@MBJ lol@botay. maybe because I don't want a man who loves me for $y 'botay' buh a man who loves me for me. You are funny though.
RomanceRe: Insult Or Compliment? by caramel007(op): 8:46am On Aug 01, 2013
@MBJ I know I ve got a wondeful backside, and whether he compliments me or not doesn't change a thing. The funny thing was that I wasn't putting a 'tight sculpting/fitting' outfit except u place a jean+polo in that category.

@richfella, he won't be seeing a wonderful backside the next time he opens his lustful eyes.

@sexkillz well, maybe its just me but I find it a little awkward that a guy would choose to compliment me like that especially on a first date.

@dmcdad infact u took d words right outta my mouth. The reign that was yet to start.

@sniper tact= skill in handling delicate situation.
Silent admiration is definitely better but
@segzi certainly displayed some tact not just blurting it out outrightly like someone who s got oral diarrhea. Lol
RomanceRe: Insult Or Compliment? by caramel007(op): 1:28pm On Jul 31, 2013
segzi cres: IMO I feel that's a lil too direct for a lady. You can say "DAMN!" And if she asks you what? You'll deny. Lol. If you wanna make compliments like this, disarm her completely with alotta joke wink
Now, that is some tact!
RomanceRe: Insult Or Compliment? by caramel007(op): 1:27pm On Jul 31, 2013
@mynd, that's exactly what I do

@segeggs, not neccessarily end up in bed, but we meet some people who u d rather keep as friends @ worst but not worth being taken to the next level. So I do not think that was what mynd meant. Besides wouldn't I consider it a great compliment if some one I'm sleeping with says that to me.
Nlnders, ever the judgemental lot.

So, have you guys started dating again? Or are you still mulling it over if you should?

Well, no one should really blame the op, it takes a huge amount of will power to call it quits with someone you've grown quite attached to. Not forgetting the mind-blowing
sex.

Op, it was your choice to get groovy with him and now that the scales have fallen from your eyes, I suggest you just go with the flow. Let sleeping dogs lie. For the sake of your conscience abeg.
No we are not dating. I m not even considering it moreso I don't find him attractive anymore despite the fact that he is now single. He isn't giving up though as he vowed not to give up (I laugh) and I asked him to shed some weight while at it. Lol

Forget him? Mehn you are dribbling back, he is so yesterday!

Mynd finally said something.

Seriously I just feel some things are better left unsaid. It takes a 'gentleman' to know that. Obviously such species are in the monirity.

If only you know how emotionally attached I am to this wonderful story of yours, you will update regularly. Cos I can't wait to see the story unfold especially for Rolake, I do not even want to imagine her despair.

My best story in this section so far and trust me I ve read a lot. I could virtually relate to this one especially one of the characters, won't tell which one...

RomanceRe: Insult Or Compliment? by caramel007(op): 8:49pm On Jul 29, 2013
@chidyhels, I find it awkward, I mean u can only make that statement if u ve achieved some level of familiarity with the person. Like some have mentioned I.e if you are dating the girl.

This desire to open this thread was borne out of two incidents that happened to me recently and I want to know if my opinion is shared by a larger percentage of people especially the female folks. So here we go..

1. There was this guy I met recently and while out on a date, this was what happened. It happened that I was walking in front and he was coming up behind me. The next question thing I heard was 'has anyone ever told you that you have a wonderful backside?' I felt far from being complimented knowing that he had no qualms making obvious what he should have hidden.

2. I changed my display picture on my bbm today with a picture that wasn't even exposed at all. My friend (or shold I say aquaintance) pinged 'nice cleavage'. I had the same feeling I felt with the above episode. I simply ignored the comment like I didn't see it.

So for the ladies, pls share your experiences if u have one. Did it come across as a compliment or are u like 'no biggies'?

And for the guys ( u could share ur experiences too if u don't mind) would you go ahead and compliment a lady on her 'assets' (u know the ones I m talking about)? If its okay, wat would make u do that?

Would love to hear your views.

Cheers!

repogirl: Okay, y'all can go on to the blog to read the write up y'all have been asking me to send via mail. So no more email sending abeg.

thanks.
I m lost here, reopgirl, what are u talking abt? What mails? And why haven't I seen your updates since forever? U want to give me heart attack right?
LiteratureRe: False Pretenses <1ST POSITION, ROMANCE STORY OF THE YEAR AWARD, 2013> by caramel007(f): 7:55am On Jul 16, 2013
If I were repogirl, I would ignore the destructive criticism, sift through the constructive criticism. The ones who enjoy your story the most are not the ones who post on this thread, but the silent supporters like me who scroll through your story until the next update.
This is because some nigerians rely on someone else success to validate their own inadequacies. So, for everyone who has criticised ropogirl, unless you can show me your own piece of writing, then she can listen to you, I even doubt if some of you can write a simple composition yet u feel u can do better.

Let us appreciate the fact that she post updates for our own viewing pleasure because if some of u are as good as your criticism imply, then u would know that writing demands more than putting pen on paper...

Go repogirl! You rock! I ve followed your thread from beginning to this point and this is my first time of posting here.

More ink to ur pen

CelebritiesRe: OJB Responds To Juliet Ibrahim Questioning His Kidney Transplant Cost by caramel007(f): 6:07pm On Jul 03, 2013
With all due respect but nairalanders please correct me if I m wrong.
Remember Steve 'the sleek' Kadiri? When he had kidney problems I cloud remember that his pleas were made from the confines of the hospital. You cloud see from his contenance that his condition was critical.

Now, back to OJB, I haven't seen pictures nor videoa of him being in the hospital and we are expected to believe his condition is critical?n I read somewhere that he has about 8 weeks to live. If tghats the case then he should be in the hospital receiving treatment instead of being in the media defending and commenting on evry rumour.

In all of thisn I must admit that his PR team haven't done a good job.

This is my opinion. You don't have to buy it, it is exclusive to me and me only...
RomanceRe: Can You Trust Your Best Friend With Your Partner? by caramel007(f): 6:23pm On Jun 30, 2013
sexkillz: You should trust your partner, not your best friend. . . No matter what a best friend does or says to your partner, if he or she is not swayed, nothing happens. The fault always comes from the partner. The final choice rests on them.

So, do you trust your partner? If no, why on earth are you still with someone you cannot bring yourself to trust? Don't you think something is wrong with you, if you fall in this category?

you are so on point. Come to mama for the kiss of life. Omoluabi. Lol

I must really confess I appreciate your response to my post. From ogugua's analysis to 4word's empathy and others. I ve been able to sift through the comments and understand different perspectives.

The funny thing was that I wasn't seeking for advice really cos I know what I should do, as much as it seems a hard decision to take, my head would definitely rule...

Yomieluv: Op,what do you really want, advice or will to continue?

I see no difference between you,and a hooker. Girlfriend, pls move on.
Is it because I made the mistake of falling in love with a married man that you compare me with a hooker? Like you have never mad a single mistake in your life.
Maybe, unlike a hooker, I didn't do it for the money....

I am an adult and I m well of the consequence of my action and I know that none of you is gonna face them with me.
