Jatinzbusinessc:To start with, my question were of two different things; first a link to the Intel you have and also the programme you referred to as "something similar" if it's AYEEN or another programme. You've only made efforts to address the first part, but not the second part. To start with, understand that A.Y.E is not the same thing with AYEEN. A.Y.E means Africa's Young Entrepreneurs, while AYEEN is Africa's Young Entrepreneurs Empowerment Nigeria. AYEEN is an annual project of A.Y.E as an organization. A.Y.E has several members which I mentioned include some top shots. When you say you paid for membership registration, to be a member of the organisation, it doesn't tally with your screenshots. Your screenshots is about AYEEN and not A.Y.E. Furthermore, the J18 from is a form for applicants of AYEEN. The form is sold for N3,000 and is for those who don't have a comprehensive business plan, but rather than loose out, they fill this form, which explains their idea better in the absence of a comprehensive business plan. For the umpteenth time, the J18 form as far as I know, isn't compulsory. Applicants have a choice to make. For those who have a comprehensive business plan, the form is not an option. Personally, I didn't pay for the J18 form since I have a comprehensive business plan. Why they'd delay responding after you paid for a J18 form I don't know, I believe they should have given you an appropriate explanation with regards to that. Though I know that even this year, they were messages sent severally to those who have paid for the form and didn't receive it instantly to exercise patience and give a space of about two days. I have followed A.Y.E/AYEEN and their history closely for some months now, and I can tell you that I believe in it. |
Linzo:You choose to believe what you wish. I only asked vital questions, which could be helpful. Like I mentioned earlier and elsewhere, I was invited to the screening too and I'll be attending. I have spent quite a very long time to ask questions, make enquiries and research about the programme, and I'm convinced it is real. If spending my money on transportation from Port Harcourt to Lagos is the scam, I don't mind doing that. It's worth it. If AYEEN is a scam, so be it! Let me scammed for what I believe in. When I'm back from the screening on Saturday, I'll be back to this thread to share my experience. |
Jatinzbusinessc:Give us the link to the former post and the Intel you say you have. The programme you claim to have attended, is it AYEEN or 'something similar?' We are talking of AYEEN here. |
Embaszy:Here is someone who shares same belief with me. I just made a similar reply in another thread. I got the invite, I have paid nothing so far, I believe in the programme, whether I benefit or not, it doesn't stop me from progressing. I'll becoming to Lagos from the South for the screening. We can hook up, my email address is son.god84@outlook.com |
imagrg:Oga, to answer your question, no, they must not arrange accommodation which is not free to applicants. But if I may ask, is the accommodation compulsory? No, it isn't, you have a choice to make. I learnt something about AYEEN, when I first applied for the programme, getting a mail almost immediately from a consultancy firm, alongside that of AYEEN recommending them for writing of business plan and CAC registration made me suspect the scheme. Along the line, I got to understand that these guys are beneficiaries who have good standing, which the association trusts and believes in their services, thereby using their influence to recommend them. Imagine you offering a service 2019 applicants need, and AYEEN recommends you to each of them! So in my believe again, I see similar thing with this accommodation thing. Of course, so many persons will be coming from different parts of the country. Personally, I avoid anything that will make me visit Lagos, the last time I visited there with my mum, I was less than 10 years old. So I virtually know no where in Lagos. But I have made arrangements for myself, I am not interested in their recommendations for accommodation. Nobody is compelled. Similar thing happened with the options of Business Plan and J18 form. Some persons here made it seem like the J18 form of N3,000 was compulsory, whereas it was optional. I never bought the J18 form, because I had a Business Plan that was more detailed than the J18 form could be. In conclusion, if you seek my advice, I'll tell you to give it a shot, it wouldn't cost you a fortune and it will still give you and opportunity to learn and have different experiences. Your success in life isn't tied to AYEEN alone, so it's not a do or die affair. On the other hand, if you don't go for the screening, it could mean one potential beneficary down, thereby giving opportunity to others. It would benefit me more if you and a lot of other applicants don't come for the screening, as that would increase the chances of those of us who believe in the programme. Cheers! |
stagger:Share your full experience here. Were you invited to be screened by the judges? Were you told you've won the grants? Did you pass through the entrepreneurship (AYEEN) platform or you applied for loan to A.Y.E - the mother body of AYEEN. What stage of participation did you reach? Mind you, like I mentioned in my reply above, the guy who made that post apologized later, saying he was only aggrieved. But since I've done a lot of research, maybe I should inform you more on that POS talk. A.Y.E is an organization, while AYEEN is an empowerment programme initiated by A.Y.E. AYEEN gets funding, training etc. from the donations made by members of A.Y.E. Anyone can be a member and support A.Y.E. Some of the high profiled members of A.Y.E are Aliko Dangote, Folorunsho Alakija, Atiku Abubakar and so on. Mind you that POS at the award night weren't given to beneficiaries to slot their cards, but members and those present there who may wish to also make financial contributions to the organization. |
For you to have gotten that invitation , it shows how far you've gone with the whole process. I was also opportune to get similar invitation. I know of an AYEEN beneficiary, we graduated from same school. There are several threads here on NL for and against the programme. If you have read most of them, you won't even be encouraged to apply for it in the first place, or even put in the amount of effort you did, to get to this stage. There's a particular guy that was aggrieved after he couldn't make it last year, he went haywire on the internet castigating the scheme. Most persons saw his posts and decided to mark AYEEN bad, but most persons didn't see his counter post weeks later where he apologized, saying he was only aggrieved when he made his previous posts. I will be going to Lagos from the South for that screening, because to me, it is worth it. It is an opportunity cost. What does it really cost? I'll be happy if the number of people interested keep reducing, as the chances for those that will be there will be high. I think these guys have been open enough to allow every applicant make their choices, so no one should come here with all those stories of extortion and the rest. AYEEN or A.Y.E hasn't extorted or scammed anyone to the best of my knowledge. Till then, I'll be back to this thread to share my experience. |

