Politics / The Diary Of Iyabo And Esu Odara ( The Politics) By Alabi Opeyemi Oladimeji by Captainope(m): 1:22am On May 13, 2019
IYABO got her self into trouble with Senator okon uche , after accusing him of sponsoring a top terrorist group disturbing the country and some other corruption and her supposed proof got lost , senator okon who is the presidential candidates and the favourite to win the election took her to court and she was giving 4weeks to prove her self right or she face 29 years imprisonment

Meanwhile last night ESU took a vacation from the heavenly realm and decided to use it on earth and more trouble for IYABO as ESU took the human form and decide to use the vacation with her not minding may be she would like it or not would it add to her problems or would it be the solution..?
It was a rough day at work and more depression for iyabo the state (C.P) commissioner of police gave her just 4 weeks to proof that senator okon who is currently a candidates running for the office of the President of the federal republic is of Nigeria is guilty of sponsoring the terrorist group and corruption allegation. Not only that she has been  handed  house to work arrests so she won't escape and that won't give her enough time to investigate

THURSDAY 5:38PM WEEK 1

She entered her apartment that was  fully  guarded  from the states she regretted making the statement on national TV and radios now the news has gone viral about Mr okon been a murderers she once had the proof on her desk before it got lost the proof was in a 2gb memory card which she says contain some videos, audios, and recorded phone calls she did not know how it all got lost , iyabo was investigating her fathers death before some how the investigation was linked to the senate president Mr okon who was got furious of the allegations claiming innocence and believed she was working for the opposition  political party  in other to spoil is presidential bid he vowed to take the matter to court which he later did but iyabo claimed she had evidence which make the tribunal court gave her 4weeks to produced the crucial evidence she claim to have..

Iyabo POV

I got into my apartment regretting all my actions
yeah I know that my proof was solid I went through all the videos audios and recorded call that shows Mr okon is a great murderer and a corrupt individual I was so careless I  dropped the memory card on my desk and boom everything disappeared why didn't I copy all
AIT, NTA, and channels TV carried my live broadcast
I saw a similarity suspect while i was investigating my father's death I collected the proof from one of Mr okon assassins that has been sentenced to death by hanging he had all the evidence with him and he made me swear to expose Mr okon as he claimed Mr okon has destroyed his life despite working for him passionately for the past 15 years  he said he has been keeping some useful evidence which is collected inside the memory card.
And now look at me I now look like a fool I trusted my co-workers I forgot  that trusting everyone is a great sin I know some one would have stolen the memory card and send it to Mr okon, has boys in the Nigerian police but why did I forget. Now I have no one to suspect

While thinking about everything I heard a knock on my door ko ko ko I opened the main entrance leading to my parlour i saw the guards who told me one Mr wale is looking for me
" let him in "
I said instantly wale has been my boyfriend and my only family since I lost my mum in a bomb attack and my dad in a gun attack life has been hard for me and now its getting harder

Has Wale entered he first gave me a hug a tight one I must say  and immediately kissed me in the forehead making  tears to roll from my eye for that moment I felt relaxed I felt comfortable I almost forgot the pressure on me he hug me for like seven minutes without saying a word
The next things he said was
"I trust you  if no body does I know you are right about that man"
Then I feel more relieved at least someone trust me he was about to seat down before his phone rang ,grin grin grin, he looked into my eye before picking his call he do that often when is boss call him wale is a police official also but in the department of the SARS( special anti robbery squad) yes and as usual he had to leave for an assignment  before he Leave he said
"iyabo mi,iyawo mi mi o ni pede maronuma" which means my wife I won't be long think no more

Wale left for his duty now am alone with my depressed taught am an iron lady but this days am soft so soft if I did not produced the proof I would be charge with many misconduct which could lead me to almost 29 years imprisonment that his not even the issue okon is now contesting for the presidential election he is the top candidate to win I can let that happen while I was thinking a heavy thunderstorms strike the lighting affected my TV which caused it to power down for like 43second I taught it was just a thunder until I heard a knock on my door
"ko ko ko ko ko GAM GAM "
The knock was unusual I walk to the door opened it! I was expecting to see the guard what I saw was a short man not that short tho! Who are you and how did you get here without informing the guards,
"would you let me in first?"
He asked
" hell no " until you tell me your name where you are coming from what you want here

