Frigga13: Bro the reform has good intentions for the Nigerians
But that part that has Tinubu’s interest is the major deceit that sensible Nigerians are against.
You will never see a governor or elder statesmen support the bill.. even in his Yoruba cabinet..
Reason why his tribe and few.. jobbers are trying to promote it… they give less attention to that area and tells you how companies and small medium , earners and blahs will benefit..
But telling you that Tinubu is grabbing out Lagos and it tax out .. what ordinarily should be for the country
Tell us how states like Ekiti or Calabar or ebonyi will benefit from this
What are the investment in those states to be sufficiently raised funds ..
Forget all those stories .. is an evil chalice to pocket Nigeria
Let them have their way.. Nigerians will have theirs someday soon
Calabar is not a state.
And you obviously do not understand the proposed bills.
Whatever is done in the spirit of fairness and progress is good. No be dey one wey baboon go dey work, monkey go dey chop.
In all, we must admit that state governors are the cancer of this nation. They know nothing, do nothing, and only lazy about with their fat bellies waiting for free VAT & Oil money from Abuja.
does anyone in that video or picture look like they can afford 280k for dna test - in this economy? what use will a dna test be to a man of that age and in those circumstances?
Aprocco: Answer- Why can't Dangote leave other sellers to import in peace while he exports as he has severally threatened and even earn FX proceeds.
Why can't he export? Are his products too expensive for international markets?
1. Can he allow holders of import licence sell in peace so that hapless Nigerians can buy whichever product they can afford?
2. If the importers who buy with FX, accrue freight are able to sell lower than him who buys in Naira and has incomparable freight cost, let him sell his refinery to those who understand the business.
3. It's not a permit to restrict Nigerians to a single seller they cannot afford.
4. Dangote's refinery is a private business, petrol is a public good Government must ensure affordability to the most vulnerable Nigerian either by building refineries, licensing private construction or trading.
To aid the local refinery, Government has allocated FX at concessionary rate, contributed equity, sold crude in Naira, etc to give Dangote the competitive edge, Government also has an obligation to ensure there's no monopoly so as not to allow profit motive of a man who wouldn't mind recouping $20B investment in 6 months override the survival need of the populace
FashionCookie: Some just hate Harris because, she's a woman. Una think say na Nigeria be this? Tueh!
All this blackmail will not work.
The Prime Minister of Italy is a woman, same with Denmark, Thailand, Iceland, Ethopia, Georgia etc. All women.
Nobody has a thing against women.
Under Trump, America did not start any new war, and the American economy was better. Energy cost was lower, groceries were cheaper, and the borders were better secured.
Voting Trump is common sense for most Americans.
How can you want Harris with her War-mongering backers? How can you want somebody that supports gender reassignment in kids?
A true believer in God cannot support the evil that is unfolding in the world.
Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, who is the founder of OPM was recently in China.
During the trip, He was given a baby boy treatment as part of a special hospitality package for him as he was fed at a meal table by some young Chinese Girls while other sang Chinese Songs at the background.
The Cleric who is famous for his philanthropy including the recent gesture for the embattled #HappieBoys is also the King of his community in Abia State.
Using your warped logic why are you belittling NASA's achievements given you can't even put LEGO together?
You bought into Elon's self-promotion. Self-landing rockets don't move the space exploration needle all that much. Musk is nowhere near sending anyone to Mars (dumb proposition anyway) despite decades of endless promises. His self-driving cars are nowhere, robotaxi event was a scam, his robots were remote-controlled by humans, Neuralink has not proven anything yet, Boring Company is a bust, hyperloop is a bust, his Tesla sales are tanking with Chinese rivals giving him a bloody nose (even Lucid cars are better put together and more efficient), Twitter is worth a fraction of what he bought it for and still shedding advertisers without becoming "X, the Everything App" he promised, SpaceX is not profitable. His only profitable company is still the tepid Tesla.
Face it, the only thing he has working is Starlink (and rivals are catching up),
As for your link about astronauts returning, what's your point? They were stranded because of Boeing, not NASA.
Stop dick-riding a self-promoting billionaire who buys his way into companies, pays engineers to do their jobs, and then takes credit for wat he didnt do himself.
Where in my comment did I belittle NASA's achievement?
You take this so personally, why are you triggered?
I said do not belittle the man's achievement and you call that dick-riding?
Nasa has been buildup rockets since the 1950s, has sent probes to all the planets in the solar system, built Hubble and JWST which have made invaluable contribution to our knowledge of the cosmos, sent men to the moon from the 1960s using technology they had to develop from scratch, landed rovers on Mars, and contributed to the development of new technologies including computer RAM.
What did Musk do? Besides flinging his car into space for no damn reason he's not even left low earth orbit.
