to behave himself? |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by CapitalCee(m): 10:53pm On Jan 05 |
EEGA: Osimhen is the most important player in this team.
He is always unselfish infront of goal. You recall the pass from Osimhen that Onuachu failed to convert b4 scoring via FDB assist.
Lookman should be more of a team player. We are grateful, he has a knack of assisting his team mates.
Akor's is understandable because he is yet to register a goal in this tournament.
This team needs a happy and motivated Osimhen.
They wouldn't have qualified without him.
He deserves some respect from his teammates.
We are yet to play Senegal and DR Congo, which I consider the best teams in the tournament. A player with 4 assists so far this season should be more of a team player? Please i need some that substance you are taking |

Moniter0: But actually Osimhen has arrived, let's not forget he literally carried this team when lookman and the rest were all playing rubbish, he could have done better with his temper tonight though but let's not disrespect him and pretend we don't know his quality. When he was playing Rubish during the last AFCON didnt Lookman carry the team. So because he carried the team when lookman was having club issues, he should start misbehaving like a child? |

Bannedlargejr: Thunder faya your head. Lookman is 100% the best player at this Tournament. Let’s stop lying Leave them to be yarning dust, we need Osihmen but Lookman has been our best player in this tournament. The only match Lookman was rested, Osihmen no even see goal score |

Clint02: Na why I dey vex for am. Osimhen himself has killed forward plays many times, wasted and missed many opportunities. I don't know why he's acting as if he's perfect. He himself is not perfect, and he's angry at others who are also imperfect but even better than he is. Some people are saying we cant play without him, thats a fat lie, yes has more quality than other alternatives but we can play without him. His 2 goals today were tap ins which anyone can score. |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by CapitalCee(m): 10:37pm On Jan 05 |
Why did Osihmen lash out to Lookman? Thats very Childish, is he the only person to score? Lookman is clearly performing better than him in this tournament, Let it not be that he is jealous oo. He needs to keep his head down, this his attitude should not be tolerated. Him and Lookman are the same level in football. He needs to manage his ego |

Goke7: That is why I mentioned earlier that SA may need to do like France or Belgium to tap into the talent pool of their huge immigrant base who are already SA citizens to boost their national team football, and then mix with their lean local pool.
Enough of this SA conversation sef, we get match today Excellent. That was what France did. France was just not good enough to compete until they started tapping into immigrants talents. They should find a way to Naturalise Immigrants children born there especially Nigerians and Ghanians. But Xenophobia no go let them |

Goke7: You guys should take it easy, SA has produced huge talents in the past, yes, they are not plenty like Nigeria, but to say Steve Pienarr was not a great player is just bad belle, ask Yakubu Aiyegbeni, that was the guy feeding him assists in their days at Everton. Lol. You don reduce am to great player 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Steven Piernaar is just a decent average player, he is not a great player we all watched him at Everton. Its not about plenty of great players. We are talking about quality. Ghana is a smaller country than SA they have produce far better quality players all round than SA. Likewise Senegal and Cameroon. My main point is naturally SouthAfricans are not just good in football its a genetics thing. |

FiveFootNinja: Dude, we literally gave you guys a two-year headstart on the World Cup qualifiers and we still came from 5th place and almost topped the group on the last day. Lack of preparation cost us the ticket. Look how things are now that our squad is settled and beginning to gel. We secured 9 points out of 9 - one of only two teams to achieve this feat in this year's AFCON. It’s cute that you remember the qualifiers sha. Nostalgia is all you have left now that Cameroon has sent you to the departure lounge. Same Cameroon that couldnt qualify for WC don trashed them comot for AFCOn. |