( in my mind I was thinking he is an assassin or suicide bomber sent by senator okon)

episode 2 coming soon

Romance / The Romance With Olabode The Akudaaya by Captainope(m): 11:50pm On Jan 08, 2019
“Hi, my name is olabode.
A few years ago, I watched as my family attended my funeral.
I feel like I was in a coma , I feel like am a spirit, I could not find my body I had no strength, my dad has just become the senate president of the federal republic of nigeria , i lost my mum last month due to some unknown illness, my only brother died last week due to some unknown illness We had just moved to the abuja sixteen months earlier and I had been involved in a fatal accident in which my body was burned beyond recognition that how I died.
I had heard stories in my culture about dead people whose spirits went to another part of the world to live as if they were
alive. They are called “Akudaaya” in my native language. I never
knew what to make of those stories until that incident. I had
become like them, an Akudaaya I now woke in mubi yola there my akudaya life started and its time time to save my sister because My dad has been the mastermind of all our problems he used us all for rituals now my only sister eniola is now on the line to join us I have to protect her
More to come
I woke up in an unusual bed it was almost made of stick so hard I had to move outside then I noticed I was in a hut in a village then my memory began to work and then I noticed I was dead many years ago it all like a dream , the house was so empty until I saw cows approaching it unusual I was once a senator son before I died I don’t often see cow . what for ? Then I saw a young boy at the end of the cows with a long strong stick he is an herd man he then come close to me and and say” how are you now”
I don’t understand am I in heaven or what? I asked him
“You are in yola Adamawa we saw you at one of the rivers around our village unconscious we had to bring you home so you can gain back your consciousness thank god now you are back on your feet ,now tell me where are you from and what make you drown your self in the river” he asked me
I was speechless , its was so cold I can’t believe am back to this world I know have been dead but why am I back I can’t say maybe its good or bad to be back but surely am not comfortable. When I did not reply him he told me to rest so as to gain memory, for me telling him I was once dead is unreal it does not make sense at all immediately I went back into he dark hut lie on the hard bed humbly then I start to think I remembered I had a mother that died of a supposed ulcer, I had a brother that died of a supposed heart attack but I also have a sister she is doing fine I taught, I had many taught going through y mind until the guy came in I pretend to be asleep but he woke me up and tell me dinner was ready I almost said am hungry before he said you need energy come outside and eat , I taught he was the only one living in the village because for once I taught we are both spirit until I moved out of the hut and saw many of them then I was happy at least for now am not in the mist of spirit I sat down on a stone they all seem to like me all of a sudden a beautiful young Fulani brought me a bowl to watch my hand she was looking as if she has some crush on me and that moment I was thinking maybe she or all of them knows my dad was the Senate president but no the Fulani are just nice to me , I ate but I feel no taste its like am eating air then I know am a spirit I had to continue eating because I notice the more I eat the more happy they become and the other thing his that my ability to master there language I hear every bit of the Fulani language something i never know before it was not normal, isa the elderly man ask me if I can join them in cattle work , I had to say yes then because am not the normal person I know before,
I have been working as an herdsman now for months they Fulani already like me I have been i n a relationship with Fatima the young Fulani girl I told you about , so far i don’t still taste, I always feel cold, I hear almost every language hear am still an akudaya , i got married to her she is now pregnant for me due to my formal life status which include a bsc in business admin, I had the ability to develop my ranch now I have about 30 big cows I now love the life am living .
Everting change one mid night I was hearing my name I stood up from my newly built hut beside my Fulani wife , she was still asleep I walk slowly for he first time since I became an akudaya I was feeling scared , but I traced the sound the feeling that am a dead man already I keep me going I got to place where I saw light I looked back guess who I saw?
I saw my mum that died many years ago and also I saw my brother both in white garment that suddenly turned into red not actually red but it look like it was soked in blood , yes I know they are both dead I wanted to cry but tears never come because I was an akudaaya since the day I came back to life I never cried even if I wanted to. My mum said with a weak voice olabode omo mi which means olabode my son she continued by saying asikomi oti tooo baba re ni ofi emi ati egbon re gbadebo tafala tori IPO ati oruko, baba re ti ni owo baba re ti yo sugbon owa n wa bekun bekun which means is not her time to die also not my brother time but my father use us all as ritual because he wanted fame and power in the government he has enough already but he is not satisfied yet he now want my sister simisoluwa , my mum said she once use her womb as a ritual purposely so my dad could become the governor of his state which he succeeded at but now his aiming to be the president of this nation
my brother gbadebo start by saying they have both been here for years sitting down and waiting for me that the god of the underworld ALAPADI never granted them the cloth of akudaya that they have been a wandering spirit moving unconsciously “you have been here all this while?” I asked “then why didn’t you call me?” Why did you leave me alone letting me think about many impossible things?
“In the spirit realm there are rules and regulations we all die untimely but ALAPADI gave you have a chance back for a second life , we did not come earlier because we wanted you to settle down have a family and a child before you complete your task”
“Task which task am I completing” I asked
” your sister simisoluwa would be used very soon as your dad is contesting for a presidential post and also he do use many life apart from his family, he has a house in ire ekiti well fully secured many life’s are there he use’s 7 virgin girls, 7 new born baby,7 virgin boys and also 7 old men and women for rituals very 21 days the house is full of innocent life’s that has been kidnapped by your fathers kidnappers you need to go and safe them all ”
“I was highy surprise hearing this despite my dad huge donations to church and mosque’s his scholarship scheme, free food free schools so there is huge prize to pay for all this , used me my mum and my brother now he want my sister I have to stop him he his a killing monster I have to unveil is secret the nation needs to know who my father his”
I looked back to talk more to my mum and brother but they are gone I wish I can talk with them to days I had to go back home to my hut and my wife fatimah , when I got home I saw my self on the bed with my wife then I know it was my spirit that leave my akudaaya body I went back into the body I started to think about the plans on how to get those Innocent people out of the where my dad kept them all and how to safe my sister from untimely death I taught of visiting my sister but due to my research on akudaya’s once i see the people that recognized me I might vanish back into the spiritual realms so instead of that I try and got a new phone and log into my previous Facebook account so as to chat with my sister at least we won’t be seeing face to face, I saw her online then I typed ” HELLO SISTER”
She replied me
Simi: ” how did you get into my brother account you scammer ”
Me: ” see its your brother olabode I could have come to see you but this is the best I can come close too, you are in great danger now”

