That's really cool. You are beautiful. Congratulations! I wish you a fruitful marriage.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Is It That Yoruba Songs Are Sang More Often In Churches? by Caracta(f): 2:31pm On Jan 05, 2014
It depends on the location. I don't hear Yoruba songs frequently in the North. But South West? Yes.

dBard: U seem t be d only one on dis thread worth an ans,
Tho I tend t agree wit d o.p (personal opinion)..I don'treally agree wit ur assertion that Iintelligence is relative..it isn't, neither is it specific.
Intelligence basically has t do wit how flexible n nimble a persons mind/thot processes is. It has to do wit a persons grasp of concepts n Broad understanding of his/her surroundings.
Knowing d function of NAFDAC but not knowing d head doesn't imply lack of intelligence cos dre is grasp but no specificity..
For e.g @Tinubu dat can read a definition but not grasp it can be said to b unintelligent and boring if I may add.

To cut a long story short..Any individual that , in a room full of people of different disciplines, cannot hold his/her own in discussions wit dem, that individual is lacking in intelligence..I.m.o
God bless you. I particularly love your conclusion and your explanation of 'grasp and specificity'. Makes sense. I agree with you. Beats down the arguments here that once you can't answer a question, you are automatically dumb or boring. Thanks a lot.

San Miguel: Interesting.
My darling kiss kiss Happy sunday.

stinggy: I lik wat u concluded wit & that's exactly my point too. U wldn't av known Octane no if dint study somtin close to a Pet/Xcal course or av interest in it. But let's face it knowing David Mark falls under 'General Knowledge', u dnt av 2 b a politician to knw him
I like knowledge. I love to learn. I'm very curious and inquisitive. I love adventure. I love science, arts and poetry. That i couldn't answer a question on 'General Knowledge' doesn't mean i'm not intelligent. I do not accept that as a criteria. If you notice that i'm deficient in anything you feel i should know, teach me, don't write me off. Don't place a "dumb" or "boring" tag on me. The last time i checked, nobody has all the answers to 'General Knowledge'.

I understand your point though and i agree with you to an extent too.

Its so funny..Lol
I tell you. Was it not yesterday my sister was telling me about Maheeda or is it Moheeda. I've been seeing her on mags, Nairaland, her pictures and all, but i didn't really know what she was doing. I had to ask yesterday. We can't really define basic things universally. What is basic to you may not be basic to me.

You are right. I can't. It would bore me to tears. Even your spellings and abbreviations are enough to make me swallow onions. I agree. I can feel the level of your intelligence. Honestly, i'm touched.

Oh no! I'm so sorry. I just checked your profile. Why am i explaining things to you? You are obviously too young to understand. We'll talk when you grow up. Till then, stay away from girls.

captcochrane: they're both borin madam
But that doesn't make them dumb or unintelligent. Both of them would probably win me hands-down in sports or any other field.

These days, people have different orientations about relationships. You expect your partner to be perfect in all ways. But i'm afraid, it doesn't work that way. If you love him/her enough, you would find a way to teach her the basic things you think he/she should know. Some women don't like football, but they tag along because their partners are crazy about football. So they sit, watch and sleep on the couch before the end of first-half grin Ask them about the match the next day and they would groan, simply because their interest is in something else. Does that make them boring? I think not.

Tinubu: No wonder you find women boring... with your level of reasoning, i see why any girl would make herself look imbecilic to you, so as to eradicate all possibilities of further contact with vermin like you... ..attack the point made... not the person who made the point.
I just tire. From time immemorial, people do not have like minds. Only the intelligent would know how to convince the opposing party. There are even options. You don't like a woman, meet another or turn gay, or better still, go to a seminary.

Reminds me of an episode of Who Wants to be a Millionaire in 2010, a young man was asked who sang "You are my African queen". This man looked up and down for few minutes, then opted to call a friend. I was furious because I felt it was a simple question. I was even shouting "Tuface" in front of my TV.

Funny enough, his friend told him the answer was Dbanj.

captcochrane: dts not popular jo
can u compare it wit d 4 girls in my group (bookworms) who didnt know d name of d senate president nd speaker house of rep
It is not popular to you but it is popular to me and the friends around me. That's because of our interest in it.

I agree that people are expected to know basic things but it has nothing to do with gender. A year ago, I was asked who the DG of NAFDAC was and I didn't know it. The person that asked was even surprised because I answered other questions brilliantly, even the ones of international standard. Just mention the country and watch my mouth flow. But I couldn't understand a simple question.

Ask my sister any question in sports and she would almost turn your head around. She is quite good. I give that to her. But ask my immediate brother who the coach of Arsenal is and he would stammer. But when it comes to politics, he is good.

I won't even bother with you. I've read comments on this thread and nobody sounds dumb like you. You don't know how to make healthy arguments. So I'll just ignore you and let you wallow in your unreasonable defence. You are not even qualified to judge the women folk.

stinggy: Ok babe, wat is Octane No?
Octane No is a standard
measure of the performance of a motor or
aviation fuel.

It's like you don't understand my point. My point is that we all have out differences. You can't tell me you know everything, neither do I. There are some things you can boast of that I've never even heard before. We are all very different and have different specialities.
