And is this the kind of students coming out of Nigeria now? undecided You continue to show how rude you're in your comments. Probably you forgot that you rudely asked for my achievements. If you're a serious student and wanted to be taken seriously you will answer my questions and tell us the credential you're starting with. You don't need to do your undergrad in Nigeria, for someone smart like you, obtaining the admission and the visa would be as easy as A, B, C. Lastly, since you claim to be intelligent like no one has seen before, you should be able to comprehend where I said:

Ignored

I think that you should always try to get the best in everything, including undergrad education.

That said, a US undergrad program is very expensive and scholarships are very rare at that level.
If you can't fund it, or don't have a scholarship award then you probably shouldn't be sounding so entitled.

If you're really interested in undergrad studies, you'll have more luck at EducationUSA in the US embassy.
Tell me more about EducationUSA please

@Imperiouxx, sometimes I feel like throwing up whenever I'm going through posts of ignorant prospective students here...

Just because you are trying to put him through, he already started responding in a rude way...

Sometimes, Nigerians feel like your are their enemy of progress when correcting them or explaining what they don't know to them..

Thanks
Can you tell me what exactly he was 'explaining' to me?
About me paying my dues?
Is there any rule/law/system that encourages one to have his first degree in Nigeria undecided

Please don't dabble into matters without first scrutinizing the root cause of the altercation.

Anybody can mouth this way too and has nothing to show for it. My question is what can you show to say you're or would be an intelligent undergrad?

In a simple word..... your credential?

To answer your question as short as possible, As a young graduate in Nigeria I participated in community outreach program for the prevention of HIV/AIDS during my service year, spending my own money. I involved in many other community development projects as well. In U.S, I involved in biomedical research sponsored by NHIS and I'm currently working with the underserved population e.g working with people with development disability and volunteering to feed the old people.

So back to my question, as for you, what worth transferring from the "useless education system" to the U.S system?

Don't forget you're in the PostGrad level while I'm an undergrad... so it will (in my opinion) be rather unfair if we begin to make comparisons about both our achievements.

I bet when you were an undergrad you had nothing to contribute.. so refer to my earlier post

Even a kind of saucy undergrad undecided

As an undergrad student, what have you made out of the "useless education system" that worth transferring to U.S system?
Interesting..
It's funny to realise that you keep contradicting yourself.. A country like the United States will be happy to retain a very intelligent undergraduate-cum graduate student who performed excellently in his 4-year program.

What I mean in summary is that I'm still a raw meat in process.. when I graduate, then I can contribute immensely.
So Mr PostGrad, what have you contributed to your country let alone the United States?
Internet trolling? Cyber bullying? undecided

Family based F1? or you meant F2?
There is nothing like this. Moreover F1 visa is a study based visa not meant for "permanent" relocation.
my thoughts exactly

And this is why your question remains unanswered because most here paid the dues to Nigeria first....... eg long ASUU strikes, poor grading system, studying with no electricity, falling sick while writing exams, going to school during fuel scarcity, paying for project from your pocket while credit goes to the professor etc.
And you type all those as if it is how its supposed to be undecided
The problem with you Nigerians is that you have taken the artificially-inflicted hardships in this country to be normal and even give yourselves praises for 'overcoming' it.

Pathetic. I refuse to be part of this useless education system

Yes it's possible but my own advice is follow the lay down rules and if you don't violate it then you are good to go.
OK thanks

Don't do this because it will be out of status and that makes you illegal in US soil..

The best way is to obey the rules and the student visa and attend school..
What about if one remains in the US after completing his school program and decides to get a job and gets married??

Grade 9 is about 14 years old ..... except if his sponsor is his parent and can show his parent's can afford to cater for him even without scholarship then his chances might be higher . mind if i ask . who did he go with and who is his sponsor and staying with ?

if i am a Vo i will not give someone that young to go to high school in the USA except if a parent is based in the USA..... There are loads of great secondary schools in the Nigeria so really why does he want to do high school in the USA. At that age he has to be properly supervised and guided so he doesnt go the wrong way

Might be best to wait until he is older, more mature and apply to go for undergraduate degree .
that's their choice.. their decision shouldn't be the issue but how they can get him a visa