Me: no you can’t aburo mi .. You need to save more life
Simi: more life
Me: yes , dad as a ritual den in the village that comprises of innocent life’s , he do some strong rituals every time
Simi: I can’t still believe this, I just have to trust you am not totally convinced. How can dad be so cruel its absorb
Me: dad is into politic he play the dirty game with anything to get what he want
Similar:: OK I trust you , you are my bro, how have you been living
Me: fine sister, I already have a wife
Simi: you have been there for that long?
Me: yes
Simi: if I can’t meet you can I meet your wife please?
Me: may be we would need to plan that later but for now we need a plan to expose dad and rescue the Innocent

Simi: I need to meet your wife before doing anything

Me : simi for now you can’t, she is pregnant

Simi: pregnant!! How come

Me: well those are the characteristics of an akudaya

(Similar heard a voice at the living room)

Simi: who is there?, egbon I would call you back I think dad is around

Me: try to be mature with at I told you.. I a sure the sun would shine on us again

Simi: OK I would call you when am done with him

Me: don’t let him know, anything about me or our plan

Simi: sure he won’t..

(I hang the phone, thinking of our next plan to free he captive from my fathers den, my father always blame is misery on political opponet when in public and blame is misery on my mother’s family in private is a type of man that does not want to accept a single blame he use to talk As if he his very plain. )

Simi called me later in the day telling me she has organized some intelligence agency to fish out those in my father kidnap zone, I was very pleased with it. Days later the controversial news circulated that the senate President building in is home town has hundreds of innocent souls kill, captured, for rituals , that brought down my father Chance’s, some corrupt top people hat use that same place are trying to cover is secret while the other opponent are using it has a Strong key in brining him down. Weeks went simi demands to meet my wife , but I promise her that would only happen if dad is being convicted of his atrocities, soon the time to use simi as rituals is coming nearer has am feeling it, but still the corrupt judges free my dad and accuse the opposition of setting that place up to destroy my dad political ambition, it was sad news for me as I think similar is not doing enough, I called her she told me dad is not easy to bring down that he his very powerful both political, and spiritual wise that she can’t do it alone. The next night I saw mum at the usual dark place she told me am trying to Dodge my destiny by not taking the matters into my own hand , I was amazed because if I dear see anybody that knows me would die again within 7days which I don’t want go again,

then my mum told me

” if you want to stay fine you can but remember the more you stay the more we surfer for your dads crime in the spirit realms because we are his family, the only way to stop this is if a family member stop is dark reign and that is why we choose you to come back , see your sister is weak she did not have the nerves only you can stop him , your wife is pregnant already that enough gain we now have an offspring, your sister eventually dies fighting this alone I won’t forgive you”

