0rex:You are 100% correct. It is really frustrating. |

First of all, start by checking the fluid level in your power steering fluid reservoir. Power steering fluid may be forced out of the system through the filler cap of the reservoir if the steering is being turned from left to right or vice versa without the engine running. This may have happened while changing the brake pads and discs. As for the brakes, you may need some time before the new brake pads bed with the new discs. |
Hmmm. That's really cool if you have the dough. In Nigeria, most owners of cars worth over N5m find it difficult to pay N15k for a full service. They be like whhaaaaaaaaaattttt? |
kingreign:You did't need to go too far in convincing this dude. The fact remains that he started experiencing the gear problem after he changed the atf to Type4. 2007 onward camrys only use the Toyota WS. Thank heavens the tranny is now fixed (as he claims) but I hope he has learnt a lesson from here. |
Coolcash1:The RX350 should be a better option. MDX are prone to electronic issues and some other silly things that makes one wonder about the build quality. Parts for the MDX are also quite expensive. The choice is really up to you because I no fit marry wife for you. |
You need to have your gear selector stalk and the range sensor (the selector on the gear box) set properly in sequence. Im sure you may have had a recent job done on the gearbox. |

The secondary fuel pump is mostly ignored by most mechanics when poor performance is noticed. Please also note that the GDi engine on a Mitsubishi is petrol and not diesel. |
My suggestion is that you replace the entire piece that requires welding if you dont want to have a repitition of the same failure. Welded exhausts tend to break off from the joints over time or leak exhaust gas. I'm pretty sure that you may have had a replacement catalytic converter fitted by welding. Its common to have them break from the joints over time. Tilting your car on it side is a wrong method. Advise your mechanic to raise the car from the ground (or better still), have the work done in a pit and completely remove the exhasut to have the welding done if thats your only option from an outright replacement. |
From my own candid experience, aside from worn out brake pads, fake brake pads and scored brake rotors have alsways been the problem. |
On most 1996 models of your car here in nigeria (Just like ive seen), it depends on the amount of repairs that it may have had in the hands of the Kazzeemms. If it had blown a top gasket in the past, then most likely, it has double gaskets which increases the engine cylinder displacement which will inadvertently lead to higher fuel consumtion. Other things like thermostat removal and wiring the fan directly to run continuosly as well as oxygen sensors that no longer work and airflow meters that have been adjusted could add up to a whole more list of uneconomical fuel consumtion in your car. Catalytic converters that have been gouged out, exhaust pipes that have been welded rather than changed, bad injector nozzles and widened spark plug gaps are part of a plethora of high fuel consumption consequences. harsh acceleration and over speeding could also be attributed. Better still, take your car in to a good auto tech to check it properly for you. |

GAZZUZZ:Take Gazzuzz's advice. Its spot on. Its possible that the inner CV joints are worn. They are common problem on these cars. |
Tolakay:Check the fuel pump and see if there is enough pressure. Also remove the fuel filters and check if they are clogged up with dirt. Replace them if necessary. Damaged HT leads may also cause current to leak and shorten the sparks to the spark plugs. Check for damages or leaking sparks and replace the leads if necessary. |
When is Buhari going to build the Abuja to Onitsha fast rail? I think its more important than the Kaduna-Abuja. |
This is proof that the leopard never changes its spots. |
If I had caught the thief that broke into my car, this is exactly what I would have done to him. Lucky ba5tard. |
If your car has tinted glasses, make sure you have the biometric tinted permit. You could easily end up with terrorism charges and your car siezed by the police. |

Same thing. VIN means Vehicle Identification Number. |

Rav4 1989 or Rav4 2016? 4 cylinder or v6? |
doctorkush:Very funny. |
Gazzuz u sef get time. See how u don't make ur gang gang up on richgang. Make una pity the guy abeg. Anyway@ richgang: That light showing indicates that you should check your engine. Its called the Check Engine Light (CEL) or Malfunction Indication Lamp/ Light. (MIL). It will usually come on when there is a fault in either the engine or the transmission or any other related module. You will need a scanning device and a good degreel of automobile competence and knowledge to pull out stored fault codes. The fault code/s will link you directly to what the cause is. You can try with gazzuzz again if you are in lagos. He's not a bad guy as you may think. |
mayor2013:If you want the real prices of these items, go straight to the market where engine and gearboxes are sold. I believe every town in Nigeria has a version of Ladipo. There you will get the best options and prices. |
TheLaughter:I reckon its better for you to go to the car dealers and compare prices rather than asking people here. You may also check online websites like olx and cheki to compare prices. |
