kellystech:You may have to confirm from your bank. There are different types of savings accounts with different thresholds. If you are a billionaire, you can spread your savings. |
Yes...if you have a current account. |
"E ni fe fi ejakika se bangles" Mehn! That's epic!!! I love Toyin no doubt but that's really low of both of them. Bring it on girls...entertain us with your sorry super stories. Isn't that what you do for a living? |
Absolute crap! |
Hmmmm. Another sad one. I'm sure you saw it coming. If his situation is beyond counselling, pls take a long walk from him before your dead body gets dragged out. Abusive man has every tendency to become violent. Also look at the situation critically. Is he going through difficult times? Has he always been that way? Were you forced or trapped into the marriage? Are you abusive yourself? Do you have children? Bla bla bla. If you can solve it; solve it. If you can't, take a break. Errrm...i noticed you called him a man. Is he a husband, boyfriend, bedmate or...? |
I'm interested in the photo on the wall. |
Happened to my brother. He woke up 9:30am for a 9am paper. He practically ran from the hostel to his faculty in pyjamas. As a law student, he was sent back to put on White and Black. He pleaded but they insisted. Before he came back, exam don finish. That alone gave him an extra semester. But today, he made it tops out of Law School. This life sha. |

^^^ You need to work on your sense of humor. Life is too simple to get worked up over nothing. I don't think anyone condemned the trip. And I disagree that the Nigerian mentality is shallow simply because we haven't made it out of planet Earth. |
How do we know they got there safely? Are they going to send e-mails or selfies? Please don't go Oh well...things we do for science. |
zick19:Does your life revolve around NL? Don't you have girls outside NL or are you too shy to approach them? |

Finally, we are here. I apologize for every minute we kept you waiting for updates. Beautiful stories in all. Every effort that was put in this deserves an applause. To those who didn't read the instructions, bravo! To those who read but didn't understand, wonderful! To those who read, understood but decided to shift base, congratulations. I want to believe that we have all learnt "something" from this, no matter how minute. If this competition doesn't make you better off in any way, then you would need to put on a garment of prayer. Straight to the point: THIRD POSITION: BLINDED BY CLARITY by Adjain! I must confess, I LOVE this story. I read it twice and I went "OMG" the first time. It felt real and i just hope it's not based on a true-life experience. Thumbs up Adjain for sharing this beautiful piece with us. SECOND POSITION: THE HOTTEST DAWN by Ruffhandu! Don't you just love our culture? Can be very annoying, funny, scary and weird...all woven into one piece. The strong feature of culture made an interesting read. Good plot and construction of tenses. Thumbs up Ruffhandu for the cultural "awareness". Beautiful story. FIRST POSITION: NEW YEAR GIFTS FOR THE POOR- Simonhabby! ![]() Simonhabby, how you were able to write this beautiful story in few words is beyond me. Words fail me to describe the expression on my face when i got to the end of the story. Serves them right...after all, the gifts were meant for the poor and the guy did just that. This story should be a National Anthem. These things happen everyday. The people that need the National Cake the most cannot even smell it. Politics, culture, love, compassion, understanding...all woven into this beautiful story. I just love every bit of it! Thumbs up Simonhabby. APC/PDP needs to pay for this storyline to campaign effectively. Good job. To everyone that participated, especially those that made it to the final round (TheOrbiters, Anakadrian and Eillo), thank you for participating. If not for some errors and non-adherence to the rules, you would have given us a good run for the prize. All in all, you have all done well. To all the judges, i know i'm not quite familiar with this section but i appreciate every one of you. Good job. Brilliant! I respect your judgment. Whitemosquito, thank you for this great honour. Nice one. May God reward you. Update: There is a prize for THIRD position (courtesy of our generous sponsors). So dear Adjain, we have a little "something" to wet your pen with ink. Keep writing. |

But you went all Kung-Fu on the Robber...nice one. Errrmmm...should we say Thank You for doing your job? ![]() You are brave. I love that. Respect! # MercyJohnforPresident ![]() |