I went back home trying to cry , I taught I was lucky to come back to life again but I never knew I was on a serious mission, I don’t want to is again but if I did not try to stop him , he would do the undone and my mum soul would be tormented forever I am the solution for my mum and brother suffering I am in the end game now

I went ahead and tell my wife everything she was shocked!!! And pleaded with me not die again she told me ” please my husband stay with me , don’t leave me we are progressing already don’t let your fathers wickedness get you sacrifice for the second time ,we are expecting a baby please don’t go”

At that moment I was in between so I called my sister to here her option but her number was not going through for like 7days I was worried until one night mum told me that similar would be joining her soon. I asked why , she replied by saying you fail to make the big sacrifice , she continue by saying my father would know about me and he would come for my child too if requested .

I had to call my lawyer and will 85% percent of my properties to my wife and remaining 15% to those who saved me when I was reborn as an akudaya ,I went straight to abuja wanting to meet my dad knowing I could die 7 days later ,getting to his office I waited a lot recognize me they where all shocked , they already called him but he was in the Senate Chambers as the president present his budget, immediately something told me my sister could have been hidden in one of is small house in abuja, I have spirit instint that gives me the right prediction the right time , so I left is office and went to the nearest police station and make a kidnapping reporte accusing my dad of kidnapping my sister , they all followed me to the house and we saw some bandit with guns , the police open fire as they recuse my sister see saw me and give me the tightest hug ever crying” egbon mi egbon mi” you know I can’t cry back , immediately the I.G.P gave the police to arrest my father at the ongoing budget presentation, as me and my sister have talked about his bad deed on national TV, he was arrested and this time he saw me and told me “you are dead what is your gain doing this to your own father!” Then I replied to satisfies my own mother, he wept and promise me he would not be jailed that he would come back strong 7 day later the fedral high Court sent my Father the Senate president to death by hanging the third day he was executed.. Then I feel a sign of relief, my wife finally get to meet my sister we all know am going to die tomorrow today is the sixths day , it was sad moment for us all my wife now move to abuja all my Fathers property now belong to my sister

This is my last words, i am writing this to you all that is reading this that there is noting carry come noting we go carry go. We are all dust in disguise… I hope they remember me

Yours faithfully

Who knew that this one Holiday would change everything?

Ifeoma has been waiting for the boy she fell in love with when she was 15. The last time she saw him, he was in a moving bus waving goodbye.

Now she’s 20 and graduating from high school.

When holiday comes by, she spends her vacation with her mother in Abuja.

Though she never expected to see…

Taye.

The boy she fell in love with 5 years ago.

***********************************************************
Ifeoma come here Taye called me from far, He waved and motioned me to come to our secret place,My heart fluttered with joy every time he said my name.
This was the boy I loved.

“I’m coming!” I shouted back. I ran to him and panted when i arrived.

“What is it?” I asked breathlessly.

“I want to give you this.” He said, his warm brown eyes shined with excitement as he took out a tiny red velvet box.
Automatically i reached for it but he quickly held it above his head. I pouted.

“Ask nicely.” He said. I rolled my eyes and said, “Taye may I please have the box?” He laughed when i batted my eyelashes at him.

“Of course.” He handed me the small box. I opened it and saw a delicate silver chain with the words, ifeoma, written on it. My eyes lit up as I took it out of the box.

“This is for me?” I asked and looked at Taye. He smiled. “Yeah. Want me to put it on for you?” I nodded my head and let him put the necklace on me.

“There.” He said and stood back.

“How does it look?” I said and twirled around.

“Beautiful.” He whispers. I stop twirling and face him. That was the first time he called me beautiful. Before i could say anything, Mrs. Adewale yelled for Taye.

“I guess I have to go.” He said and ran to his house. I followed after him and saw a moving truck beside his lawn.

“Wait! Where are you going?” I called. He turned around with a sad look on his face.

“I’m moving.” He said and looked at the ground.

“Moving where?” I asked. He didn’t tell me he was moving.

“I don’t know.” He replied still looking down.

“Taye, let’s go!” Mrs. adewale yelled. Taye looked at me one last time and went to his mom. He got into the moving van. I didn’t move from my spot.

I watched the moving bus leave from the house.
I see Taye waving at me and mouthing, goodbye.
I watched until the moving van was out of sight.

That was the day when my heart died a little.

Years passes ,its time for graduation from high school

Cheers burst through the crowd as students are jumping up and down.
“We’re finally finished!” Daniel said and gave his friends high fives.

I see my best friend, aminat, come this way.
Her orange hair shines in the sunlight as she smiles at me.
She gives a little squeak and hops like a bunny.