I don't think AYEEN is still accepting any of those documents. The initial deadline for submission was 30th May, 2018. It was further extended to 9th June, 2018. I am not aware of any further extension because I'm also an applicant and I receive mails, SMS and WhatsApp updates. For your business plan, I don't think you'll easily find someone that can write that for you, with expectations to pay them when you win the grant. What if you end up not winning the grant? If you're very sure you have up to 20th June as you mentioned, why not contact one of their accredited agents, pay them, so they can write you a business plan. Better still, they're so many people and firms who render such services. But I bet, none of them would do such without you making any form of payment. Better still, you can reach out to AYEEN, pay N3,000 and get the J18 form. It's very easy to fill. It's just two pages and summarizes your business idea. Away from grants, since it's a business you're already into, do your best to have a plan. Your plan will guide you in your expansion. It is very necessary. I wish you good luck. |
I need this too, in bulk. I'm in Port Harcourt. |
Nice one OP! Please I make quality bleach and liquid soap, what do I need to get Nafdac registration? I already have a place of production, the compound is not residential, though located in a residential area and I have offices for workers too. |
Please how do I reach this body in Port Harcourt? Thanks. |
I just graduated few months ago and between January and February, I would be involved in two different businesses. All necessary information on business name registration with CAC have been gotten and would be applied in no distant time. Hence, I need all TCC and tax related information to avoid mistakes. The first business is a partnership and the second one is singlehandedly owned by me. What are the TCC/tax procedures involved in a newly registered business (partnership and sole proprietorship)? The location for both businesses is Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Additionally, during my undergraduate days, I was in Uyo and needed to process bank transactions, since I needed a valid means of identity, and having none, I had to walk into the Akwa Ibom State Board of Internal Revenue and got a TIN card. So, I assume I have TIN (though I've lost the card), but was processed in Akwa Ibom State and not Rivers State. I appreciate all contributions! |
sped1oro:Please can you link me up? I'm interested. |
It's surprising how adamant and unwilling some Nigerians are to learning. Growing up and schooling in both Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, this has been something I try to educate people everyday. Every group or society seeks and deserves recognition and regards. For those who maybe interested, let me educate you. After today, I don't expect to be addressed as 'Calabar' man but as 'Akwa Ibom' man. Akwa Ibom and Cross River are entirely two states and capitals: Akwa Ibom - Uyo. Cross River - Calabar. Akwa Ibom: With a capital city called Uyo, it has other prominent economic cities and trade centers like Eket, Ikot Ekpeme, Ikot Abasi etc. On the western borders, Ikot Abasi Local Government shares boundaries with the Ogoni people of Rivers State, and the Iwukem people of Etim Ekpo share boundaries with the Azumini - Ndoki people, likewise with Ikot Ekpene LGA, with a part of Arochukwu sharing boundaries too with them. All these are in present day Abia state. On the East, the Itu people via Ayadehe share boundaries with Cross River state, likewise Ifiayong in present day Uruan LGA of Akwa Ibom share a historical boundary with the Cross Riverians (this is believed to be where Efik people migrated from). In Cross River state, there are over 40 languages spoken but the popular ones are Efik, Ogoja, Ikom, etc. A few people from Odukpani and Akamkpa LGA speak the Ibibio language owing to widespread domination of these people by Akwa Ibomites who undergo several commercial activities. Efik is a language spoken by people from Calabar. It is also worthy of note that there is no universal indigenous language generally spoken or understood by people from Cross River state. Akwa Ibom, with a number of 31 local governments is unique when it comes to coexistence. It is the only state in the South South Nigeria where there is universality in indigenous language. Majority of the Akwa Ibom people speak Ibibio and Annang. The Ibibio and Annang dialects are interrelated and they understand each other perfectly. There is also the unique people of Oro nation who speak a unique dialect called Oro. The Oro people also speak and understand Ibibio which helps in closing the language barrier between Ibibio and Annang. The Eket, Esit Eket and Onna region speak Ibibio though they have a seemingly Ibibio language used in relating amongst them called Ekid language. The Ibeno people also speak Ibibio, majority understand Ekid, but they also have a unique language called Ibina or Ebana. They're other languages spoken by some Ibibio extraction within themselves like the Itu Mbu Uso language. A specifically unique extraction of the Akwa Ibom people are the Obolos. Found in the Eastern Obolo local government area, they are culturally intertwined and related with the Andoni people of Rivers State. They speak the Obolo language, though majority of them also speak and understand the Ibibio language. I don't wish to make this longer than it is, but I hope it is understood that just like Bayelsa state, made up of 8 local governments, created 21 years ago from Rivers state and part of Delta state; Abia state, created from Imo state and every other state with similar creation, Akwa Ibom State was created out of Cross River state and should be given its full regard and recognition as a state. Certain mistakes are not worth making, they go far to dispute our level of knowledge as a country. On September 23rd, 2017, Akwa Ibom State, the most hospitable place in Nigeria will turn 30. A man who is 30 years I believe deems it fit to have self determination, control and recognition. In that spirit, I join every well meaning citizen of our dear state to wish all Akwa Ibomites well in their endeavours. Akwa Ibom nnyin ke ado, mkpo aya aka iso ayaya, anyung afon ye nnyin. Ndito eka eyak nnyin ibono ke ima ndito eka, ima esit kiet, Ima mfono mkpo. #UyoNotCalabar #OrangeSeptember #AkwaIbomAt30 #Dakkada |
wolexter:Wow! Thanks for this, the message itself is more than a business idea. |
