A win against a poor Palace team that played on Thursday. Its a very very poor performance. A win but I see problems. Hope Carrick arrests these poor showings.

He had injury issues that I suspect were linked to a growth spurt. He is now about 6”2 and very quick.

He actually made his Under-21 debut last season at 16 before he had ever played Under-18. Hopefully he is past his injury woes.

I just watched a few clips of him now. The boy is actually good we need to develop him properly.

I think is too early concluding Carrick is the right man for the job.l feel he is going to do wonderfully well till end of season.If he is retain next season will be the real test.Moyes was tactically better yesterday.He practically render our midfield useless.The way Cuhna was marked yesterday made me remember Herara(nt sure spelling is right) on Hazard during Mourinho stint with us.

We missed Dorgu who always stretch the opposition with his work rate before Cunha enters in the second have. Dorgu, Shaw, Amad and Dalot inverts very well that is why Bruno has the freedom in our first few matches.

And we also miss Martinez. In our Match against Everton Line breaking passes responsibility was left for Mainoo and Casemiro in the second phase yet they are no where near Martinez who does it at first phase and expertly too.

I like the tactical reading of Carrick and his team. If given the opportunity to find the right more available fit they will do well. I am not saying they should hire him though

I think the club is doing all they can.

He starts most games and is one of the least rotated of the players.

The 1st team coaches including Carrick attend most of the games if there is no fixture clash letting him know they are watching closely and have interest in him.

He has been called to 1st team training several times to allow him get a feel for it.

The next thing is to give him a debut as soon as he is legally able to, which will be at the start of next season. He will most likely go on the tour with the 1st team and get a league debut early in the season. He might still spend most of the season in the academy but that senior debut and modern Man Utd record is a must for him and his dad.

The club might also be sorting his dad privately but that is another matter.

Excellent , i can guarantee you that if is City they will keep him

I think the major issue is that the boy himself seems to be a Barca fan. He is a Messi/ Neymar/Yamal fan.

He is also a Nike Ambassador and those ones have been doing kurukere moves to get him to Barca.

So how do we keep him, at least till we are able to sell him for a huge fee and reinvest. Afterall VVD is a man utd fan but ended up at Liverpool

Daniel Armer. Very good passer and reads the game well. He is left footed unlike Maguire but unfortunately you are right that he is slow like Maguire. He was also not physically strong last season but he has put on muscle this season and is much stronger.

His lack of pace probably means he won’t make it here. He has everything else. The same issue with his partner Mills.

The most complete CB in the academy currently is Ngwashi but that one is a doctor. I have not seen any major weakness in his game but he appears only once in a blue moon.

I’m a bit worried about Amad. He’s not as dangerous as he once was. His ambition and hunger has taken a hit. He still puts in the effort and his work in the team is evident.

But I’d like him to be more daring in certain moments or even have the belief that he can make something happen. Instead he just takes the safest options in most cases when faced with some difficulty.

It’s almost as if his growth has stagnated. Hopefully it’s another stage in his arc and he can become extremely dangerous in the next months cos I know how talented he is.

Amad ia still dangerous and is one of our best and most important players, his Ambition is still intact, he is a human being so will witness reset sometimes, he is putting in the rigjt work and attitude

Yes, Sesko has the box movement and aerial presence to work well against low blocks, and Cunha has just enough dribbling, invention, long-range shooting, and pace to trouble any block (low or high). He just needs to work on his touch, which can sometimes be loose.

Amad can work against any block as well. Once he improves his finishing and starts targeting and hitting the far post area of the goal, e don be for EPL LBs.

You are correct on all the players. Amad seems to be the only person in our team that can comfortably take on defenders. Even Bruno is good too against low block.
I think the key issue we had versus low block is the pace of our defenders If we get a proper press resistant Midfielders and Pacy defenders we will prosper against low block teams. And I hate to say this, but Arsenal strategy of using setpieces as an alternative to unlock teams like that is what we should try to use tpo

The manner in which he does it is also Important. If he just does Jama jama and wuruwuru to the answer to get it then that is not sustainable or easily repeatable.

In all our excitement we should try avoid repeating the Ole mistake.

Not as explicit as your post but when i mentioned Carrick's coaching crew it was Holland i was talking about.

Carrick with Boro was known for setting up his teams to create chances but they also conceded chances. At least that is what heard. So, this our defensive solidity is probably partly due to Holland.

Woodgate has also been mentioned as a very good coach too