“Can you believe it? We’re finished high school!” She yells as she takes both of my hands and we hop together.

“I know isn’t it great?” I say as I see my father video recording every single moment. I walk up to him and give him a hug.

“My ifeoma is all grown up.” He whispers into my ears. I close my eyes, afraid that tears will spill and give him a quick peck on the cheek.

“I’ll always be your little girl.” I whisper back and give him my best smile. I’ll be away from him and live with my mother in Abuja for the summer. I haven’t seen her within 2 years after the divorce.

“Ifeoma, Congrats!” My dads girlfriend, Maria shouts and embraces me.

I think of Maria as my mother when my own mom wasn’t there. People even said we look alike; The same black curly hair up to our waist, light brown eyes that are the color of the sky. The difference is that she’s a lot more taller than me and looks more like a supermodel.

My father told me that he was going to propose to her tonight at dinner. Hopefully she will say yes, or I’ll never forgive her.

“Thanks!” I reply. Aminat suddenly grabs my wrist and pulls me towards our group of friends. I mouth a sorry towards maria and dad and the nod back with a thumbs up.

“I c-can’t believe it. T-this is a d-dream come t-true!” Rita my friend, bawls on aminat shoulders. Aminat gives me the ‘she is crazy’ look. I stifle a giggle as arms encircle and suffocate me.

“Congrats, ifeoma!” Sara says and picks me up from the ground.

“Whoa, don’t kill me.” I mutter as she releases me.

“What are you doing for the summer? We should totally hang out!” She says, her eyes are full of excitement.

“Sorry, but I’ll be visiting my mother in Abuja.” I say and her jaw drops.

“ifeoma? I so want to go there!” She rambles on about abuja and how she’s been there before.
Aminat pulls me back.

“I’m going to need to borrow her for a sec.” aminat says and grins.

“Thank you! I was dying.” I sigh as I catch Richards’ eye. He waves at me and gives a friendly smile.

“Congrats!” He mouths. I nod my head and mouth, “Thanks.”

“Ooh, someone likes Richard.” Aminat says.
I blush furiously and she laughs.

“I do not like him, we’re only friends.” I said. It’s the truth. Richard is cute but not my type.

“Mhm. Girl, you need to go out on a date!” She says and pats my shoulder sympathetically.

“Who are you waiting for? Your knight and shining armor?”

I touch the silver chain necklace he once gave me.
It sparkles in the sunlight.

That’s exactly who I was going to wait for.

(AT HOME FOR MY DAD PROPOSAL)

“Are you sure you don’t want to go to that school send off party?” Maria asked as she cooked spaghetti.

“For the millionth time, yes! I already discussed this with dad.” I said.

“You know, I can sneak you out.” Maria said and turned around.
I sighed.

“No. I want to stay here and eat with my family. Besides tonight is… Special.” I said and smiled. I noticed while Maria faced me, the pan suddenly burst into flames.

“Mar-“

“It is a special night. That’s why you should go to that party!”

“Yes, but-“

“You probably won’t even see your friends anymore.”

“I know that-“

“This is the last night you have with them, then your going to abuja.”

“But, Mar-“

“You-“

“MariA THE STOVE IS ON FIRE!” I yelled.

Her eyes widened then she turned around. She screeched and ran to get the fire distinguisher. She sprayed it all over until all i could see is smoke.

“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?!” She said.
“I was trying, but you kept interrupting me!” I replied and went to the stove. All i could see that was on the pan were brown crusty noodles.

“There goes dinner!” She sank to the floor and covered her face with her hands.

“Hey, it’s okay. We’ll just order some pop corn and drink.” I said softly and sat next to her.

“It’s not okay! I wanted to make this night special for you.” Maria snapped. Her eyes filled with tears.

“Now all we have is that.” She pointed at the pan.

“It’s alright-“

“Why do you keep saying that? You’re going to abuja for the whole summer. I won’t even see you after that because you’ll be at… College.” She cried, her voice cracked at the word.

“Listen to me.” I snapped. I grabbed both of her wrists and forced her to look at me.

“I know I’ll be going to ABUJA, then straight to college. And I’ll miss you guys like crazy. It’s not going to be easy for me too.” I said as she wiped her tears.

“You didn’t spoil my night. You didn’t do anything wrong. I’m happy. Now there’s just one thing you have to do.” I give her a small smile.

“What is it?” She asked.

“You’ll see soon.” I get up and offer her my hand. She takes it and I lead her into the living room. In front of us stands my father wearing a tux.