As for landing boosters: heck, Amazon is doing it, the Chinese are doing .
You're talking down on people to seem superior?
Until you achieve a fraction of what Musk has, you have no justification to belittle his achievements.
LocalFARMERS: I stay away from refined Sugar. I mostly use honey instead of Sugar. Recently I decided to use Date fruits as alternative to Sugar. Since Date fruit is a naturally sweet fruits. It's sweetness is extremely high and it has no negative effect on our health.
bassdow: Another is it's height. Hopefully it's at least 15-feets away from any structure. Have thought of planting one myself but after doing research, and speaking to hausa persons who knows it well, I doubt I have such space. Imagine make such tree come fall towards your structure, this one everything don cost
Kobojunkie: The EFCC was established via the EFCC Establishment Act of 2002(Amended in 2004) to act as an arm of the Law Enforcement in Nigeria commissioned to combat economic and financial crimes, thereby enabling the Commission to prevent, investigate, prosecute and penalize economic and financial crimes.
2. The EFCC is not a State that it should be said to compete in any way with the federalism status of States or LGs in the country though. It is instead a Law enforcement agency and like all Law enforcement in Nigeria at this time, its jurisdiction covers all levels of the country.
You are right.
Will they also say the Nigerian police is unconstitutional?
I keep saying that the state governors are the biggest problem in Nigeria.
Dogalmighty17: To generate 1mw of electricity, you need something north of 1 million USD. Understandably, power generation and transmission is very expensive but the only reason why Nigeria has never managed to generate above 7000mw is because of the blind and mindless looting of useless political class in Nigeria.
Egypt had the same issue of blackouts Nigeria has but it got Samsung onboard and in less than 6 years, samsung solved that issue. Egypt now comfortably generates over 60,000mw.
Samsung was actually invited into Nigeria to proffer solutions to our power problem by the late Kyari during Buhari's time but since the man died none of the bastards in the ministry of power have pursued that deal with Samsung.
So 1mw = $1 million?
And Nigeria needs about 88,000 Megawatts of electricity to achieve a 24/7 electricity availability?
mejetov422: Somebody need to be sacked. I mean the minister of power and some companies licences should be revoked.
What's all this nonsense...
Countries are generating in Gigawatts why Nigeria a country with over 200million people are still battling with Megawatts.
I understand megawatts can be converted into kilowatts and also gigawatts, but base on what they posted we need around 88gw to achieved a 24/7 electricity but writing it as megawatts we look like something that's not achievable. Where as it is something we can fully achieve without breaking a sweat.
As of 2022 we have the capacity to generate 22gw but till now we are still battling with 4.5 and 4.8gw of electricity.
rentAcock: There's nothing special about this meal, just another way to eat yam and plantain both very starchy foods. There's nothing nutritious about this meal, it's just another way to get pot belly and diabetes. We are in the 21st century and most of us are educated, its high time we start applying some of that education rather than continuing with old traditions that are unhealthy. Eat salad, include grains, fruits, vegetables, protein and drink lots of water.
NairalandForumo: Looks like food poisoning, may be direct may be indirect...
Yes, also to prevent any reoccurrence to any other person. Charcoal is one of the fastest methods to clear poison from the system, I'm surprised no one suggested it even in the hospital not even the doctors.
Just maybe it would have helped...
May their souls rest in peace and condolences to the family and loved ones
GerogeI: If you are in band A, To reduce your bill, and turn the 24 hours into advantage, 1. Put your refrigerator on half duty cycle, it should be off at night. You either use a timer switch (cost about 10k on Jumia) or you switch it off and on manually - labour intensive. Any night you forget is about 2 kwh or credit units or about N500.
2. Invest in grid tied Solar system. This takes advantage of the 20 hours power availability. You do not need to buy batteries, but you need a good Hybrid solar inverter with grid connection. For every 4 used solar panels, you will produce 1kwh of electricity daily. The more you have the more you produce. As a rule of thumb, each 300w solar panel will give you an average of 50w for 5 hours or 250wh or 0.25kwh.
A normal house with lighting TV and refrigerator, without Air conditioner consumes about 6 kwh daily. Putting your refrigerator on day cycle will reduce 1.5 kwh or credit units leaving 4.5. Adding 5 solar panels, will reduce it to 3.5 kwh. Adding 10 Solar panels will reduce it to 2.5 kW hour. Because you must use lighting and fan at night, you cannot go lower than 2.5 kwh daily without investing in Storage batteries which are the costliest part of solar with 2 or 3 years short life span.
At 2.5 kwh per day your electricity bill for band A will be 2.5 x30 days x N230= N18000 approx. Not bad for 24 hours light.