MARIA stares at me confused.
“What’s going-” I push her towards my father and he grins.

“MARIA, I have known you for a year. And i fell in love with you from the moment I laid eyes on you. When you agreed to live with me, you don’t know happy I was.” He kneels on one leg. I watch as MARIA covers her mouth.

“You brought our family back together. I’m ready for the next step. Are you?” He asks as he takes out a white box. He opens it and inside is the most gorgeous diamond ring I have ever seen. She gasps and cries silently.

“MARIA . Will you marry me?” He whispers and looks into her eyes. I cross my fingers behind my back.

“Yes. I will marry you.” She whispers back and flings herself to him. He kisses her with passion and desire.

THE NEXT DAY….

I’ve been waiting for this day since my parents divorce.
I guess it’s because I haven’t seen my mothers face within 2 years.
Or was it because I always wanted to go to ABJ for the summer?

I give a small sigh and turn to dad, MARIA, and AMINAT.

“You got everything IFEOMA?” Dad asked. Maria snuggled to his chest with a happy smile. Her engagement ring glittered beneath the light.

“Yup. I guess this is it.” I said. Aminat stares at me with sad eyes.

“Your going to call me everyday and tell me whats happening, whether your eating a sandwich or brushing your hair. I don’t want to miss a single thing. Got it?” She says. She holds me in a tight embrace.

“Got it.”

“Tell me if the guys there are hot.” I laugh. I was really going to miss Aminat.

“Of course. I wouldn’t dream of leaving that detail out.” I roll my eyes and hug my dad.

“Stay safe, ifeoma. I’ll be hearing from your mother.” Dad says and kisses on top of my head.

“Have fun, Don’t waste a single minute.” Maria says and holds me into one of her suffocating bear hugs.

“Let-go-can’t-breathe-” She lets go and ruffles my dark hair like I’m a little kid.

“I’m going to miss you!” She yelled while I walked to my flight.
I waved at them one last time and went on board.

*********************************************************

Did you ever have the feeling that your own mother forgot to pick you up from the airport?

Let me tell you, it’s not fun at all sitting on a hard plastic chair for 2 hours now. 2 hours!

I already knew that my mother forgot that her own daughter was coming to visit her. I’ve called the woman more than 40 times and she still doesn’t pick up.

I gave a nervous sigh. Luckily I brought a book with me.at least I had something to read.
Actually I’ve read this damn magazine, about 10 times, cover to back.

I tap my foot in irritation, still believing that she was still coming for me.
This a mistake. No, a huge mistake coming to visit for the summer.

“Uh, excuse me miss…” A guy probably my age with sandy dark hair and light freckles on his nose, came towards me with a small smile upon his lips.

“Yeah?” I asked. I didn’t mean to be rude or anything but he caught me in a bad time.

“I’ve seen you waiting here for 30 minutes…” The guy scratched his head nervously.

“Did you-“

“I’ve been waiting for about 2 hours now. Not 30 minutes, not an hour. Instead I’ve been waiting in the goddamn airport for 2 hours, waiting for my beloved mother to come pick me up but of course she doesn’t.
No, she’s probably somewhere enjoying the beach, relaxing in the sun, giving a crap about her daughter who she was supposed to pick up.”

I let all my anger out on this poor boy. I breathed in and out. Calm down. Your yelling in an airport! The boy stared at me in astonishment.

“Sorry about that. I’m Ifeoma.” I said nicely as possible and extended my hand to his.

He stared at it then at me.
“Sam. Nice to… Meet you.”

Great. The first person I meet and he thinks I’m a nut case. Way to go ifeoma! I tried so hard not to kick myself and shook hands with him.

“Your first time here at ifeoma?” Sam asked. His cute eyes stared at me, giving me the once over.

“Yes. And it’s not going to a good start.” I replied and sighed.

“I can see that. Who’re you wait-” He stops in mid sentence probably noticing that he was going to ask a stupid question.

addtext_com_MDgxMTM1ODkyMjE

“Sorry.” He muttered.

“That’s okay. I didn’t mean to rant on you by the way. It sort of slipped out.” I gave him a reassuring smile.

“Anyways, I’m waiting for my mother grace uche.”

I slouched on my chair. It’s pointless of waiting. She wasn’t going to come. But where would I go? Oh God, I was going to become homeless!

“Uche grace?” He repeated.
“Yeah. You know her?” I asked.
I could care-

“She lives down the street, I can take you there if you want.”

Literature / It Been A Long Time Without You ..a Love Story That Make You Cry by Captainope(m): 5:38pm On Jul 11, 2017

She gasps and cries silently.

by alabi opeyemi gagi

On getting home i bring out all my books suddenly i saw 7000 note fall out of the book aminat gave me to keep for her, checking inside the main note i saw 3000 more i was surprised instantly i called her to inform ,”hello aminat i saw 10k now for the book you gave me hope you are not finding it i would bring it with me tommorow “she said oh that was for you i don’t want you to ignore the money that why i did it that way” i don’t know what to say than thank you at the moment (me wey i no get food stuff again) i had to call my mama not to send the 3000 she was abut to send to me

aminat-2The second day she called me for the lesson (for my mind i be like ha which face i go use look this girl now), as in a girl that has done much within the short time we meet,i had to tell her am a little bit sick so i can not make it,she said oh sorry dear (my head first turn as i hear dear) she ask me to send my hostel address may be she can come by, i sent it(thinking noting would happen)

1 hour 23 min later i heard that knock on my door, when i opened it i saw aminat i was speechless , i was like what are you doing here the sickness is not that strong, she first greeted the 7 guys in the room she hi guys with a soft voice and isa said welcome to our mansion our new wife ,instantly,i said no we are just friends, so that she wont think i have been talking about her to those rude boy,and somehow wale says akin na your turn to cook go answer your wife and come and cook for us,she was just smiling as if na something good dem dey talk, somehow i manage to take her out of the room before another guy say rubbish again,When we went out she said how many of you are in that room ? i said 8.. she said whattttt?how are you guys able to cope with each other, i smiled and tell her we are not much due to the room is small that some room contain 16 student , she was suprise,as if she never hear that for her life, after some little talk she asked me about my health i said i was getting better she almost forced me to go to the hospital,She even told me she could help with the cooking since am little bit sick then i ask her can you cook? she then said you want to try me? i said nooo with a serious face suddenly ade came out and said ‘guy come cook now hunger dey wire me like die” i told him na hunger go kill your papa you know see say i get vistor he replied your wife na your visitor? aminat was just laughing enjoying the way me and ade are talking to each other, she told ade that she wanted to help in the cooking but i said no with an exited face ade brought out the kerosine stove and the pot with some ingredients and told aminat please cook the other guys where happy as well they all say yes, i was the only one with a no , but my no was not enough… aminat was not impress by the ingredients on ground so had to go and buy some she prepare for us rice with stew which include egg, fish, meat, and again cooked us egusi stew and prepare for us semo for dinner , the guys where calling her our wife all through it as been a long time i have taking such food but i was still uncomfortable because i don’t know what she is thinking about me..while i was seeing her off i thanked her for what she did , and told her the truth about the reason why i did not came to class to teach her , she really was a little bit upset and told me we have to get along if we want to gain from our self it is not a big deal at all. The second day while i was not around aminat bought us food stuff worth more than 50k… (i was getting more scared)

by alabi opeyemi gagi

After all that aminat did , I just think the next thing is for me to give a little gap with her , she is just been too exceptional for my likeness we are not in any relationship and she doing more than what any even in a relationship can never do. Am a confused guy I don’t know how to tell her we can not be seeing again because she did noting wrong all she did was that she been too good for me ,Wale called me that night and tell me that I should grab my opportunity that aminat is madly in love with me not only that, she is also rich at this time I become, So confused I don’t know what to do should I walk up to her and end my thought about breaking up with her despite not being in a relationship with her or should I just pretend all is well when in my hearts am feeling guilty?

Aminat called me the other day to the usual lecture. I don’t know may be I should go or just stay because I know if I contruct another lie she would surely find me out so I move on to see her at usual place.

She was beautiful as usual her lips where in the red paint her eye where just like that of an angel and her smile sum it up,first I thanked her for what she did yesterday I told her I am great full for what she did and she said what are friends for that at least out of my busy schedule I provided time to teach her too that she is more greatfull, I was not still comfortable with her and she noticed instantly she said akin is everything alright i said sure am fine, she said no you are not telling me what your problem is ,in my mind first I wanted to tell her I want to date you but I don’t really love her that much I just appreciate her and that all .somehow i just tell her i want us to give our self a little gap,She said why me ,have I done anything wrong ? Reluctantly I said aminat see am scared you have been too nice to me and that is given problem you have done almost everything for me first it was the 10 thousand naira and now food stuff worth more than 40thousand naira am scared seriously your been too nice is just not ordinary,She smiled and softly said akin as far as am consigned I have done noting to you we are friends and I think your welfare is the best I have to look after if I want to gain from you with due repect sorry for saying this but I think all hands are not equal yes just like you knowing mathematics and me not good in mathematics is just like me been rich,my allowance per week is more than $2000 so akin me spending just 40k for you is nothing what if I take you out to buy cloth or maybe go to a recreational center to have fun what would you call that? I said hmmmmm she continued and you are the only one I do that for on campus (I was happy when I heard that) so don’t be scared all I just need is for you to be a good friend to me that all, we are gaining from each other remember

by alabi opeyemi gagi

Politics / Is This Politics>most Popular African Tribes No 1 Is Normal In Pics by Captainope(m): 4:55pm On Mar 15, 2017
The fact is that tribes emerged on our planet long before any states or governments. A tribe is a group of people with similar ethnicity. They share the same culture and the same language. A tribe is rather similar to a larger size family.

A larger tribe may consist of many families and clans. A smaller one would include tightly related people. They also share same political formation and have their own tribal rulers or kings. Formerly people from one tribe used to share the same land and live in the same villages or cities they have founded.

Presently, tribal people have scattered around the land and even around the globe. For instance, you can find large African Nigerian tribal diaspora in USA, UK, etc. Tribal languages are many. Presently scientists surely know of 1000 of them, but some suggest there are over 2000 of such languages in Africa.

Yoruba was one of the tribes to greatly contribute to the slave trade. Many Yoruba were sold and brought over to America, Cuba, Brazil and Caribbean region. Interesting enough that many “American” Yoruba preserved the traditions of their motherland.
In the past Yoruba tribe was a part of Oyo Empire. This tribe also stands out of the crowd as being one with the most population in the cities. Lots of Yoruba are highly educated people, tech savvy and industrious. The only Nigeria Nobel prize winner Wole Soyinka (poet and play writer) comes from Yoruba tribe.

Romance / Top 6 Organization That Are Romancing And Killing Nigeria Slowly by Captainope(m): 2:53pm On Feb 18, 2017
6) CHURCH AND MOSQUE : its no news again that church is a big time business in nigeria, at least a poor church would earn 20000 naria per service and that is not news again….The news how are they killing nigeria as a whole,

1) They earn much and give less out (2) They do not pay tax (3) they do not have huge impact on country (4) they can lie for africa (5) they need poor people to uplift the business

5) EDUCATION: Education is the soul of a nation, the key to its secured future but it is a well-known fact that Nigeria’s is deteriorating. This ugly state of the country’s education has been attributed over time to a number of factors including underfunding, low-quality teaching personnel, poor infrastructure, poverty of curriculum and absence of dedicated practitioners.

From primary through secondary to the tertiary level, the rot is mind-boggling. It is a decline, which must be arrested if Nigeria’s future would not be jeopardised.
4) security & DEFENCE: In the last five years, the federal government earmarked not less that N5 trillion for the defence of the territorial integrity and internal security of the nation. The various state governments equally allocated hundreds of billions of Naira on law and order. In fact, individual citizens and communities paid levies and salaries to young men and women engaged to secure them and their properties. In spite of the huge funds spent on security, it is common knowledge that the country is currently grappling with the menace of kidnapping, hostage taking, terrorism and armed robbery being carried out by disenchanted youths.

It is our contention that life and property cannot be secured in any country without the provision of adequate welfare for the generality of the people. I will conclude this piece by calling on Nigerians to demand for full compliance with all welfare legislations including the appropriation laws of the Federal, State and Local Governments to ensure that the national economy is managed in such manner as to secure the maximum welfare of the people of Nigeria…

Politics / Re: Buhari Being Decorated With The Rank Of Major-General, 1983 (Throwback Photo) by Captainope(m): 10:23pm On Feb 16, 2017
zendy:
Buhari was roughly about 40 years old here. These days, the average major general is above 50 years old. His quick rise in the Army was because he was an accomplished coup plotter from the North. Murtala Mohammed trained him well in the art of coup plotting and he ran with it in 3 highly successful coups.

Unfortunately, the man, Buhari, never managed to achieve anything in his life praiseworthy and is about to go down in history as the man who ran the worst Military and Civilian Governments in the history of Nigeria.

He couldnt even boast of a WAEC certificate in this picture.
so you mean in this whole world there is no body close enough to you that can tell you that you are mad? see if you get 100 bsc certificate you cannot become common councilor... and please what is the definition of EDUCATION? ohhh waec!!!!
